We ate here on 3/12/24... You can't go wrong with whatever you choose for your meal here. And their fried pies are scrumptious.

Tried this place with my husband, food was amazing!! Meat portion size was a bit small, but the sides were huge. The service was really great and I can't wait to come back and try a chopped brisket sandwich. I really enjoyed both BBQ sauces they had ( Texas and Carolina) liked them better mixed up together. All in all I'd definitely say stop by this diamond in the rough, it was fantastic and the people awesome!!

I have heard the food is great. However I don't think the inside was as clean as I like for food prep and cooking

The quality has always been questionable due to small volume and the decor and ambiance leaves much to be desired!

Best lunch spot in east Texas! Great SW BBQ head chef plus family passed down true to Texas recipes equals food that I'm still daily dreaming about since I visited. The egg rolls! I heard angels singing!! The burnt ends, normally I find burnt ends way too fatty for my liking but these were cooked to a delicious perfection! And the smoke ring in every meat we had on the table was immaculate! I really don't have enough kind words about my experience here. And yes it was an experience! The owner himself came out to meet and greet us while we enjoyed our feast, what a delightful, respectful and smart man he is. We talked about his trek to pit master, the amazing flavors in the recipes he is creating and how getting the buzz going out there for a must stop destination, my words- it is true!- is so hard to do, especially when most of the day is spent creating this menu that has me truly excited for! I'm so grateful that I found a true destination must go to BBQ place..if you are in East Texas, make a trip here. I promise that you will be thanking me. Get a bit of everything, it reheats beautifully!!!

I eat here every couple of weeks. As a native Texan who lived in North Carolina for a bit I appreciate the choice between Texas and NC style BBQ sauce. Everything I've tried has been delicious, love the Brisket Deviled eggs with the candied jalapeño. The staff is nice and the owner is very friendly. Nothing fancy, just good food and friendly service at a fair price.

I had been here a year or two before, so I expected to be able to get a brisket plate for lunch. When I walked in, I was told that they no longer cook BBQ. Instead, they do baked potatoes and burgers. I opted for the brisket baked potato. I noticed that they pulled the brisket from the refrigerator. They cut off a few chunks and microwaved it. They did offer to grill my jalapeños and onions, which was nice. Although there were hardly any of them in the potato.The potato was what I would consider, medium sized. It came with sour cream, butter, cheese, grilled onions and jalapeños, and the warmed up brisket. The cheese was piled on top and never really ended up melting. I did pop it in the microwave when I got home to help it melt some. There was no barbecue sauce on the potato or offered on the side. The potato and brisket were quite dry. I ended up adding my own barbecue sauce on the potato when I got home. I will probably not return, as I was not very impressed. I did enjoy their barbecue back when they were selling it! It is a shame they stopped.

Absolutely one of the best hamburgers I've ever had. Highly recommend. You are missing out if you don't eat here. What it lacks in decorum it makes up on quality and quantity of food.

Found this place while camping nearby and it was very impressive! The service was great, everyone is so friendly and the food was amazing. We got the brisket deviled eggs that were INSANE, I've never had anything like it. We also got the 4 meat plate with brisket, jalapeño sausage, and burnt ends. Everything was so delicious. Overall a great place to get some well priced bbq!

Nasty, all around! I plan to call the county to hopefully inspect this place! We live in the area and will not return
