I need to come here more often. Spacious atmosphere both inside and on the large patio overlooking the park. Service by Jairo was exceptional. He anticipated our every need and made sure all was right.Started with table side guacamole. Jairo made it for us and we loved it. Just a note that they do not include serrano or jalapeno peppers in their guacamole. You have to ask for them special.Steak tacos were fantastic and I highly recommend. Eventually I will have to try something else. We were both a bit disappointed in their refried beans. They may have been, but did not really seem/taste homemade. Sour cream chicken enchiladas were ok, but the shredded chicken was too wet for my wife and that made them disappointing. Hopefully a one off.

Don Pepe's is all around great. Nestled at the back of the Hillcrest Village Shopping Center, it has ample indoor as well as outdoor dining options. The food is a good value for the price. I have yet to try something here that isn't great. Try the queso blanco for starters or the bean soup. The service is friendly and attentive. Every time we come here, we get prompt service and are seated quickly. However, the last time we were here, it was pretty packed, so to be on the safe side, I'll start to place reservations. Glad to see this place get busy. It has great food for the price!

First visit to the new location and that in itself is a huge improvement. This location is spacious and wide open. The food was good, I went with the enchilada special of two , one cheese and one beef. Both were good but I did load the whole meal with extra hot salsa. I also ordered the meltdown margarita and it was sweet but packed a punch. We were seated at the bar area table so we did have to hunt down the server as she was also the bartender. Goof experience all around except the Mavs lost. A lot of TV's. Awesome

Don Pepe's Rancho Mexican Restaurant was a good spot for a mid day lunch. It wasn't busy and the prices wasn't too bad . Nice local Tex-mex with a "hole-in-the-wall" feel. The patio overlooks a green space and kids playground. I got the shrimp enchiladas . This had to have been the best shrimp enchiladas I have ever had. I wanted to order another one but the person in my head said not today and that portion control is important these days. I definitely will be back for more and add this spot to one of my favorites.

Tried Don Pepe's yesterday, the restaurant is very cute and the staff was very nice. The food was very bland and didn't taste homemade/authentic for me. Got the Cadillac margarita and that was VERY GOOD. I would only come back for a drink nothing else.

Three of us were going to a Mexican restaurant on Friday last but the wait was over an hour. We used yelp to find another Mexican restaurant nearby and found Don Pepe's. It's a little hard to find in the back of the shopping center. We were seated right away by a friendly waitress. Cops and great salsa was deliveredPromptlyThe food was hot and delicious.
