Gabriela & Sofia's Tex-Mex

Gabriela & Sofia's is reliably good, I still really like the dip trio they bring out with the chips as an appetizer. The green salsa is amazing!Their tortilla soup is still a go-to for me; brothy, plenty of chicken, soothing. Delicious when paired with some picoso table side guacamole! Service is pretty regularly good, too, we are able to go for an evening dinner with family and take our time or go for a weekday lunch and get in and out in less than an hour. Over the years they've only moderately changed the decor, it's still very nicely done in a way you could come on a date or a casual Tex-mex fix!

I visited Gabriela and Sofia's Tex-Mex for the first time, and it was an amazing experience! For our entrees, we ordered the Flauta Dinner and Beef Fajita Quesadillas--both were absolutely delicious! The meal started off with complimentary chips served with the freshest red salsa (with a nice spicy kick) and a flavorful black bean dip. Everything we tried was excellent, and the portions were huge! We ended up taking most of our food home to enjoy later.The ambiance was great. Our server, Pedro, was friendly and super helpful, making the entire dining experience even better. Overall, a great spot for Tex-Mex, and I can't wait to come back.

Restaurants that call Parker Square home seem to change with the seasons. It's unfortunate, but there are still a few mainstays around like Gabriela & Sofia's. The fact that they have become successful in such an unforgiving environment is a testament to the quality of their food and service.Once you're seated they get the party started by bringing out thick, warm tortilla chips along with 3 different dips - a spicy red salsa, a milder verde salsa and black beans. Raise your hand if you're like me and tend to fill up on these before your entree arrives. On our last visit we were an extra hungry bunch so we ordered the table side guacamole as an appetizer. I will say that it took a long time for the server to prepare, but of course, good things come to those who wait! It was well crafted and very tasty.Despite being nearly full I still really enjoyed my cheese and chicken enchilada dinner. The sauces in particular were outstanding. Also, it was large enough for me to take home an entire meal from what was left. My husband wasn't quite as crazy about his combo fajitas. It was too heavy on the onions and light on the meat. All of it could have used a little more time on the grill as well. There would be no encore of this meal in his future. The rest of the family was on my team though, and thought their food was delicious.

Even though we came at 9:30 and they closed at 10:00, we felt no rush and he was super patient and kind explaining everything. Really made the experience that much more amazing.The other staff member, the gentleman who brought us chips was also awesome! It meant a lot when he checked up on us since we were out on the patio.Now on to the food. I normally am not big into Tex mex but let me tell you- the star of the show is their avocado sauce! I'm not sure what's in it but I could drink it straight!I ordered the fajitas- and it was so fresh and tasty- even the mushrooms and onions it was on were so yummy! My husband got Oaxaca nachos and he loved them.I would definitely come back!

The carne asada is served on a bed of grilled vegetables. The veggies are absolutely amazing! The shrimp quesadilla was so flavorful. Definitely a delicious meal!

First time trying and we are fans. We have been looking for a restaurant that was close to our old home and have not had any luck. Then we decided to try this place.... yum! If you haven't tried it you have to give them a try. I love the green dip and have not found anything even close to what I get when I go to Houston for I visit ny family....the green dip is almost a perfect match! We had the combo fajitas and they were delicious! Only thing we would change are the chips. They aren't horrible but we like the thinner chips. The service was great and didn't take forever to get food and it wasn't so loud you couldn't have a conversation

This is a hidden local gem! It feels like you're on vacation when you dine in - attention is paid to every detail.The salsa is fresh, plus they serve yummy black bean dip complimentary, and the food is terrific. Biggest challenge is deciding what to order.

we came on a sunday afternoon maybe right after the lunch rush because they were cleaning up a lot of tables before they could seat useverything we ordered we loved. got the chicken fajitas, veggie fajitas, and jalapeno bean cheese nachos. of course they gave us chips salsa and a bean dip too! the chips seemed freshly made.everything was absolutely delicious. We also kept asking for things, napkins, more salsa, extra silverware and the service was awesome!

Have been here twice now and will continue to come back. The food is so yummy and the service is even better. I think plenty of places have good food, but good service is what takes the food to the next level and makes you want to come back, especially in an area that is so heavily saturated with restaurants. (Not flower mound per say, but the whole dfw area.) i highly recommend this place and look forward to trying more menu items!

Wow!...no.....WOW!!!Finishing lunch right now and totally satisfied. Starting with the salsa and bean dip at the start to the #14 (brisket taco, brisket enchilada, and pork tamale), everything was superb. Forgot to take the before picture, but you can see the way I demolished the plate.
