Henderson Chicken

Henderson Chicken is in South Dallas near Fair Park. It's not is the nicest neighborhood but the people were friendly and the service was good. You aren't able to dine. It's carry out only but there are chairs for seating as you wait for your order to be prepared. The restaurant was pretty busy. We waited about fifteen minutes but our food was hot and neatly packed. We ordered wings, a 3 piece dark, fries and kool-aid drinks. The fries and chicken were seasoned to perfection and the combo included a pepper, fresh bread, dill pickles. The kool- aid was a little too sweet but I added a little water to it. We will definitely be back to try some of their other menu options!

They over seasoned the chicken when we got home all we could do was eat part of the bread and the few fries that weren't hard as a rock. Smh. So mad. I was hungry huh.

Horrible chicken, expensive prices, and the food was raw, bad customer service, you enter thinking it's gonna be something different.

Chicken was really good and juicy, even the breast meat. It is in a less refined area near fair park but don't let that distract you. The service was quick and the ladies were nice.

This establishment is very flavorful. I can compare it to Popeyes chicken on one of the good days. I got the 4pc Dark Combo which was real juicy with some crispy fresh shoestring fries. If you're ever in the Dallas area, this is a chicken establishment you should give a try.

Honestly, a little on the fence here. We walked in at 11:45 AM for lunch and they were out of a lot of items, apparently they were waiting on a truck to come in. Ok, I get that, it's cool. So I order tenders and was told it'll be 5 minutes, they don't have any prepared. So it was more like 15 minutes...and my friends had to stand there with their to-go food getting cold while I wait a really long time for tenders. They also have no sodas or tea here...just fruit punch and lemonade. The lemonade was out (surprise!) so the only thing they had was fruit punch...but it wasn't cold. Apparently they don't have ice either. So I'm basing my review on the actual food I rec'd. I love the freshness of them, love the light and crispy coating...and make sure to get the seasoning sprinkled on top. For me, that's the best part. Make sure to also get extra (whole) jalapeños with the carrots and pickles on the side to squeeze on top...that's a game changer. Chicken and fries are served on two pieces of white bread. Yum. I'll go back most likely...hope that next time the chicken place hasn't run out of chicken before lunchtime, and I'll get a drink once I get to work.

This is a Dallas icon... Some of the best fried chicken I have ever had... And I've been going there for over 30 years... However, yesterday I walked in at 11:30 AM and there were six people ahead of me and only one person behind the counter, who was taking orders, as well as filling orders... I understand finding good help is hard these days But I did not have the time to wait and turned around and left... I wonder how many other people did this... Shout out to the owner to step in and help out especially during the lunch crowd... The guy was doing his best behind the counter, but like I said, one person trying to do everything did not work.

Good morning people went to Henderson this morning the owner or whoever she is is so disrespectful has no class I actually put on her door and she said stop pulling on my door y'all messing it up it was 11:05 they open at 11:00 so I put on her door proceeded into the building to speak said good morning she turned her back to me as I was trash I wish I would spend my money in a facility like that I used to go over there all the time I will never ever go again terrible terrible customer service and if that's the owner hunting you need to go back and get learned relearn on how to treat people

The lady at the register said she was a manager and the lady fixing the orders was in her 70's but she left her inside by hers for 50 min while in the car smoking cannabis. I was waiting on my order for 1hr and 20 min. Until after being skipped 14 times. My number was 002 and they was on 015 prior to me asking how much longer. Then a guy came from the back so I asked him was he the manager and that when he went to the car to get the lady that said she was a manage. Once she came inside I explained to her that I had been sitting for 1 hr and 20min she said well you can have your money back and leave. I was discriminated against because of my beauty. If you're not from that area and look nice the woman worker that called herself a manager will automatically judge you and be rude. Not to mention when I told her my order she walked off and then came back saying 6.00 so I explained to her I had more to add to my order after she rung it up she walked off again saying Oh Lord!!! My Experience was terrible and not recommended due to the rude service.

This location has terrible service. The staff was extremely rude to an elderly customer in front of me and I was so disgusted that I did not order food. Honestly this place needs to shut down. It's so intimidating and ghetto.
