Crave Hot Dogs & BBQ

This is a great place for some beers, ax throwing, and comfort food. The decor is rustic-imdustrial with a Southern aesthetic with an overall ambiance of a laid back place to come together and have a good time.The self-serve wall with beer and alcohol taps (limited selection of mixed drinks) is awesome as you get to pour yourself drinks and are charged by the ounce. Want a half a beer? Not a problem, just pour half.The food is fresh and you're provided with generous portions. Things we've tried and liked: chicken nachos, taco trio, and various hot dogs/brats. Lastly, the owners are friendly and nice people and worth getting to know. Definitely a small business you should visit.

While the customer service was great the food lacked majorly in quality and taste. My total was $64 plus an $8 tip and we ordered to go. Because of the reviews I read, I wanted to try different staple items from the menu, or so I thought. We purchased the 12 wings half and half on the flavors (buffalo & plain). 2 orders of tater tots. The slider trifecta, the pulled chicken nachos, 2 single chili dogs and a side of Mac and cheese. The chili dogs were the best thing. Loved the all beef link. The chili was rich in taste.The wings I was told were cooked in an air fryer. They lacked that internal flavor and crispiness. I believe switching to a standard deep fryer like most establishments use will improve the quality & taste. Also changing the provider of the buffalo flavor, as there was no spice or kick. The tater tots were horrible. Seems they were baked & they had no seasoning. I believe these also need to be cooked in a deep fryer. They were mushy and you could taste the frost bite.The sliders also lacked in taste. The meat was dry and had no flavor or familiar taste.The pulled chicken nachos tasted like ones from a football games concession stand. The toppings over powered any flavor they would've had. The chips were soggy.My children enjoyed the macaroni. However, the size of it was too small. I think providing 2 size options would be nice.Overall, we will likely not return unless the quality of the food improves significantly. Again, the customer service was great. The DJ is nice for customer who dine as well the board games and axe throwing.

I loved Crave when they were in Oklahoma and seriously miss them.No, I did not travel all the way to Mansfield, TX just to eat here, that was a delightfully happy coincidence.I traveled to Mansfield to visit family and friends, and to take them out for a birthday dinner. They chose Crave, which thrilled me because I LIKE Crave.We were greeted when we walked in, the greeter was enthusiastic and friendly and helpful. The head manager was there, and she was so charming and sweet and dedicated.At the now closed (sob) Yukon location, they had a beans and chili and cornbread bowl that I have been craving since Yukon's location closed, but it wasn't on the menu here. I mentioned it as a favorite, and they offered to recreate it for me.And they did. It wasn't quite the same, but it was delicious. I hope they are able to add something like it to the menu, because Texans like their chili and cornbread and I think it will be a popular winter offering. That wonderful bit aside, they make wonderful hot dogs and brisket bowls.The ambiance was quiet enough to hold a good conversation - and the decor and build helped to reduce the noise levels. I have no clue why restaurants go with that awful industrial noise creating decor. They did say it got noisy after 6, when they had bingo and people came for axe throwing and there was a band that came in and brought customers, so I hope this Crave succeeds.They've got the important parts - great food well prepared, cheerful, friendly, helpful staff, a nice ambiance.May many more people find them and love them. We need more places like this and I'm glad I traveled all the way here to find them and eat at Crave.I just hope they open another one closer to where I live. I ate there at least once every 2 weeks (it was covid out when Crave was in Yukon, that was all I could afford then).If you live where there's a Crave, go. And if you live in or near Mansfield, visit this particular Crave- the people are awesome, the food's good, you'll have fin and feel welcome.

Located at the corner of the building with a nice patio at front left. Plenty of parking available as well as seating inside which is all tables and chairs. Axe throwing is to the left when you enter.You order at the front counter and are given a number to put on your table. My friend ordered the Brat with fresh jalapeños and beer cheese; he enjoyed trying it with all the different sauces. I ordered the Classic Brat with sauerkraut and the mustard. The brat itself was tender and tasty. I was disappointed that although there were 5 different kinds of sauce, there was only one mustard choice. The self serve beer wall wasn't working but we were treated to a free one.

The dogs were just ok, the atmosphere about the same. The service was good. But the DJ is why we stayed. He made the experience so fun.we may go back to try the BBQ. If you're a drinker they have a beer wall.

This is a pretty dope spot. I came in on at 8:20ish on a Tuesday. First thing I noticed when I walked in was that it was clean and it was really warm. It's a pretty nice spot and a lot more spacious than it looks. Crave has tvs that has different channels on. Pretty solid for game day for sure. They have a a solid assortment of draft beers. Couldn't find the alcohol list, but they had it showing your choice on the drafts.Service was great, and the people were cool. Overhead the manager's? Hospitality with a customer, so shout out to him. He was very personable.We got the chili cheese dog, Chicago dog, and brisket bowl. Pretty solid hot dogs. I never had a Chicago dog before but it was really good. Chili dog was alright. Brisket bowl has some really good flavors to itI think the only cons I can pick about is the credit surcharge and kinda wish the hot dog buns were grilled, but other than that, pretty nice joint!

Hot dogs delicious. Great atmosphere. Staff were great. Come in and try it. We will do axe throwing next visit.

Excellent service, and tasty hot dogs and tots. The hot dogs had that nice pop when you bite into it and reminded us of Nathan's brand but fatter. We left with full bellies despite having left some fries and tots on our plates. I look forward to returning to give the ax throwing and the serve yourself drink tap a try.

My daughter and I ventured into Crave because she wanted to have hot dogs on our date and I remembered seeing Crave. As soon as we looked at the menu, we were happily surprised to see such a variety of options - including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free. What had originally been a craving for a hot dog, my daughter's taste buds began to salivate over the wings pictured in the menu. The owner, Dawn, was very friendly as she walked through the menu options addressing all of pour questions about the options and taking our order. While we waited for our food, we had fun playing games that were provided. Love this fun time filler. My daughter had "naked" wings to which she said they were the best!! I had the nacho hot dog with sweet potato tots. YUM!!!My daughter has claimed Crave as her new favorite restaurant!!We will definitely be back!!P.S. if you like beer, there are many on self-serve tap.
