Dixie House Cafe

Had a large group of us going out to lunch and we were able to take up 2 tables. Good service by the waitresses too.Came with the recommendation of their Chicken Fried Steak and it was GOOD! Split it with my hubby as it was a generous portion with 2 sides.Took home a piece of piece of their chocolate cake and that too was also delicious.Will be coming back!

Our service was pretty simple, easy and smooth. We had our cups refilled and got everything we needed. The food was really good! BUT.. My boyfriend said the country fried steak tasted odd, I tried it and made a face. I asked if that's how it was suppose to taste and he had no answer for me. We can't complain since we ate all the food, but we're pretty sure the steak was old. We can definitely move past that and will be back. We just definitely do not recommend the country fried steak. The environment was nice, everyone minds their own!I will also say.. It's true what others are saying, the prices are HIGH! We paid about 50 dollars for both our meals.. Overall, just try it.

I've eaten here since I moved in Texas in 2008. I can tell you know this isn't the same place. The portions are a joke compared to the prices which have doubled in some cases. The food doesn't taste anything like it used to. I'm guessing it's new owners and using inflation as an excuse. Don't be fooled if you've eaten here before. It's not the same place, just using the name

This place is ruining itself by greed. They have inflated their prices so much it's ridiculous! My co workers and i stopped eating here because they got so high it just wasn't worth it. They really charge $10 for a breakfast taco not burrito, a taco and it's as big as a regular soft taco from Taco Bell. I saw a sign out that said check out their new lower prices and I went in to grab something to eat and they are still ridiculously high I don't think they lowered anything unless they had another price hike since I last visited and they lowered it back down to the ridiculous price that stopped me from patronizing them in the first place. You will come out better going to a steakhouse‍

Dropped in today for brunch. Food was really good place was way bigger than I though. Everyone was nice but seemed to be busy somewhere else so when you needed someone you had to wait for a while.

First off I am in a church group that meets there once a week for breakfast. We have a regular table in the back room where other groups meet.Unfortunately the food has gotten too costly and my group had to go somewhere else.I hated to do this because Mona, our server is a lovely person. Rico, another good hearted man kept up with our coffee refills.I hate having to say goodbye to them.

Haven't been here in a while and I will NOT be back. The prices are so high I would have felt better if they would've brandished a pew pew. I've had breakfast in Hollywood that cost less.

Went for breakfast, wasn't even busy but hardly saw waitress. Had to ask who our waitress was just to order.. after she took order and brought food, we never saw her again. Food came out cold.... Never going back

Delicious home cooked food! An incredible wait staff. Great prices. Deserts that are to die for. Going here is like eating at home with family. People are all friendly, diners and staff. All seem happy to be there. My favorite place to eat. Carmel cream pie is out of this world!

Dixie House is NOT what it used to be! Prices have definitely gone up. Seems like double what they use to be but you wouldn't know it because prices are not posted on their website! 13$ for a stack of pancakes and 9$ for a side (4 pieces) of bacon is not worth it! Pancakes were overcooked as well. Disappointed that my family and I use to go all the time but will no longer be returning.
