Hickory House Barbecue

Great place to venture to for delicious food. Customer service was even better. Great place to bring people from out of town. Definitely a hole in the wall.

Hickory House is down by the river and under a bridge. It has the well trodden vibe you expect from an old bbq restaurant. Wait staff was friendly and the food was adequate. HH isn't going to win any Michelin awards but if you want a burger or some simple BBQ give them a try.

We don't believe the pulled pork and grilled chicken was fully cooked. See image for your own judgement. Restaurant claimed that it was smoked for 12 hours and red was smoke marks. We regularly eat BBQ and have never had problems at other restaurants. Also everything was doused in sauce which is not uncommon but makes it difficult to consider quality of meats.

This place does not look like it will catch your eye when you past by it. But let me tell you they have some of the best juicy burgers. I went ahead and ordered myself a Double Cheese Burger with Tots and a Sweet Tea. Wow! The patty's are done right and are so juicy. The bun is nice and warm and tots were nice and crispy. It was my first time here so really did not take a good look at the menu but it seems like they have great specials daily. They also sell brisket and ribs as well as breakfast. I might just have to come back and try something else. For the fist time here they sure got the best of me and made a great tasty burger. I will def come back. I couldn't elige they been open for over 60yrs.

the food and the service were great. My boy liked it so much, we went back 3 days in a row. The environment seems like it came out of a movie -- old, established, with a lot of character.

Very delicious food! Great Service. Super nice. Will go again just for this even though we live 1 hr away.

Food is great, I was very satisfied with my service as well. The cooks a little off, but he cooks good food, can't complain.

This place is a must try area is kinda wild but you only live once ..

Nice place and it has sports decor. The staff super friendly. We ordered ribs hot links and pulled pork. Everything was perfectly cooked. Oh and BBQ sauce not spicy or strong but just right.. we definitely will come back eith friends yum yum

Really nice people and it looks kind of shady from outside but the meat is super good
