Good old fashioned southern soul food is what they're know for. Get your taste buds ready and experience the fried chicken or the fried pork chops. I love them both so I always get 2 plates. The service is prompt as this place fills up quickly. It's good to eat in or just as good to take out. The greens,yams, and fried corn are my favorite vegetables here, but come and try for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Great fried chicken, I haven't yet tried anything else but when it's southern fried chicken you want, Drew's is the place!

Are they still open?.... I've moved back to Ftw,I miss them.Fried Catfish Greens and Mac .

This review can be quickly summarized as: Best fried chicken in DFW. I can't get chicken home, because I sit in the car and eat it all.Do yourself a solid and make your sides at home and get their chicken. Finger licking good.

As much I wanted to give a lower rating based on the service today, I'll be fair. The Chicken which is the highlight of this place was delicious. I had the greens and Mac for my sides and they were ok but I've definitely had better. The corn bread was also not it for me. As with any popular restaurant that is short staffed , the service can go downhill pretty quick. It took almost 45 minutes to receive food for a party of four during lunch hour while other parties who were seated after us received their food faster. The owner I assume did apologize for the delay and I was compensated with a delicious pecan pie.

What a place! Came highly recommended from a friend awhile back, he bet me a kick in the nuts it's the best friend chicken I'd have. Needless to say I will be buying some ice later on today. Smothered pork chops were great also but the chicken was fried and seasoned to perfection! Whatever y'all used to season I want it on everything I ever eat again.. Service was very welcoming and quick! My only regret is not getting dessert. Get in my belly!

What can you say about the perfect soul food restaurant? Just two words, really: go there!It's pure Louisiana soul food, home cooking, just like I was fed at grandmas house down in Pineville, Louisiana when I was growing up. Everyone, the owner, the wait staff, the chef, the bus people... Everyone is smiling and friendly, and make us old a white folks feel completely welcome there, and even though it's a black owned restaurant with all black employees. Try the coconut cake! The cobbler with a scoop of homemade ice cream! The smothered steak, the fried chicken! You're gonna love it here. I have been a patron for the last 15 or 20 years! Just South if Camp Bowie on Curzon at Horne. Walk in hungry, crawl out completely satisfied!

If you like soul food, home cooking, whatever you want to call it, this place is one of, if not the best in Fort Worth.Smothered pork chop is fork tender and delicious.

Let me start by saying, I have been by this place a few times and they were always closed. Today was my lucky day. I ordered a small plate of chicken, fried of course, collard greens and Mac & cheese. The food came out, hot and smelling good. If y'all had smell-a-review, you 'd know what I was saying, lol. Every bite was good. So, good most people would say you could slap your mama (however, I would not say that since my mom is still on this earth and she'd slap me back ). The crunch on the chicken was so loud, you could hear it all over Fort Worth. Everything is served in Styrofoam, which is a plus because it's an easy carry out. One slight detractor, a little too much salt. Just drink plenty of water so your ankles won't be swollen. I noticed everybody was getting the sweet potatoes. That will be my next venture. I think if you want good down home Soulfood, you should try this place. I know I will be back.

Best chicken I've ever had, super crispy and very juicy. what happens if you kill yourself let him go great price. Peach cobbler was amazing too.
