The place is okay and the food too, nothing memorable is way out of my way to ever come back. But if I live close by I might stop by once or twice a year. Plates were well served but nothing memorable. Served was attentive

I have only ever had take out from Don Chanos, so maybe I am missing something. The food is very bland and under seasoned. It is the school cafeteria version of Mexican food. The homemade salsa is tomato sauce with a tiny bit of onion, peppers and cilantro and the fajitas were so dry they were stiff. Maybe this is what a small town finds acceptable but I would rather cook fajitas at home or have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich than spend more money here.

Ate here a few years back and remembered it was really good. Passing through and decided to eat here. Was still as good as remembered. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Chips that came before meal were nice and warm. They leave a pitcher of salsa at the table which is nice if like a lot of salsa. Food came out hot and has great flavor. Don Chanos is not overly expensive either. So if in the area and wanting some good Mexican food at a good price, give Don Chanos a try.

Was in the area and stopped by, the waitress was very nice and told us it be a couple of minutes because they making the chips. Eventually the chips come and we order the queso. It was very big and tasted good. I ordered the Antonio plate, which I believe was 2 tamales, a cheese enchilada and 2 hard tacos. It was a ton of food for like $10. All the food tasted good and it was enough to share with my daughter. I'd definitely go back.

This was not bad but not good either, was just ok. IHad to send my chicken enchiladas back because they were cold. Hot sauce taste like it came out of a jar. No flavor and it tasted like tomato sauce.

Worst Mexican food I've ever had, and I've lived in Texas for over 40 years. Ordered cheese enchiladas, rice and beans. Was totally bland with no color or flavor.Service was extremely slow even though it was past the lunch rush.
