El Rincon Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar - Addison Circle

Spending the weekend in Dallas and my friend brought me to El Rincon, a restaurant she frequents. I had such a great time. Every single employee was friendly, the service was great, and the atmosphere was very lively. My friend and I ordered the Mexican fried rice which was made with chicken and beef fajitas, shrimp, chorizo, an over easy egg and a variety of veggies. It was pretty good! A lot better than what I was initially expecting. Then we shared a plate of the Dos Burritos De Carne. Which was like a steak burrito with ancho sauce and cheese. It came with a side of refried beans and rice~ however, because we were already eating the fried rice we opted out of including the side of rice it originally comes with. This meal was tasty as well. They have a great happy hour. I got the house strawberry margarita and it was great. The bill split evenly between my friend and I came to about $53. Not bad considering we had quite a few margaritas lol.Really great place to come and hang out with friends. I had an exceptional time. Thanks El Rincon!

Finally got around to try this cute place in my neighborhood. Actually went on a lil date here. Sat at the bar and ordered a frozen margarita since it was $5 for happy hour. I also ordered the Birria tacos. The margarita was pretty good. Just a frozen house margarita. I could've probably drank like 3 of them but I wasn't trying to do too much lol The birria tacos are pretty good. I like that they are actually crispy. They had plenty of birria meat inside and cheese and I love that they put the onions and cilantro on the side with some lime wedges. Their consume was a bit more greasy than some other places I've had but it had good flavor and a small hint of spice so I liked that. I will definitely order them again. We also got some of the loaded queso and it was delicious! I liked that they didn't skimp on the meat or toppings. I think I will definitely make this more of a regular place for me to just grab a good drink and a quick bite since it's right in my neighborhood. The bartender was very nice too and attentive so I appreciated that because the bar was full!

Been coming to El Rincon since moving to Addison almost a year ago. I've had a wonderful experience every time! The staff is always so wonderful and kind. The margaritas and food are amazing! Love their happy hour.

This is a solid Mexican choice. Closer to Tex mex than your authentic stuff. The queso dip was very solid and I would get again. Not the best but not the worst. I am a nacho connoisseur and the nachos are exactly how I like them. Individually topped. The meat on these nachos could've had a better flavor, but overall a great plate of nachos. The chicken enchilada plate was great but again the meat probably could've had a better marinade or more seasoning to bring home that last bit of flavor. Good vibes and location overall. Could bring the oil outside to the patio and had good service there.

I know it was a busy day but there's no excuse to what happened yesterday. From the moment we sat down to a sticky table to not having utensils, having to ask for them, then getting plasticware when everyone else around us had real forks, knives and cloth napkins to receiving room temp water and "iced tea" with no ice and finally feeling like we were being rushed so we inhaled our food. Again, I know it was a busy night, but there were empty tables around us so I know is not like they were packed. If the food had been delicious, I would have been cool with it, but not even that. I am so disappointed.

The reviews here honestly surprise me as this is one of my favorite spots in Addison Circle. The outdoor patio is right across from the park and is a great spot to chill & enjoy some drinks with dinner. Speaking of drinks, the margarita with a side of sipping tequila is one of my favorites. I will 100% be returning.

I came here a few nights ago with a group of seven. I had suggested El Rincon because I'd been a couple of times in the past and hadn't been disappointed. Safe to say, I won't be back to this location. Four out of the seven people in my group were sick the next day and we all got different things -- chicken and guacamole chalupas, beef fajitas and verde enchiladas. The shredded chicken in the chalupas and verde enchiladas was either canned, flavorless chicken or at least a week old. It was terrible. I made it through about one bite. I think that was the primary cause of sickness. The guacamole in the chalupas was not brown, but it wasn't green, either. It was in between. Just not very appealing to a customer. The beef fajitas were overcooked.My lime, on the rocks margarita was sour and didn't taste like it had any tequila in it. I'm glad I can finally write this review. I'm finally beginning to feel less sick.My only pro is that they have good tortillas.

We live close by in Addison. They have a dog friendly patio. Great drink specials. I love their margaritas it sounds cliche right? We had fun on Cinco de mayo. The food is 3 stars and the drinks are 5 stars. Service is 5 stars. We do love their salsa and chips. Thanks for taking care of us and our pup.

Ordered chicken al carbon tacos lunch special for takeout. It was salty and mushy, the tortilla was just grease. Rice had no flavor and the guac and pico didn't look fresh. Tea was good. Wouldn't recommend take out on this item. Maybe better to sit and eat at the restaurant. The Carrollton location was too notch, might just venture that way going forward.

I'm sorry this is just not a good restaurant. It's is a great place to enjoy a marg with a friend during happy hour and snack on some chips. I've been there twice now and both times the food has severely lacked flavor and made my stomach feel not great after. Don't get me wrong, I love the passion fruit margarita. If I come back here, it will not be for dinner.The service is good and the general vibe is good but the food is just so absolutely unimpressive.
