Howell's Western Cafe

The first time we went it wasn't all great we decided to give it another shot, and it wasn't bad and I love the chili fries. It's definitely a mom and pop type of place which are usually my favorites Waitresses are great and they were friendly. We like the homey feel.

Can't complain.Food came out quickly and our waitress was efficient. This appears to be a local favorite because the parking lot is always full. We enjoyed the pancakes and biscuits the most.Plenty of seating and you sit yourself. Ambience has an older diner feel.

I went in for breakfast today at 6:30 discovered that Howells has the best tasting coffee and for so early every one was happy smiling and it was definitely a pleasure a great way to start my day

The food portion for the price was incredible. I actually had a hard time eating everyting. The chicken fried steak, plus macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and ranch-style beans for $10! Wow! (Mom would be proud of my clean plate. Ha ha!) What will bring me back in the future is the exceptional service I received. Please only come here if you want great service and a good value for your hard-earned money.

I love greasy spoons and I'm not ashamed. This one is local popular, everyone knows about it, and they all like it. Most people in here have been coming for generations, they will recognize that you are "new here", and will reach out to welcome you! These are the things I love.The place is big, although it doesn't seem that way. If you look, there's an additional large party dining room, that seems there's always people in there. Therefore, the 2 waitresses won't spend a lot of time at your table. The flip side of that is the food flies out! Nice and hot!To address several of the other reviews, yes it's dirty. It needs a spring cleaning... badly. Who cares, it's a greasy spoon, and grease gets on the floor and into your clothing, and if you are lucky, into you! Deal w/ it!Food. Appropriately greasy. Plentiful. Well cooked. Especially the catfish! Awesome! (They are proud of their tartar sauce, so don't talk bad about it.) If you wanna appear as a local, start with the crackers & ranch, and then order the breaded beef crescent steak. It's like a Chicken Fry, but it's the version everyone in this town grew up on. They'll ask how long you've been gone!If you want a good meal, to warm your soul, this place is pretty dang decent!4 Stars

Howells is always good. It's a staple in Springtown and surrounding communities it's been there forever. I've been eating there since I was a kid. Love the pancakes.

The staff at Hills very professional and provide a good breakfast to start your day out with your service is amazing

Service was great, prices weren't bad either... I know that the restaurant has been there for many years, but my plate was delicious.

I love their biscuits and gravy. Also, the catfish is pretty good as well. Definitely would recommend.

The food is ok but noticed not very clean and they might need an exterminator.The staff is good and efficient but I doubt we go back.
