So I recently visited Galligaskins and had a rather disappointing experience. Our server, a young girl whose name I unfortunately did not catch, did not greet us and wasn't the most welcoming. We ordered a kids' meal chicken nuggets with fries, a grilled chicken sub with salad, and a Philly cheesesteak for my brother. The difference in portion sizes was striking: my brother's Philly cheesesteak was full and satisfying, while my chicken sub was notably skimpier. The fries that came with the meals were decent, according to my brother's review, but the quality of my food left much to be desired. We arrived about an hour and a half before closing, and there were only a couple of other diners in the restaurant, so I'm not sure why the quality was so lacking. I won't give up on Galligaskins just yet, but this was an overall sad interaction.

Look of place: Imma be honest here and don't hate me. Walking in this place gives me an old school I'm suppose to walk through the back and order away from everyone. I'll just leave it at that. Food: I ordered a breakfast burrito with eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, cheese, veggies. Now I will say the amount of food they put on the burrito was a lot so I'm grateful for that. They put so much they couldn't even close it I had to ask for another tortilla. As far as taste is concerned it's subpar in my opinion. There was no reason seasoning to it other than the sauce I got. I made sure to taste the potatoes and things separately to make sure and though everything was cooked well it just tasted bland for me . Eggs tasted like eggs, bacon tasted like bacon, potatoes taste like potatoes etc. The pink lemonade I guess that's what it is..Tasted unsweetened which I'm guessing that's just the theme here so for someone who needs to watch their sugar intake this would be a good place for you.

I hadn't eaten at Galligaskins in almost 20 years. A friend of mine posted her food on FB and everyone wanted to know where it came from. She said it came from Galligaskins and I drove out two days later. They did not disappoint either. I had the Marinated Chicken Sub, Fresh Cut Fries, White Chocolate Macadamia cookie and Pink Lemonade. Everything hit the spot.

The best sub shop in Fort Worth, I have tried other places and I always come back here for their good consistent ingredients, there pepper topping is a must on an sub, and the staff are super friendly, a great Fort Worth staple if you are looking for a great hot or cold sub.

Finally got around to trying Galligaskin's, it was good and I'd definitely return. It's nice to see a submarine style sandwich place these days. The menu is pretty basic-as it should be-and features all the classic deli options and toppings. Side note: every sandwich shop should offer oil and vinegar, you don't see that too often anymore and the fact that Galligaskin's has it was a great touch. Portions are good and I don't feel like I got skimped. They do a great job because they keep it simple, something so many places fail to do.It's in a small little spot and that adds to the charm. Staff was friendly and fast, I don't think I waited more than a minute or two for my sandwich. Prices are a little steep, but it's like that everywhere these days. I don't feel like I got ripped off.Go give them a shot, worth the money and time. Parking is a little crappy but hey, it's a tiny little spot so there's not much they can do about that.
