Dino's Steak & Claw House

Whenever you are looking for a good steak in the area ..SKIP the chains and come to Dinos!! Local owned mom and pop and I can guarantee you wont get a better steak!! On top of great food and service its nestled right in downtown Main Street Grapevine in a beautiful old restored building! We come here for our anniversary yearly!! We also make sure we bring out of town guests to enjoy it too. I always get the 8oz and the sauteed mushrooms. you cannot believe how TENDER this steak is!! It literally melts in your mouth. It comes with veggies and the best garlic mashed potatoes ever!! We can never eat anything else!! This time the lovely waiter gave us a piece of cake for the anniversary celebration so we HAD to make sure and fit that in!! Add it to the LOVE List!!!

Wow, our experience here was beyond disappointing. We came here a couple of years ago and had a poor experience with not great food. Willing to give it a second try, we had made reservations to spend a nice evening out for Christmas. We showed up 5 minutes early for our reservation, all to wait over 25 minutes to be sat. In the meantime, we watched numerous parties of the same size walk in and be sat almost immediately. When I went to check in with the hostess to follow up after waiting 20 minutes, she was very rude and could not even apologize for the wait and said we were next (despite sitting numerous parties that came in after us). We had specifically requested a table upstairs, as it can get quite loud with the piano downstairs. As we continued to patiently wait, after she said we were next, they went and sat another couple who had just walked in upstairs. Then, the same hostess finally came to seat us downstairs by the noise. I then expressed my disappointment to the hostess, who was beyond rude and could still not apologize for our experience who just said "well we are really backed up". We continued to sit at the table for over 10 minutes without even seeing a server. Needless to say, we decided to leave without dining. This experience was beyond disappointing. Not only will we never return, we have also told all of our close friends and family members that live near the area of this experience, who will also never return or provide them the business. As an update...I was just notified by open table that they marked me as a "no show". Beyond unacceptable!!

Let me start by saying that the service at this restaurant was top-notch! Our server went above and beyond my expectations for this dining experience. We came in to celebrate my parents' 50th anniversary and had reserved a table for six. Everything was set up when we arrived, and it was a pleasant surprise to see the decorations beautifully arranged for the holidays.Now, onto the food. I ordered the rack of lamb prepared medium rare, but it came out rare. The vegetables were bland and less than desirable. My wife ordered the white fish, which was fantastic. My mother had the seafood soup, and it was just okay in terms of flavor. My son ordered a ribeye steak, and unfortunately, it was overcooked and lacked flavor. My daughter had the chicken, but she barely touched it.Given the price of our bill, I expected the food to be much better. We visited on a Thursday night, so it wasn't overly busy. The live music and piano player added a lovely ambiance to the evening. I truly wanted to give a higher rating, but the food did not meet the expectations for the amount we paid.

You know the place is good when everyone is raving about the sides and saying you have to try this. The mashed potatoes are perfectly whipped and full of air, the au gratin potatoes are spectacularly layered with flavor. The Mac and cheese was also full of flavors. But let me tell you the flavor on the tomahawk and the rack of lamb. We all walked out fully and completely satisfied

Food was okay. Crab claws were yummy. My veal was over cooked, not much flavor. The veggies were good. Creamed corn was very rich, a little too rich. Spinach was just spinach not much seasoning. The Texas beef tomato was good, very flavorful. Cheesecake would I visit again ehhh idk...

Trying to get to this place took over 45 mins when it was suppose to be 5 mins. It has been one of the Hallmark Christmas places I've seen and apparently the entire city and travelers come out to see it. This night, there was a drone light show and the streets were filled, roads were blocked-- complete nightmare. I almost gave up, but there were people waiting for me at the restaurant and I finally arrived to the dedicated parking lot reserved for Dino's. When I get there, I head upstairs, very rustic and old steak house vibes. Wine was already served, so I get a glass poured. We chat, appetizers come out, and salads. Everything was very delicious. The main course, the steak was like butter. I ordered an old fashioned. Single ice cube, perfectly crafted. We had chocolate cake for dessert. Decadent, not too sweet. If I had this for my last meal, I'd be happy.

One of our go to places for special occasions the past 10+ years. Great atmosphere, the service is outstanding and the steaks are delicious.

I love the lobster bisque here! Service was fine. Steak was ok. Scallops were kind of mushy. I'll probably return just for the lobster bisque.

Wow... second time eating here and I can't be happier. 29th anniversary dinner for my wife and I so we wanted a special dinner. Dino's doesn't disappoint. The food is wonderful. Seabass, filet, lobster bisque and crab claws were all on point. And the tiramisu for dessert (on the house). Yum. Great staff and great atmosphere. Don't pass this place by.

We've been to Dino's 6 times in the last few months and every visit has been great. Dino's Chilean Sea Bass is my favorite out of all the steak and seafood restaurants we go to. The crab and avacado topping is perfection. The bartenders are very friendly and great at creating amazing cocktails. The Buttered Beer is excellent (doesn't taste like beer) and an award-winner. Dino's never disappoints!
