Hillside Fine Grill

I had the cedar planked salmon Whipped potatoes and green beans and it was the best salmon I've ever had ! Friends got Fish and chips and Hawaiian chicken. Service was fantastic and ambiance was wonderful. Highly recommend

The ambiance was nice, but the waiter was extremely rude and the food was terrible. We ordered the prime ribeye and the chicken piccata. The prime ribeye was supposed to be medium but it was rare, basically uncooked. We sent it back, and it looked medium rare (still not what we asked for). We just decided to keep it but it was also extremely unseasoned. The chicken piccata tasted exclusively of lemons (could not taste anything but lemon) so I asked if I could get something else. I got the shrimp starter but I guess he heard the shrimp tacos. When he brought out the wrong thing I was going to say it's fine, we will just pay our bill and leave and that I didn't want the shrimp starter anymore but the waiter ignored me and walked away. After speaking to the manager, the waiter tried bringing me the right thing but we told him that we already spoke to the manager and to bring us our check. He passive aggressively wished us to have a good night. Due to the service and the food, I would not recommend this place to a single person.

We had another fine dining experience at Hillside. The four of us ordered different items.Rueben sandwich: perfect balance of corned beef, sauerkraut, cheese, and tasty rye bread. Very tender and delicious Catfish and shrimp: perfectly deep fried, fresh, even the shrimp tails were crispy good, really fresh cole slaw, matchstick veggies were quite goodSirloin steak: cooked perfectly, tender flavorful beef, loaded baked potato was awesome, Hillside burger: best hamburger in the county. Perfect in every way. The interiors and atmosphere of this restaurant are spot-on. Carpeted floors and acoustic ceiling tiles keep the crowd noises quite low, subtle living room like lighting is romantic and pleasing. Wait staff is very professional and polished. This restaurant is very well managed and is a screaming success in Highland Village/Flower Mound.

Good food and nice interior of the restaurant. We liked the food selections and variety. The lemon chicken Piccata was good, but I do agree with another reviewer whey they said it was very lemony. I have had this dish before and have made it many times. But this one seemed like a lemon concentrate or thick sauce in a sense. Not bad, just different. Everyone else enjoyed their meals.

Easily 5 stars! Great food, great service, and excellent prices. We dined here as a family to do a celebration dinner for a relative and there is not one complaint I can make regarding our experience. We were offered a fine dining experience for a more than reasonable price. This place is great for families, or for a date night. We made reservations using my favorite app (Yelp lol) and everything went as planned. I was able to get there early and have a cake be kept in the back; the server delivered it with plates and forks at the end of dinner as a surprise for my sister-in-law. The entire establishment helped to make our celebration dinner as success. What a wonderful restaurant. We will be back for sure.

There is not a single thing I don't love about this place. The ambiance is absolutely comforting and inviting, warm and modern, and the music is played at a perfect volume. Their menu is very extensive (American type fare) with so many great things to choose from so I must go back to have more! I had the Brussel sprouts and peppers which was pretty filling even though it's an appetizer. I also had a cup of their seafood gumbo which was very flavorful and had some pretty nice sized shrimp. This place does fill up quickly but we got there right when it opened, and our service was quick throughout the visit. They have a very nice bar area to sit in as well! Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and what they had at the bar which is always good. Definitely going back to try the chicken piccata!

Hillside is fantastic and always has great service and food. Madolyn was our server and very friendly. Brought our cousins from out of town. They thoroughly enjoyed it. We usually almost always get the triple dip and deviled eggs. Why not? They're great! Hillside trio was the options this time. So tasty. Got the gumbo, etouffee, fried shrimp, green beans, and street corn. Had another Hillside trio with gumbo, salmon, cade's chicken, green beans, and street corn. As usual, everything was tip notch!

The food here is fantastic the service is always good and they've revamped their drink menu, the hillside martini is my absolute favorite!!

Came here in April 2024 and really loved our experience here! We actually started with the Fried Shrimp because our kids love that. For dinner we all had filets which were great, one of ours was slightly overcooked but didn't want to go through the hassle of sending it back. Dessert was also great -- we got chocolate cake and tiramisu!The restaurant was FREEZING so please take it down a notch on the A/C!Love this local spot and can't wait to come back!

Another great meal at Hillside! We have gone back many times- and much better reviews!Super tasty- piping hot- and GREAT service!! Rodrigo was amazing.Didn't get a pic of the pita/crab dip because it was gone in a flash! lolWould recommend! The value is great, ambiance, and did I mention the service??
