Okay!! I see you Celina!! Yall I was so impressed when I walked into Heyday! The vibes were just vibing. Calling all parents - call up that baby sitter asap and have yourself a little date night at Heyday. The cocktails do not disappoint! Order the Tropic like it's hot drink! It's sooo good and such a treat to see the bartender make it. It's a sorbet + drink an absolute treat!

Finally Celina is getting some decent night out options! Heyday is a cocktail restaurant with superb cocktails!! I've been here twice already, first time with hubby for lunch and second time with a friend for drinks and snacks. Every cocktail I've tried here has hit the mark and the food is good as well!The ambiance reminds me of a trendy Dallas spot (think Apothecary vibes if you've ever been there) and their mixologists at the bar are friendly and fun to talk to. The menu for their cocktails is extensive and the prices are really reasonable for the quality of their drinks. I have yet to try their dinner entrees but the appetizers and brunch foods are great. This is definitely going to be one of our new go to spots and love that it's only a few minutes from my house!

Wanting to try something new which had good reviews we opted for Heyday in Celina. We agreed to meet up with friends around 6pm on a Friday night so we anticipated a wait. To our surprise when we walked in the bar area was packed and there were a couple of tables already occupied. But the hostess asked if we made a reservation to which I said there was no option on their website. A waiter who was standing near by simply said, well you should have called. Anyhow, the hostess said they could accommodate us and showed us to our table. Once seated, by the way the chairs are very comfortable, we got the drinks menu handed to us but the food menu was only available via the QR code. A wealth of cocktails mostly gin or whiskey based, but we found a couple Lo Siento and Straight from the horses mouth. Both very tasty and the night looked promising. Once our friends joined us and had their drinks we ordered an appetizer, calamari, and our mains. I ordered the steak frites with chimichurrie and my wife the shrimp tacos. All of a sudden the waiter walked by and almost threw our appetizers on to our tables and didn't even say a word. How odd.... And suddenly the music was bumped up to a level I could hardly hear myself think, let alone talk to my friends. So we kindly asked the waiter to lower the music which he eventually took care of (10 mins later)As I was about to take a second bite of what was a tasty appetizer our mains were being served. The excuse was that the kitchen was gearing up for a busy evening and large orders... honestly I don't care. I don't want my mains and appetizer at the same time. Shortly after I asked for additional chimichurrie sauce as what I got on my steak was a small teaspoon worth (and that for $33!!!). As I slowed my eating down waiting for the sauce, my friends were finished and plates cleared and the same waiter who took the order for sauce had the audacity to ask if I was still working on my meal. Seeing he was holding what looked like the bill in his hand just proved that they were trying to rush us out of there. Not sure why as there were empty tables....So we got the hint and passed on dessert. Similar to our appetizers the bill was thrown onto our table. To my surprise there was an additional $0.50 charge for the chimichurrie sauce I never got. For $33 a plate which was on the smaller side, this additional charge to me is excessive. The drinks were good. The food is very tasty even though the portions are small. The service really needs to improve and be more personable. And if you expect us to be done by a certain amount of time, let me know in advance and don't put the pressure on the waiter.

If you're looking for an upscale date night or girls night (or guys night!!) place, this is where you want to go. I'm also extremely biased since it's minutes from my house which at the time of posting this review, doesn't have many upscale options.I have yet to eat something I don't like. I've been twice so far, both times I've gotten the deviled egg cupcakes with zero regrets, I've had the crispy salmon which is a "healthier" option on the menu, and I had the double pork chop more recently which I didn't read carefully and is TWO HUGE PORK CHOPS TOGETHER MAKING ONE GINORMOUS CHOP (see pics). My meals here are never cheap, averaging $40-$60 pp (plus tip) for 3 courses and a drink, but I'd guess I'm on the lower end as I share an appetizer with 1-2 people, get a mocktail (they don't have any on menu, you'll have to ask and keep fingers crossed--I've been lucky), an entree, shared dessert. The first time we went our server kept blatantly ignoring one of my 3 friends. She ignored her drink order, ignored her customization to her entree--it was weird. The second time was a date with my husband. We had Bri and she was great. She gave good recommendations and she was clearly more upset than me when my husband's food and my side arrived long before my entree (see photo where it looks like he has a huge dinner and I have broccolini). Overall, happy with this place and if they keep more servers like Bri, it will all work out well!!

Came back to re-review. Since my first visit I have been back twice. Once for lunch and another for a Christmas party. I must say they added more options to the food menu and have more improved on taste. Everything I got was really delicious. And the drinks here are crafted very nicely. As always nice staff but yes come here to eat!

Our server Brie was very friendly. The brunch was delicious and the cinnamon knots were great but we didn't have room so we took them home.

Beautiful restaurant/bar that's actually open until midnight. Exceptional staff, service, drinks and food. They have also added a dj on Saturday nights‼

Such a great cocktail bar! The food is incredible as well! So cool to have a good place in downtown Celina! Shop local!

1st I want to thank Alexandra. This girl was hustling and table to table. She worked her butt off and should be the trainer or manager if she isn't. The restaurant is beautiful and designed beautifully!! I loved the bee restroom and my husband got a kick out of Benjamin Franklin blowing a bubble.For appetizer we had Bruschetta and Calamari. Fair warning though it's not true Bruchetta with motz, tomatoe, and basil. It's an olive spread with oil and ricotta.For dinner my husband got the Ribeye Tacos, and I got the Pork Chop dinner. Both were amazing. Only recommendation would to provide a steak knife with the pork chop to make it more upscale. Drinks: we got The Manhattan, Old Fashion, Espresso Martini, and Sage Against The Machines. I would order Sage Against The Machines over and over it was so good.I'm excited for this place!!

Atmosphere so cute and fun. This has only been opened for a year. Menu has so much to offer. We came for lunch and the food and service were excellent. Our server, Ned was the best ever. Come for drinks or dinner. You will be glad you did. We will be back
