This is a hidden gem everyone should know about. The jerk chicken is excellent, are so are their bowls. The Chicken Calypso bowl is my favorite, and it is bursting with flavor. Don't forget a beef patty too, they're also great.Everything is made to order, so the best move is to call your order in before heading over to pick it up to avoid waiting. They have some out door seating (but none indoors), so for the most part you'll probably want to do carry-out.You're making a big mistake if you don't try this place!

Omg!! When I tell you I've been missing out. The jerk chicken and vegetable stir fry were seasoned well and so flavorful. The beef empanadas were sooo delicious!!! Apparently they've been there for 5 years!! I will most definitely be going back!!!

This place is seriously amazing. Steve, the owner and chef, cooked the best meal I've ever had. The food is full of flavor; the jerk chicken and pork are to die for. Everything about the food was fantastic. The restaurant is quaint and feels like home.

Man! Man! The real deal, I must eat over 100 restaurants a year and maybe 5 make me go wow! Trying this will make you crave more if you have never had Jamaican food.Went Friday around 5, and it was 20 minute wait to get everything hot and ready. When I got my food 20 mins later, the person in line was due for 30 mins when they were checking out, so they get busy (obviously) during dinner!Remember there is a difference between Jerk Chicken and Chicken. I went for the Jerk Chicken, Pork, Cabbage Stir Fry and Island Fried rice. for $13.95.Jerk Chicken was pipin hot fresh, my hands could not hold it but my mouth with a fork was downing it fast. I think they called it Mix, where its between hot and mild, highly recommend, its a flavor bomb! Pork was VERY VERY good, it had a great marinade and was topped with a little sweet sauce that was amazing. Some of the Sauce went into the rice which made the meal even better!PLEASE try the cabbage stir fry, it has a fun smokey taste, well seasoned and it only makes you want to eat more! All in all, too many flavor bombs to comprehend individually, it was fantastic and I miss it typing this out.

Some days you just need variety and Doc's will give you that at a reasonable price.Wings: You can get them wet or dry, mild or jerk. My favorite combination is the plate which comes with 2 sides. I pick plantains and island fried rice. Are any of you picky plantain eaters? I like mines soft and Doc's makes them right! The beef patties are also consistently delicious. The only downside to Doc's is that the main seating is outside and limited.

This was my first time trying Doc's. Everything is cooked fresh so it took longer but it was worth it. I had the chicken Keto bowl and my son had the pork Calypso bowl. Both were exceptional. And then we finished the meal with plantains. Have I mentioned how much I love plantains? Just excellent all the way around. Will definitely come again.

I am Jamaican American and happy to hear of a Caribbean restaurant in Roanoke convenient to Hwy 377. The place is very small so you either order to go or eat outside. I ordered a vegetarian patty and a side of stewed red beans. Both were tastyMy husband ordered the Jerk Chicken Wings with Broccoli and enjoyed it, although the wings were very small. The Fresh Lemonade was his favorite We will be back. I hope they add some more plant based proteins to the menu.

I could die tomorrow and I'd be happy. Collard greens were delicious and spicy, jerk pork was perfectly tender and flavorful. Everything was flavorful. Got me messed up.

Had tried this place a few years ago, during the pandemic. Had almost forgotten about it. Had a craving for something other than the usual fare that is served in the area (e.g., burgers, wings, pizza, pasta, Asian, etc.). I remembered Doc's Street Grill and stopped by. Glad that I did! The food was seasoned to perfection! I ordered the regular sized Jerk Chicken Platter - a leg and thigh of jerk chicken, with Island Fried Rice and Cabbage Stir Fry as the sides. The chicken was not as 'spicy' as I would have liked it, but it was moist, flavorful and delicious! The sides were generous in size and I could taste the freshness of the vegetables in the stir fry. The food was cooked to order, so it took some time to prepare (~ 20 to 30 minutes). I was able to go to the nearby Wells Fargo and Walmart before coming back for my order. Worth it wait! Maybe call ahead with your order if you wish to grab it and go. I enjoyed every morsel of that food and will be back soon.
