Colter's Texas BBQ

Picked up baby back ribs. Got home opened up the black styrofoam box and the ribs looked just like the box! Black! They had excessive stuff on them from the grill and they also looked burnt! I swear they put the worst stuff in the to go orders because this is not the first time this has happened. I called the manager and he was borderline defiant and told me everything they cooked that day looked fine. He wanted to know how many we ate. Yes we had to eat some of them because it's all we had for dinner but they were dry and chewy. I told him I wanted my money back and he said to bring back the ones we didn't eat. He wants me to fight traffic on 287 from Mansfield and drive at least 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back. I said I would be in the next day but the next day I decided it was $35 wasted and I didn't want to waste more time with this manager who obviously doesn't care about satisfied customers. Instead I chose to write this honest review of my experience. As I said this has happened with to go orders before. We will not go here any longer. Goldee's Barbecue at 4645 Dick Price Rd in Kennedale is the best in the area. They are a tiny little joint with very limited hours but they are superior to Colter's. Do yourself a favor and go there! You won't be disappointed!

I don't know that I can go anywhere else to get GOOD bbq, in a drive through, in under 2 minutes, without a single error in our order. They are very consistent. Always a good choice.

It's as good as I remember it being when I was a kid. Used to go to the NRH location long ago. This was good nostalgia for me.

I ordered the chicken plate with corn and mac n cheese, a side or ribs, and a pecan pie. The chicken could've used more seasoning but was pretty good. The corn lacked flavor, the mac was decent, and the pie wasn't the best but still good. The service I received defitnely topped the food. It's not the best bbq, but budget bbq is nice when you don't want to drop an arm and leg.

Thrilled they were open and I got to have their delicious brisket, w/ mac & cheese and corn. The roll was tasty too. Drive thru was appreciated, I did not want to get out in the cold.

I had the loaded brisket potato to go. It was very good. Can't really comment on service & ambiance since it was to-go order.

We've lived in Arlington for 20 years and had never visited this place. We went there to support local business, it's not bad but not good either, just meh. The chicken could used more seasoning, the ribs were ok and the brisket was dry. Sides were fine, not impressed and not disappointed.

Visited Colters in Arlington for lunch on 8/4/23. I ordered a brisket sandwich to go with no sauce. I found it unusual that I was asked 3 times if I was sure I didn't want sauce, until I tried it. This sandwich had to be the driest brisket I have ever attempted to eat. If you are considering dining at Colters, my advice would br to save your money and buy a bag of beef jerky instead.

Ordered stuffed potato. Pygmy potato. Minimal toppings. $15. Can I get a kiss on the back of the neck?

It's amazing that every time we get something to go it is missing something, part of your order, bread, BBQ sauce ect. We call to talk to let them know and get gaslighted. They try to make it our fault that they messed up or left something off. Went to the website to try to contact corp office. There is no contact info. So, the only recourse is to call the store that cant seam to get your order right. This seem to be a trend with restaurants lately. They just don't care. Do yourself a favor if you are in Arlington. Go to Davids BBQ In central Arlington.
