Guanataco

We decided on tacos tonight and chose based on a near me search after running errands. My husband's family is from Guanajuato so the name Guanataco stood out for us ;)Service is really good. Nice and helpful! The place is kept and clean. Great environment and vibe. The food was very decent and the portions are nice! The burrito we ordered was huge! They have a pretty good selection of meats to choose from. We ordered ours with barbacoa. It was loaded with rice, beans, and cheese. My husband and I split it. We also ordered some tacos de fajita and chorizo. The meats had really good flavor but they were just a little dry. I made sure to add lots of lime and salsa to make up for the dry texture. They have several salsas to choose from. I wasn't a fan of their salsa roja. It had a mayo taste to it or something. The chile árbol was delicious and spicy! My favorite. We also had the salsa verde and that one was pretty tasty. I'd come back if I was in the area. I don't think I'd drive out here for it. Overall very decent food with great prices and portions!

This is probably my favorite place to get tacos, elotes, I mean anything! Their chili/salsa bar is amazing. I can't think of the name of my favorite one but it's the light orange one. Its kick hits you in the end , delicioso! So that being said where this is located I can't go very often because of where it's located it triggers a trauma for me. I know TMI, so I get it to go & get out of there. This was a Friday I ordered, went to the bano, marveled at their ambience got my food & left. I totally forgot to take pics of my food, but I can tell you it was delicious & huge I ate it for 3 meals. I ordered the burrito barbacoa & an order of elotes. I did however get pics of the quirky decor. You should really try this place!

Just ordered delivery and the meat on my tacos was cold like it just came out of the refrigerator. I am not happy at all!!

Was on this side of town and gave this place a go. This inside of this place is very nice. Decorated nice and it was packed so it must be a fan favorite. I do like the option of different salsas they let you try and have for you. I got 5 tacos, 3 steak and 2 shrimp. I will say they were pretty small and lacked flavor. Still good. My mom got a burrito and she said it was good. (She's easily impressed tho LOL) but all in all I would go again to try the elote and burrito. Check em out

Everytime I go to Grand Prairie I find a new place I didn't know I was missing, and I'm a little mad at myself for not exploring GP more often. Where have I been the last decade? Guanataco has just been there existing without me and now I have 10 years of missed meals to make up for. You cannot beat the taco plate. $11.75 for 3 corn (flour for a small up charge) street style tacos with proteins of your choice, a side of rice and refried beans, and grilled onions and peppers on the side. Plus several salsas to choose from (the habanero is hotty hot hot so watch out. Go with the salsa verde for a delicious mild option). And you get a drink with your tacos -- all for $11.75. It's really a good amount of food for the price, which is low in today's world of prices. Any entree + drink under $12 is pretty exciting.I'm excited to come back for sopes or tostadas. Maybe I'll try the enchiladas. Or a burrito bowl. Whatever I get I know the filling will be flavorful -- the meat in each of my tacos (grilled chicken, fajita beef, pastor) was plentiful and juicy and really well seasoned.

I visited this place on a friend's high recommendation, and it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. One of the highlights was the multiple salsa options, each offering a unique kick. I ordered the Alambre, and it instantly became my favorite--perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. The menu offers plenty of choices, and the fun, vibrant atmosphere added to the experience. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Cute little place. The staff and the service was good no complaints. The food was good but nothing stood out. Was great don't get me wrong but some plates lack a little more for example the tacos could have had more flavor and fixings instead of putting them on the side. Not deal breaker but just my preference. The queso, bean, and chorizo was interesting without a doubt but not amazing. The alambres was nothing like I expected. I get the idea behind naming it that but that was definitely not what I was expecting. It was a semi pricey place and did not wow me for that price point. Still not a bad visit but I would not go out of my way to go there. Better taco out there for better prices to be had.

Al Pastor Tacos, Beef Tacos, Barbacoa Tacos, Chicken Tacos, Churros YUM. These Tacos are amazing. Sooo flavorful, great size, great portion for price. They have so many salsa options, and they're all so yummy. They give you tons of raw and cooked onion, cilantro, and limes to go with your Tacos. And the churros!! Omg the churros were delightful, fluffy and crispy and sweet

First time trying Guanataco and I will totally be coming back. The ordering process was simple and straightforward. The food came out quick! They had an assortment of salsa's and they were deeeelicious. I ordered a sope, taco, and margarita (not pictured because I devoured it). My group ordered: tortas, birria tacos, corn, tacos, guac, queso, and more tacos! So so so good and such a vibe.

I rate this place 2.5= the food was a hit andMiss! So lets start with the service : the service started bad so we were waiting for my friends another couple to show up so we decided to buy a beer and a margarita while we wait for them ! and they wouldn't serve us until we bought food! we tried to explain the situation, but they didn't care. But what ever- i think thats a dumb rule they have! But good thing that happened because i was going to order like 5 tacos that night! So because of the dumb rule they have i orded the taco de cabeza so me and the wifey can get a drink .that taco de cabeza was not good! No flavor, super greasy ! Like after i ate the taco my tongue had this nasty grease flavor! So because of the taco being not good, I'd ordered something else instead of the tacos! Since I felt if this taco was not good, the rest of the tacos will not be good either! We ordered:la cubana: it was good! I recommend getting this when you come to this restaurant! Sope de chicharron : nope! not good! Taco de alambre ( Arrachera) y camarón: good- meat was a little dry but with everything on it you can't tell muchBurrito de barbacoa: not good! Lettuce should not be in no tacos and especially in no burrito! Way to greasy! Not flavorful enough!! Birria tacos: they need to be little crunchy more crispy- quesa-tacos need to have a crunch: the meat was not flavorful like other places! It was missing flavor! Pozole verde: was really really good! like if I'm around this area I would go to buy it !! Cóctel de camarón : not good at all 0 out of 10 - the shrimp was rubbery! Like they cook the shrimp way too long! The shrimp had a nasty taste to it like it was gonna go bad soon! Taco de camarón; same thing the shrimp overcooked small and nasty! The churros were really good! 100 recommend This place needs more consistency with his food! I love the decor of this spot !! This spot has potential but the food needs to be better!!
