We really love this restaurant. It is kind of the anti-chain restaurant. The waitress was very nice and the food is really fresh and authentic. The tacos and enchiladas were both amazing. No ground beef in their tacos just actual fajita meat. They said they recently got their liquor license so it sounds like that is a change because they used to be BYOB. We didn't get a drink at lunch so I can't comment on their drinks and will have to try them another time. The ambiance and atmosphere is more minimalist...there are some good art pieces on the wall and they go with their more traditional Mexican flare. It isn't the chain restaurant that has thousands of random signs and kitschy objects hanging from the walls. They just seem to have nice people serving really good food for really good prices especially in today's world.

Excellent authentic Mexican food inside of a beautifully decorated restaurant located in a nice neighborhood shopping center. Who could ask for more? There's more! Super friendly staff and spicy salsas available for the asking. So good I've already been twice. Met with a group of old friends from El Paso and hung out all afternoon. We had a great time!

We will be frequenting this place!Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of typical Tex-Mex joints, El Garambullo Mexican Restaurant emerges as a refreshing gem. It offers a delightful and budget-friendly alternative to the giants that dominate the Mexican cuisine scene. Our recent Cinco De Mayo lunch celebration impressed us and we eagerly planned our return visits.Upon entering El Garambullo, we were greeted with impeccable service, setting the stage for an exceptional dining experience. The menu offers a diverse range of culinary delights. Whether you're in the mood for authentic Mexican soup, adventurous enough to try cow tongue or stomach, or prefer the Tex-Mex classics, El Garambullo caters to all.Though tempted by the Molcajete's allure, we opted for a more traditional lunch affair, indulging in the Chilies Rellenos and beef quesadillas. The portions were generous, bursting with flavor. And here's a tip: if you're like us and enjoy a bit of heat, ask for their hot sauce to kick your salsa up a notch. A little goes a long way, so sneak up on it a few drops at a time. What sets El Garambullo apart is not just its delicious food but also its inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is bright and colorful, tastefully decorated, with a spacious layout that ensures a peaceful dining experience, free from excessive noise. For those who enjoy dining outdoors, the small outdoor seating area provides a calm escape without all the noise from busy thoroughfares. In summary, our visit to El Garambullo was nothing short of delightful. With its diverse menu offerings, modest prices, and welcoming atmosphere, it's no wonder this place has quickly become a neighborhood favorite. If you're hunting for a Mexican culinary adventure that won't break the bank, look no further than El Garambullo. Trust us; you won't be disappointed.

Dinner at El Garambullo Mexican Restaurant- 109 West Harwood Rd., Hurst, Tx 76054 214.587.0309.It was our first visit. We selected it first because of the interesting menu items. Second because I am hooked on Mexican Fish Soup. They have 4 different types. My sponsor ordered the (Enchiladas Rojas) enchiladas (4) in an order. I ordered the Grande-Seafood Soup (Caldo de Mariscos). The salsa was very tasty and not too hot. The sauce on the enchiladas and in the soup was a bit warm. It took me a few bites to adjust my tastes buds. The presentation was very nice for both. The service was pleasant quick. The interior was cute. I liked the paintings. We really want to return and try a few more items. They are new, give them a try and I think you will enjoy the experience.

Craving Mexican food and a cold one, we found them on Yelp and headed in. First thing we found it is that they do not have their liquor license so no cold one. We ordered Dr P & Tea and asked about queso. The waitress said "it takes a while, we have to get the cheese out of the fridge and melt it." We tried it anyway and it takes like a block of cheddar melted with nothing else in it. Chips were a little hard. We left and went to a different place to actually eat dinner.

My friend and I like to try Mexican restaurants we've never been to before--you know, catching up on a Friday evening with good food and a margarita, right? Well, neither of us had been to El Garambullo before and the ratings were pretty good, so we met tonight for dinner. We were both SO disappointed. First, apparently they are new so do not have any drinks to offer other than water and soda. :( Our food was so understated and bland, (and yet the sauce was a tiny bit spicy) that it did not satisfy. We ordered enchiladas--four come in an order. I asked if we could get half chicken and half beef. 'Yes.' Is the beef ground beef or fajita meat? 'It is fajita meat.' Can I get more than one sauce on them? 'No. We have green sauce and red sauce.' I asked which one was better. Our server said that some clients say the red sauce is hot, a bit spicy, so we ordered the green sauce. I asked if we could get a salad or grilled vegetables instead of beans and rice. She said 'yes.'We got a plate with 4 enchiladas covered in an orangish-red sauce and cheese sprinkled on top. The salad consisted of chopped lettuce with two thin slices of tomato and some sliced onions. We asked if the salad had any dressing on it. She said 'We don't have any dressing'. Really? We told her we had ordered the green sauce. She said 'this IS the green sauce, the red sauce is dark red. I'm not sure why they call this green sauce.' Sigh..... It's a good thing I ordered a side of guacamole, but it wasn't the best guac I've had, either. It was meh.Our food was edible, it was decent, although the fajita meat was not the best quality; it was small pieces of beef, and I had a bit of gristle in mine. The salad was very bland (with no dressing). Over all, the meal was boring and nearly flavorless. There was absolutely nothing to excite my taste buds in this meal. We will not go back.I did not take any photos because they would have been disappointing, too.

Ordered to-go. The chicken fajitas were amazing, some of the best I've ever had. It was seasoned really well and the chicken was very moist and tender. The bell peppers could have been cooked a bit more but it all tied together well. The beans, rice, and guacamole were just okay. It was all rather bland but eating it with the fajitas made it better. Not great on it's own unfortunately. They had 2 agua frescas today, cantaloupe and horchata. Ordered a small horchata and it was 10/10 amazing. The cinnamon was just right and it didn't seem watered down, it was very rich.Would come back! Hoping to convince friends and family to try it out as well.

Technically 4.5 stars. Need more staff. Food overall was good. I had the Caldo de Res. And the hubby had Pozole. The Pozole was spicy but so tender and yummy. The hot sauce taste like Picante, their other location ( El Piquin is spicer). Definitely will come back!
