What a great local place! You come in, stand in line, and place your order. The hickory burger is the top seller, but I went straight down the middle: bacon cheeseburger.The burger came out surprisingly fast, but it was hot and delicious, and cooked well. At the end of the line, the fries were fresh from the grease, and all you can eat! Pro Tip: Grab a small handful while they are hot, and then come back when the next person orders, to get MORE Hot and Fresh!They also have 2 big pots of beans, all you can eat! The beans are one batch, two pots, so you don't have to worry about which is which.We also had a killer chicken fried steak! It's one of the best chicken fried steak in town, and they also have a CFS sandwich (for you ol' school kids). Do not miss the homemade ice cream by the door either!5 Stars for Shop Local, and nailing it!

This is not the the DCIB place it clams to be any longer. Serving someone a hamburger on a bunn that had been in the freezer, is a bad idea.Buns that have been put into a freezer will crumble. Dinning room wasn't so bad.Bring back the real: Denton County Independent Hamburger please!

They are in a new location!Really nice custom wood seating, Same good food. Large servings. My photos don't do them justice. We brought it home. Great burgers and chili cheese fries!Friendly employees.

the food is always great when we go here. i usually get the chicken fried chicken sandwich and my boyfriend gets a burger. we will usually get the fries which are unlimited and always fresh since they constantly making new batches. we also ask for a side of shredded cheese and you can tell it's freshly grated instead of pre grated. it tastes awesome on the fries! you can definitely see that the employees care about the service they give even when we accidentally came the last hour i definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a local spot to get great food and ever better service

One thing I am glad is that they moved to a building that has ample parking spaces. Burgers are fresh and with their open kitchen you can see them cook the burgers. Fries are fresh (like another reviewer stated) and get as much as you can. Depending on the time of day service is really fast from order to check out with your food. Smoke from the grill will sometimes move into the dining area. I know this is probably because they're cooking a lot of burgers at one time. At least when I was walking out I didn't smell like the smoke or the burgers they were cooking like I do when we grill/smoke at home.

We walked in and were warmly greeted by the owners and her family. The vibes were different. It's a Country Texas theme. The Lady that took our order suggested we try her beans. She said they were really good and she 100% told the truth. The beans had some flavor like someone Grandmother cooked it. It's all you can eat beans and fries and a lot of condiments to choose from. The fountain drinks were good and strong. The burger's were juicy and full of flavor. I haven't had a burger that good in a long time. We will definitely be back. I didn't get a good picture of my food.

Best burger in Denton area, bar none. It's in a league all its own; add a drink and the best fries money can buy and you get a veritable masterpiece from one of the original entrepreneurs, Mike Barnett, a Trinity Presbyterian Church member, and civic leader. For those people who are not familiar, Mike Barnett is the son of a positive lady who played the organ in church, Anne Barnett.His perseverance and grace from a successful business community and who helped build a strong local economy from the dregs of the COVID-19 lockdown and the brutal aftermath, which is replete with endless supply chain failures and longshoreman's strikes, and so on.Let us be positive thinking pro-Denton, Texas, where all are welcomed; Keep up the brand and only positive things will happen.Cheers,Mark F.God bless you guys and enjoy yourselves this weekend.

The beans and French fries are the star of the show! Good burgers and the service is always friendly.

The beans are delicious and the absolute star of this establishment. But, is that what a burger place should be known for? The fries were cold and flavorless. The burger patty was overcooked to the point of burnt. I'll pass on a return trip.

I have been searching for a great hamburger, for a while. Yesterday I had to take the granddaughter to softball and finally she tells me she wanted a burger. So researching the web I found the DCIH. Well the reviews say it's inexpensive (not cheaply made), ok check 1. The people are super friendly (not butt munches, or jerks) check 2. The ambience is pretty decent (not a dump) check 3. So we went, we'll miss picky (my 13 yo granddaughter) wolfed down her burger and fries before I could get a picture and than asked me to get her another one (I said no). But the reviews were spot on! The food is awesome, the people that work there are family nice, the ambience is pretty nice. So go there and watch them pour a bunch of cheese on your burger, scoop your own fries and help yourself to a cup of beans (which I rarely eat but put them away).
