Hattie B's can never disappoint me truly! I was so sad when I thought our Dallas location closed indefinitely in Deep Ellum, so when I found it relocated to oaklawn I was STOKED! Now let's start off with the vibes okay! Every time I eat here I'm treated with a smile and good energy! The service is top tier! After we sat and got our food, we were consistently checked on! Let's get into the food! I love spice so my spice level is always medium or hot! I love their tender combo but you can't go wrong with on the bone! My boyfriend decided to order their waffle on the side and omg! It was spectacular! The perfect chicken and waffle combo! They also serve an assortment of frozen drinks and beer on tap! But I always love to go for their sweet tea with a dash of lemon! So refreshing! We will definitely be back seeing they also have a drive through! Such a good experience overall!

I stopped by Hattie B's for dinner because I was craving some spicy chicken, and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly, which made a great first impression.I ordered the Tender Basket with fries and chose the "hot" spice level from their variety of options. After being handed a cup to grab a drink of my choice, I sat at the bar and waited. Just 10 minutes later, my food was ready--and it was so fresh! The chicken tenders had the perfect level of heat, exactly as advertised, and the fries were hot, crispy, and seasoned perfectly. Everything hit the spot, and I'll definitely be coming back for more!

This is just like the Nashville location I used to go to. They also have the same heat levels. I tried hot and damn not. Hot was really hot and I had to eat ice cream with it. Damn hot was not as bad but more concentrated. I like hot more for the heat level. The sides were awesome, greens with bacon and cheese grits I loved. Mac and cheese was spicy which was too much after hot chicken. Advice. Don't drink water with hot chicken. Last. They have parking. When they first opened I thought it was a different location in Dallas but maybe I'm imagining that.

I came here for the second time today and loved my meal! I got a mild spicy chicken tender combo and it was the perfect level of spice. I usually love spices, but when I got the medium level spice last time it was too spicy for me to eat. The mild was the perfect level and the food was delicious! The restaurant is super clean and the service was very fast.

Hattie B's Hot Chicken at 3827 Lemmon Ave, Dallas, TX 75219With all the surprisingly up and coming hot chicken places now This was the one I was looking for the most for eating that good chicken . I was not overwhelmed by the setting, it is an excellent location for business. You will have a hard time getting into the parking lot on some days especially around lunch time. The food did not do it for me this is just my opinion and that's the problem. It was not exceptionally or expensive either. So I got to give them that the service was very good, but to me this location seemed a little small inside. The table was sticky as hell and this drove my friend a little crazy They do have an outside eating area but it was windy that day. Overall if I was in the neighborhood and I wanted some hot chicken I would go back to this place .

We Have A Winner! When I saw the announcement Hattie Bs was closing in Deep Ellum, I was disappointed. I had finally found a great Hot Nashville Chicken joint. Then, just as quickly,I was elated to find out it wasn't a closing at all but, a relocation. Luckily, I remembered as I was cutting across town that, the new location in an old original International House of Pancakes building, was close. Perfect. The new menu is a little confusing and could use some help. However, the staff is super friendly and smoothly facilitates the ordering processI went for the classic mild sandwich. A chicken breast fried to perfection on a soft white toasted bun topped with well executed cole slaw. Almost perfect.Speaking of perfection, the crinkle cut fries( I hate to sound cliche) are the best I've ever had. Extra crispy, lightly seasoned outside, creamy soft inside. I could order just these and be happy. This location is more convenient than the parking nightmare of the old site. I've definitely found me another go to forFried Chicken satisfaction in Dallas.Go!

Please come to California!! Whenever I am in a city that has Hattie, I definitely have to do a stop. This is a especially the best! The service here is excellent. They are very attentive. They come check on you at your table. there's tons of seating all over much larger than the other location. The food is amazing. I like a little so I usually go for the hot. I also prefer the bone in chicken over the chicken sandwiches. Make sure to eat the bread soaked in delicious spices. My favorite sides are the mac & cheese and the collard greens. I did get to try the cheesy grits, which were excellent too. It was nice, we were able to try shut the cluck up and it was way too hot for all of us. And it was so kind that they brought us some ice cream to help calm down the heat.

Once the Deep Ellum location closed (sadly near where I often stay downtown), I was happy to hear a new venue was opening in the Dallas area. I stopped by twice in October 2024 to try out the newly minted venue.Having been to several locations across the nation (most at the original location in Nashville), I know what Hattie B's heat levels should be. For my palate, hot is a the perfect level of tolerable heat. No big deal going down, digesting, or aftermath (shall we say). Damn hot--which I often order as well--should make me tear up while eating, stomach begs for dairy, and causes eye swelling struggle when I take out my contacts for the night. Two different visits, two different weeks, same meal (as seen for check-in photos)...sadly, the same experience--NO heat. While Damn Hot *looked* darker/brick red (like it typically does) my body responded no differently. And the truest test--taking out my contacts--wasn't anything challenging. Yelper Amari J. confirmed my challenge identifying too little heat as well.My take away--the new Turtle Creek/Oak Lawn site has a few kinks to work out if we're to put it on the same par as other locations. I'm unsure of Yelper Rick V. and Brandon B.; maybe they're not used to heat levels?I'm a HUGE fan of Hattie B's. If there's a location near where I'm traveling, it's a must visit for one of my meals. I can say the staff is crazy friendly, attentive, and supportive. If they can make the heat levels the same as other locations, I'll be back to enjoy the beautiful spice I know and love.

I was looking forward to trying Hattie B's in because it is well known for delicious, spicy fried chicken. I was impressed by the lively atmosphere and friendly staff. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside but I found it lacking in seasoning and not evenly coated. I went for "Hot" and "Damn Hot" and was underwhelmed by the heat and overall flavor. For ease of comparison I'll just say that I prefer the chicken from Dave's. The sides received good reviews from our table as well. I especially enjoyed the Mac N Cheese which was creamy and unique with the pimento cheese. A downside from my visit was that it took 20 minutes for my food to be brought out. Literally, 20 minutes for a 3 piece chicken tender plate with Mac And Cheese. After 15 minutes I followed up with the front counter and they looked around frantically to see no food waiting then told the kitchen they needed number 3 ASAP. The food came out after 5 more minutes and the person who delivered it was very apologetic. She even offered a complaint art dessert for the wait.
