Habanero's Fresh Mex Cantina

We were in the area running errands and were in the mood for munchies. We haven't dined at Habanero's for ages, the restaurant was close by so Habanero's it was. We headed towards the restaurant with dreams of nachos and margaritas in our heads.We were so happy to be back. First off, Habanero's nachos are the best. We can never dine there without ordering their bean and cheese nachos. Why are they so good? Well, they just are. First off, their refried beans are outstanding but what puts them over the top is the thick tortilla chips they use especially for nachos. So many TexMex restaurants use their regular "table" chips. The problem with those is they're not thick enough, they get limp and soggy and there's no "crunch" to them. Habanero's nachos stand up to sitting on the plate and have that "crunch" when you bite into them. Totally delicious.For our visit we started with a couple of margarita schooners and an order of bean and cheese nachos. Oh yummy! Whoa, I haven't mentioned their excellent chips and salsa. Plus, they have a salsa bar with all sorts of delicious condiments. After discussing what we were going to order, my wife decided she wasn't too hungry, all she wanted was a margarita and nachos.I looked at the La Paz platter which had 2 tacos, 2 cheese enchiladas plus rice and beans. It was perfect for us. I shared a crispy taco with my wife, and we all had very happy tummies. What an incredible visit we had to Habanero's Fresh Mex Cantina. We much return again REAL soon.

Monday afternoon - saw they were dog friendly and had the pup with us.Here is what we liked:* Dog friendly. Brought him a nice bowl of water and the cook made him his own burger as the taco meat had onions. * Chips and salsa were good- light and crisp chips.* Friendly and attentive service..* The sampler platter had a good mix of items. Liked the deep fried jalapeños *Gringo tacos are exactly what you would expect.What could of been better:* The margarita was all sour mix- just ok.*While tasty- the hamburger in the tacos and sampler platter was very greasy.Overall a solid good Mexican place. But the dog friendliness elevates it for us

We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. For starters our waitress Nicki was so sweet. She made sure we had enough refills and everything was going well. However she let us know that our food had been dropped off at another table so they had to remake everything. The wait for our was a bit long, then when the food arrives my burger didn't have the grilled jalapeños I had asked for. The food was pretty good. My husband enjoyed his drink except the piña colada, which had a weird consistency. The manager did try to make it right by giving us a discount and giving us a free meal voucher for next time. My favorite thing I ate were the stuffed jalapeños. Overall I would return.

Food (carne asada tacos/flautas/queso) was awesome, service great and ambience was nice. We enjoyed it and will be returning!

Came here with my family for lunch. Service was great, restaurant was clean enough and the vibe was decent. Food was a little too expensive for the quality. My mother's tortilla soup had a layer of grease on it.

Stopped by during labor day after our visit to stockyards! Place has a decent ambiance. We were promptly seated and were served chips and salsa. They also have a salsa station with multiple options. Habanero Salsa was a bomb!We ordered queso, veg fajitas, fajita bowl, Monterey jackChicken and kids cheese quesadilla.Veg Fajita was decent, queso and Monterey jack was very good! Veg fajita was okay, it was overfilled with lettuce. I would loved to have more rice and beans!While we were having lunch, owner came and introduced himself and mentioned they bought the place less than two weeks ago and offered Sopapillas and cinnamon ice cream! The dessert was the best part of the lunch! They gave us two of them for party of 6!

Firstly the queso is great. White cheese queso is my favorite. We had their burger for burger week. I know it's random but it was bursting with flavor. There margaritas were great.

I Order the flatuailada for lunch. It was a greasy and dry mess at the same time. Don't get rice. The only thing I enjoyed was the ranchero bean. Even the chicken enchilada was dry. Why the choice to charge me for the meal I didn't like at all. They gave me this a $12 gift. I would rather get the credit on my bill. What makes me want to go again

Guess I said it in my food photo but worth repeating. Great food, great experience with Mng JD Peck, who has my same initials lol. Great value and fun atmosphere. We'll be back!

Great food , drinks and atmosphere, it's just what this area needs , I'm sad I moved but still worth the drive!
