College Street Pub

Wow. Cool find. I travel between Austin and Dallas a bit and have recently discovered Waxahachie,tx as a stopping point. 2/2 for spots so far. Cool vibe small bar pub with lots of character. English fare in Texas? Can't be that good , right? Yep. So goodBangers and mash, fish n chips , Shepard's pie and the list goes on Friendly staff , full menu and properly poured Guinness. Winner Winner English Dinner I'll be back for more. Thanks for eating with me today. I'll see you next time.

Great grub-- we stayed on the Texas side of the menu with both of us having the burgers, nicely crispy and delicious. Standard fries--and speedy service! This is such a fun location: Lots of quirky memorabilia on the walls and of course, a great selection of beers. Love the downtown area too.

We have been to the College Street pub more times than I can count in the last several years and can't believe I have not left a review. We are so happy to have a place like this in Waxahachie, which is about as close to a real English pub as you can get in Texas. I'm not talking about a fake 'wannabe English pub' I'm talking an authentic English Pub! I have been in many, so I know.They always have a nice selection of beer on draft, and the food is always excellent.Have the cheese fries with jalapeños, a burger and a cold beer and you're good! The shepherds pie is pretty fine too!

Showed up at 6:40 on a Friday and was told they weren't serving food. Drinks only. Pretty ridiculous for a "restaurant" that's supposed to be open until 11pm.

Great rustic spot with good food and drinks. They have indoor and outdoor seating. If you sit outside, just be prepared to eat with the cats.I would have given 5 stars but there were two things that threw me off. My wife ordered the Reuben and was asked if she wanted the side of chips or if she wanted to swap it with something else. She asked what her options were and they told her. BUT... there was no mention of an upcharge. That was a nice little surprise the register. Also there was no mention of an extra charge to use your debit card. Had I known I would have paid cash. I don't like secrets, and it certainly felt that way.

Visited College Street Pub after seeing the great reviews on Yelp. We sat at the bar and had a couple adult beverages which helped us cool down from our walk around town. The burgers we had were great, cooked perfect. The bartender was the best, she was fast and friendly and kept checking on us. Small bar but lots of character. Stop by for some food and a drink, you'll like it.

Peticolas in Waxahachie! Yesssss please! I love this place for a family friendly hangout with good food and drink! Everybody is treated like family! I had a burger that was so juicy.

This was a great stop on our way to Waco from Dallas. Server was so pleasant. We sat outside on a hot day and it felt nice with their fans. The menu is promising and the food delivers. Great place

Great service, fun and good food!. This is a cozy place, a bit crowded! Service was friendly and helpful. Food tasty and some accommodations for gluten free... could expand! Music made it fun and entertaining!

The ambiance is great. The service left something to be desired. They were quite busy, but it also felt like we were an afterthought. I could not get a waitress's attention and no one did the 'how's your food' check. As another review mentioned, they up charge pretty significantly for side substitutions.Overall, it was just ok. We aren't from this part of Texas, but there has to be better options here.
