Culpepper Cattle

What an amazing place to both work and enjoy a nice lunch! Culpepper Cattle is located inside the Continental Gin building. My boss and I decided to stop in for lunch while working inside the bottom floor of the gin building. The ambiance, service, and food were perfect for a quick lunch break. We both enjoyed crunchy tacos with beef and they truly hit the spot! Classic Tex-Mex! We also got to enjoy their delicious ceviche as an appetizer! It was so refreshing and the perfect size to ease our tummies! We will definitely be back!

Apparently I've been driving past a hidden gem for years and just recently found this spot. This restaurant offers $10 chicken or steak fajita plates on Fridays and I'm always down to try a deal so I made my way here. When I walked in during lunch there was a nice little crowd but it wasn't crowded. There was also live music being played and sung by the front door (from what i was able to gather its rotating musicians). As I was by myself, I was seated in the bar area which was a little noisy from the music but it wasn't so loud I couldn't hear myself thinking. The bartender came over, asked about drinks and appetizer and I told her I was there for the fajitas and would start with a water while I would look over the menu just to see what the offered. My food came out pretty quickly and in that time I decided to order a fully dressed beer to wash down this meal with. Now, when my food came, I was a little tickled . . . The portion size was on the small side - yes, I understand, $10, lunch special, blah blah blah . . . However can I get more than a smear of beans and a half a spoon of rice? This is all that I ask for as everything else was on point. The fajita meat was cooked well, had good flavor and was tender. They gave me two tortillas, and all the sides (guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, cheese, pico) to make a great taco . . . I just needed a smidge more bean & rice. However I left satisfied and I would come back, so that's a good sign. Drop by and check them out!

Great ambience, service and food. Came here early on Friday and they were able to accommodate us, had a really good server, live music and they steaks were really good as well.Tried a week later Friday lunch (fajitas), and once again good service and food and there was even live music again at lunch.

If you're ever in Dallas, this is a MUST! The service my group received was superb!! The food was incredible. We ordered a wide variety of items including the Caesar salad, fajitas, queso and chips! We tried several of their margaritas and I couldn't figure out which was my favorite. Excellent experience and great food!

Came here with my cousins and sister for dinner. Upon arrival the restaurant was busy. I was the first to get there so the waiter brought some waters. Once the rest of the party arrived, it took the waiter a long time before she came to check on the table again. When the waiter came to the table, she said something along the lines of "I don't know if you can see, but the restaurant is very busy" we were kind of taken aback by her statement. The manager came to speak to us and we got a new waiter her name was Nikki. She was great!! She advised on great things to order, got our drinks ordered. I will say we did enjoy all of our food. It did take a long time for it to get to us BUT it was kind of cold. The spinach dip was room temperature even though the person who brought it told us that the plate was hot (I never understood that logic.) My cousin had to re-order her crispy onion strings because it was cold. I was very hungry at this point and I did see that the restaurant was busy so I just ate my food.I also want to note that the manager gave my sister and I "extra" sides for our enchiladas. It originally comes with rice and beans (pictured) but he included the mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, and grilled squash. Which I appreciate and thanked him for that. The ambiance was good. I loved the live country music. It wasn't too loud as we could still have a conversation

New adorable spot with great happy hour and live music Thursday-Saturday. Queso was great and they have a great little margarita too. I really enjoyed the ambiance here. They have a very large space inside for parties along with a great outdoor patio with a view of downtown. I haven't tried enough on the menu to pick my favorites but I do recommend coming during Happy Hour!

I came here for my birthday. It was a Monday night. Came right in and was seated not many inside the restaurant. I forgot what I ordered but it was a mixture of tac, enchiladas and flautas. Along with rice and beans. Honestly the flautas were the best.My boyfriend got the pork chop and he said that was good but he said he truly enjoyed the baked potatoe with all the fixings.

Free parking in the lot for culpepper patrons -- $10 fajita Friday in store! It was a little chaotic and we kept getting buttermilk instead of half and half for our coffee (the first sip was a surprise I must say)... food was amazing but the server was clearly new and had little clue as to the menu. We went back for $10 fajitas and found out about the caveat that it was dine in only.

Friendly hostess and were able to get us a nice seat. As a first time visit we always want to get food recommendations from our waiter Garrett O, he made several suggestions and his service was excellent. We had a perfect cooked filet and great cocktails. We will be back soon. Thanks a fun and enjoyable evening.
