Had a blast spending the afternoon here on a rainy day. Admission is $13 for all day access to all the games. The staff were incredibly friendly and the game selection was quite extensive

This was my first time busing Free Play in Dallas (I've been to the Richardson location a few times). Obviously they raised their admission prices ($12/person) but you can play as many games as you want. Of course there was a caveat, a lot of the games we wanted to play were either broken or had components that weren't properly working. (ie Guitar Hero game had one guitar working and the a button was broken, a pinball game was not calibrated correctly, a racing game had a pink monitor [sign it was about to go out]). Not sure if it was worth $12/person when the games we were most excited to play weren't in proper working condition. I don't remember the Free Play in Richardson having this issue. First stop was the bar and the drinks were pretty good & decently priced. Make sure to check out their menu, they have different specials each day of the week! The bartenders were attentive and super nice. Great customer service. I personally didn't order any food but our friend in our party ordered the vegan sandwich and she said it was delicious!Ambiance was pretty cool! It was definitely a fun arcade to go to.

Great place to enjoy pinball and video games for one low price. You can also enjoy food and drinks as well. Great for friends, dates or going solo. Parking is hard to find on weekends so try to go early or expect to pay 10 dollars for parking. It stays open until 2am so alot of time to enjoy yourself.

We had a meeting nearby and had been wanting to see what Freeplay is like, so we popped into this one. We thought, oh let's just get a drink and take a peek at what's going on. Well you can't just get a drink, it's $12 (after tax) per person to get in at all. But y'all, it's so worth the price. All of the games are ready to play--no tickets, coins or scanners involved. It really is so fun and freeing to be able to walk up to any game and just immediately play knowing you have endless turns ahead of you! The skee balls just keep rolling out forever, haha. There's so many games here. Lots of retro video arcade games, which I'm not very familiar with outside of the few that were at my local Cici's Pizza growing up. Mortal Kombat, Pac-Man, a football game, I think? I feel like I spent significant time in there, I'm surprised I don't remember better. Going to Freeplay takes you back, definitely, but there are newer games too. So many pinball machines, lots of race-cars. Basketball tossing. Those dance games where you stomp on squares. Vintage pong. Pac-Man of course. Guitar Hero. Some kind of DJ game, haha. Something called "Granny and the Gators" where it appears you play as an elderly woman shooting alligators, ha! I played a few video games but mostly I like skee ball and reading menus. Speaking of menus, Freeplay has an impressive, extensive bar menu. This is what their website says about it: "we have one of the largest and best beer lists in the metroplex. named one of DFW's best bars, our award-winning bar also offers cocktails, wine, liquor, ciders, and spiked sodas. because we stock seasonal, limited-run, and exclusive beers, our drink list is subject to constant (almost daily) change." They have daily specials, too. We went on a Thursday which is 40% off all craft drafts. The food menu is great, too, and not what I expected. I thought it'd be more traditional, casual, bar food, like deep fried stuff and chicken wings (yum). But the options here are a little lighter and brighter.. for a starters you've got veggie crudités with a buttermilk dip, a fruit and cheese plate with crackers, hummus with veggies and pita, and mini street tacos with shredded green chili pork. Then there's 10 hot pressed sandwiches to choose from, served with potato chips. Lastly, there's 8 hand-crafted, personal-sized flatbread pizzas to consider. They honestly all sound so good, but if I could have one it'd be the Garlic Cheese flatbread: garlic olive oil, provolone, mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan, and fresh basil. Mhmm. There's a Freeplay closer to me in Arlington that I see myself visiting soon, because what's better than a cheese plate and skee ball??

This is my second visit to a free play location and it didn't disappoint. I'm so glad I have one so close to home now. This arcade is HUGE! So many vintage games, Japanese games, some rare games and pinball machines! I arrived at 11am on a Saturday and pretty much had the entire pinball section to myself for about two hours. There may have been 25 people total in the arcade during that time. I was surprised since it was a Saturday. I also got in for half price since I arrived during the first hour. Not sure if that's just a weekend thing or also during the week. I tried the Cuban sandwich and it was pretty good!!A great selection of beers, ciders, sours and cocktails. The service was great. The staff was so friendly and only took about 10 mins to get my order. There are tons of tables and high tops to sit at while you enjoy your food/drinks. During my time there the staff was wiping down tables and games. Awesome experience and definitely can't wait to go back. Hoping for pinball tournaments to start at this location soon.

This place is EVERYTHING! How can you go wrong with an arcade where you a low price and can play as long as they are open? The service was amazing, and so was the ambiance. Run don't walk to check this place out!

For an arcade place, this place was actually a lot of fun and I loved the choices you could pick to play. Great set up where you are only paying a door fee, but can play unlimited games once you've inside. There's a good selection of beers and food too. We'll definitely be back!

Fun place. Good for grown ups too. Food is good about over priced but that's to be expected. There aren't a lot of tables.
