Hickory Tree Grill

Service was very quick and friendly. Food was good and hearty portions. Cheese fries and chicken fried steak were favorites. BBQ fajitas were not worth the money.

The food was adequate. We went on a friday night which was pretty slow. The server was nice even suggested we try out their brunch but i wasn't that impressed with the food so idk we may or may not come back. The steak was a little too undercooked for me and too many nerves in it. Maybe ill have to try something else in the menu. Great portions tho!

DO NOT SLEEP ON HICKORY TREE GRILL! Came in by accident, but will be making the 45 mile drive on purpose moving forward! Came in to super friendly staff, was served an amazing dill pickle martini then my FREAKING perfect burger and fries arrived! This is a must stop if ever in Joshua TX!

My wife and I have date night every Friday night and usually go to a restaurant in downtown Joshua, TX. The one we have frequented for the last several months is fairly busy at the bar, where we like to sit, so we thought we would try the Hickory Tree Grill this evening. The bar was very nice and we got a seat at the bar right away, so it started very nice. Our waitress (red haired lady. sorry didn't catch her name) was very nice and very attentive. My wife ordered the BBQ meatloaf and the portion was a great size for the price (two large slices of meatloaf) at around $16-17. I ordered the Chicken Del Rio and was very disappointed. There were two chicken breasts, one was very small and the second one must have been a baby chick because I could have hidden it in the palm of my hand. For almost $17, I didn't have enough chicken to save for leftovers. My wife wants to give it a second chance but I think I'll be back at the restaurant next door to get a lot more food for the price, even if I have to get there earlier to get a chair at the bar.

The soups and sandwiches hit the spot every time we go. I love a good Rueben, and am not disappointed at Hickory Tree. In fact, none of us have been disappointed in the food choice during any of our visits. Prices are fair, service is excellent, in all it is an exceptional addition to the food scene in Joshua.

I love all they have on the menu but the hand cut fries and homemade ranch are my favorite thing! Bar fully stocked and it's never a long wait if any when you arrive.

Pulled pork sandwich with fries...very tasty. Enjoyed the atmosphere and conversation. Will dine and have drinks there again for sure.

We recently moved to Godley and decided to give this restaurant a try for a lunch date. Sat at the bar...Ordered a beer & mimosa then Chicken Fried Steak (with the jalapeño gravy) & Fish Tacos. Both entrees were hot, fresh & just DELICIOUS! Looks like a great place for Happy Hour too! Will definitely be back!

Great ambience and delicious food. Good location. Love everything about this place. Bar side is fun with live music
