These folks are awesome, I eat here on my own, and loved it so much, I go to them for our company lunch. They prepared 50 tacos with all the toppings and sauce and all of my crew love them. Our favorite is the pastor. #1 spot for us!

El Rumbero is a true hole-in-the-wall delight. I had the mexican style eggs with homemade tortillas -- fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The real star was the amazing homemade salsa. The service was fast and friendly.

I love El Rumbero. Please make a drive out to this excellent restaurant. The quesadillas melt perfectly in your mouth and tacos are insane!

Today's tacos at El Rumbero in Carrollton, TX. These are likely to be the best tacos of the week!!! (My personal Taco Week). The two tortillas on each taco were a bit crunchy yet still soft. The flavors were amazing! I am definitely not waiting for taco week to come back!!! Steak, Chicken and al Pastor.

It pains me to write this but after coming back a few times recently, El Rumbero is simply not the same. Don't get me wrong. They still have good tacos but IMO this is no longer a must stop on the DFW taco train.Simply put the quantity and quality of the meat have both decreased. What was originally so flavorful and plentiful has been brought down a notch. The tortillas were also soft and had a hard time holding everything together. It feels like they are now rushing their food and not focusing on what made them great in the past. I'm rooting for them to bring it back to what it was but for now, a good taco but not a game changer in DFW.

This place had an incredible service. Felt super clean. And the food was a hands-down some of the best I've ever had.

The food is great. I enjoyed my meal and most of the people I went with liked their food. However buyer beware; the prices online and in the Yelp app are wrong. I ordered the Gordita and the total was $6.50 for the one item (no drink). There is a difference of $1-3 per item so if you are ordering over the phone based on what you see online, ask about the price. This is more of a traditional taqueria type place than "Mexican restaurant" so they do not have chips, queso or dipping salsa. The Gordita only comes with one sauce so I asked for extra green sauce and was told it was an extra $0.50. While the green sauce is amazing, the container the sauces come in are tiny (see my pic) so I really had to weigh flavor to cost. Flavor won because that green sauce is fire! The restaurant is on the small side, definitely no room for big groups. There's approximately eight 4 top tables and at lunch time, they are busy so be prepared to wait.

I came here due to all of the great reviews that I have read. However after trying all the tacos at this place, it was mid at best. Not sure why the reviews are so high here but I've had better in the area and outside of this area. The horchata was pretty good though.
