I will say, the team was very friendly.Coming down to the food, Davis is very average. There's nothing that will blow you away, but nothing was terrible. I love coleslaw and that was probably the best thing we had on our plates. All that being said, a self-serve ice cream machine is always a welcomed site.

Slice Brisket was some of the best I've ever had, 1st time here.Friendly staff cafeteria style but everyone behind serving and checking out were very kind.Old rustic feel, lots of pictures on the wall.

Really good BBQ and service. I wish they would add more sides. I think Hurtardo's has them beat when it comes to sides. The service and the food are both excellent at David's and Hurtardo's. I have never been disappointed with service and food at David's.

Every time I'm in town and want bar b Que; it's David's. Unbelievably consistent with their brisket, ribs and sauce. Yah gotta go to this place, but come hungry!!! Only thing other tan Eaton is the ice cold Shiner (beer) on tap. Loveeeee this joint, and so will u. Lots of parking, clean rest rooms, not open Sunday & Monday.

I have eaten not only at David's bbq but his relatives in Dallas for 40 years.David's is the best. I have seen Jimmy, David's son, look at a piece of meat and throw it away. He only serves his personal best. Enough said Great food !

It's been 4 years since I've been to David's! I used to live right around the corner. I would go almost every Tuesday! The are very friendly here especially the Owner! Great atmosphere and great conversations !! This place has been in Pantego for many years and it's a staple for folks that live near by ! I wish I still lived in the area but I'll definitely be back for another visit ! The brisket and sausage was delicious and don't forget to ask if any burnt ends are available!!

Went here for lunch on a Friday. Walked in the restaurant and was greeted by very friendly staff. Since it was my first time there, they explained to me how the line works and the ordering process. I order a chopped beef sandwich with two side of slaw and potato salad. Surprisingly the sides were self serve as you moved down the line cafeteria style. My sandwich was ready to be put on my plate towards the end of the serving line. Everything was fresh with large portions and a very reasonable price. The self-serve condiments table was a plus too.Now for the taste, I was not impressed with the BBQ at all. I couldn't taste any smoke or flavor. The sides were flavorful and seasoned. On your way out the restaurant they have an ice cream machine where you can get a complimentary cone. Overall, I love the friendly and helpful staff and the sides, but I'm going to pass on the meat.

Meats weren't the most amazing I've ever had, but the sides were great. The value is very good for the amount of food you get. The people were also very friendly. No wait, plenty of seating.

Fantastic consistent BBQ - I had combo brisket and ribs with two sides - plenty - love the little ice cream cone- friendly service- clean old fashioned decor - you get your money worth
