Been many years since my last (and only) visit. Not sure why I waited so long! Great experience both times. Service from "Paige G" and team was excellent. Ambiance is "nice casual". Everything ordered was well prepared and tasty. The only "negative" was not thinking about it being Texas / O.U. weekend when booking the reservation weeks before. Not the best day to drive down there!

My husband and I had our anniversary reservations at Gemma. I was really looking forward to having a great meal and experience. Especially after seeing all the pics and being a Michelin 5 Star restaurant. Sadly that wasn't our experience. Upon sitting down the man who sat us said we wanted to find you a more intimate spot but the table we had is squatting. It is pretty packed inside with tables extremely close to each other and it's loud. If I extended my arm I would've hit the person next to me. Our waitress was nice and attentive no problem with her. We ordered the steak frites and Cajun ribeye. It was too rare for us and it had to be sent back to the kitchen. We asked for medium rare plus which we explained how we liked it to the waitress when ordering. Ruined it for us. I lost my appetite while waiting and ended up not finishing our meal. The steak frites had an awesome chimichuri sauce and came with fries. Nothing too special. It was a very nice cut of steak. The bathrooms are so disappointing. I'm one that believes a bathroom tells you about an establishment and this one told me a lot. Just tacky. For a restaurant with 5 star pricing I was highly disappointed. Too loud, too packed, the dish the food was served on was tacky, felt they were trying to get as many people as they can to fit in and the food undercooked. No intimate conversations here. I'm happy we tried it but won't be going back.

While we loved the food, we didn't love the service. We started w the Korean sticky ribs and the crudo. Crudo was awesome, ribs were ok. I got the steak frites and they were delicious. Everyone else also loved their meal. The margarita was great. The service was ok just really slow. Expect a long dinner.

We finished our last evening in Dallas at Gemma for a 2.5 hour dinner! Gemma is a Bib Gourmand, honorable mention restaurant recognized by Michelin for their fantastic food and recognized by The James Beard Foundation for their excellence in service! The restaurant did not disappoint! It was a fantastic finish to a wonderful trip to Dallas!

Great experience! Servers were very friendly and attentive and the food was amazing! We tried many things but the rigatoni and tiramisu were definitely some of the best things we had! The venue itself was a great atmosphere. Would recommend and would return.

Gemma Gemma, you've put me in quite a dilemma. Let me start by saying how great the hospitality is. From the birthday card for my wife we were greeted with when we arrived to the wait staff that made sure our glasses were full and made us feel comfortable, it's safe to say Gemma is elite when it comes to hospitality. In regards to food, we started with fried olives, Burrata, and Korean sticky ribs. The fried olives and pecans were something I never expected I would like but were so good. Such a great salty taste to start our meal. The Burrata was wonderful. The bite with the Burrata, peppers, and prosciutto on the toasted bread was bursting with flavor. The highlight of the appetizers was the sticky ribs. Easily the best ribs I'd ever eaten. I want a bottle of that sauce to go.For entrees we indulged in the rabbit pappardelle and Idaho trout. I can't explain the comfort I felt eating the rabbit pappardelle. It felt like home and visiting a new city for the first time all wrapped in one. My only regret is we didn't get to try the rigatoni alla vodka. For dessert, we saw "panna cotta" and went blind because panna cotta is my wife and i's favorite dessert. I wish we would've read that it was made with a blood orange liqueur. To be blunt, it tasted kind of like a Jell-O shot in panna cotta form. I'm not sure who like that's kind of flavor, but I wish we would've tried something else and ended on a higher note.

What a hidden gem! Tucked away on Henderson from the bustle of the bar scene is this amazing Italian spot. I have driven past it so many times and finally made a reservation. The food, drinks and service were all great. The interior design of the space would be enhanced, but it was a wonderful experience overall. I will definitely be going back.
