El Gallo De Oro

We love the breakfast tacos here. Our favorite in town by far. Guac is also fresh and made to order. Staff takes good care of you and menu is massive. It's our go to for breakfast.

I am in town for work and wanted some caldo. I searched around on Yelp and found a few good reviews about the beef caldo. It was a little weird that the vegetables were still hard but it did give it a fresh texture that I have never experienced in my life. The broth was full of flavor and even the portions of vegetables were just right. I'm used to getting a lot of one vegetable and it seems like they have the vegetables portioned out for each bowl. Caldo de res 7/10

Plenty of seating and it's always clean in there. Service is fast and the food comes out hot and good. Weird but they don't have prices in there menu.

We recently moved to Granbury, TX. In the past four weeks, we've dined at four different area Mexican restaurants. Of the four, we liked El Gallo de Oro the best. They had great food with a nice variety of menu items.

They removed the prices from the menu making it difficult to order. Mixed drink prices have been raised. Mixed drinks are slow to be made. Food portions seem to be getting smaller. I once liked this place, but it has changed so much that it just doesn't feel the same. I would rather go to another place, Fort Worth, Glen Rose, or Stephenville.

This was a great spot for dinner in Granbury, Texas. We started out with a chili con queso; which is a must when you're in Texas. They usually serve it with flour tortillas - and these tortillas were homemade and delicious. My sister ordered the fajitas which were super fresh and delicious! But i think the chicharrón sope was my favorite, hands down. Regardless, you can't go wrong! Ohhhhh and order a paloma! They are delicious as are the micheladas.

This was my first time at this establishment and first impression I thought it was cute. The food tasted authentic and was very good however the customer service was lacking in such a way I will not be back period and honestly I encourage anyone else considering this place to keep Moving on down the street.The waitress "Yolet", the best description I can give is inexperienced even she claims the opposite. Things that individuals were allergic were still left on the plate, items were never rang in, but additional charges for multiple sides of condiments or other charges were. This may not be a popular location all the time but customer service like that will guarantee a loss of tip every time.

Like others - no pricing on the menus for or any of the meals is a DEAL BREAKER. In addition there was a charge for a very very small bowl of chips/salsa. Also a deal breaker. And we had to finally ask for it and no notice that we'd be charged. Sadly I must say the food was quite good and salsa delicious. But I would never return or recommend this restaurant. The server may have been new and was certainly untrained. There were 3 in our party and we ordered 2 entrees plus margaritas and beer. Thoughtlessly she brought us only 2 silverware packets and seemed very surprised when we asked for 1 more. In addition we had to ask for water. I wonder why they are even in business.

Great Mexican breakfast and quick service. Get there early on the weekend to make sure you get parking.

We tried this place three times and we were disappointed each time. The food was rated by my Hispanic friend as the best. I guess our taste buds differ greatly. Texans are very critical of Mexican, Barbecue and steak . This food is almost inedible. No flavor and poor service. Good location but bad management.
