Catfish House

Best location for whole catfish. I order takeout and it's ready when I get there. I always request extra well done. I prefer crispy over soft catfish. The onion rings are good, also.

This was my FIRST time coming here. We getting my car fixed and seen this gem only .3 miles away so we decided to walk to kill time(it started raining while walking). Once we got there I was soo surprised that they had a large menu. We wanted something light because we had other things to do and didn't want to be soo full, we get sleepy..lolWe ended up ordering the fried green tomatoes(OMG they were my top 3) very flavorful the dipping saiss(was definitely homemade) they were cut perfectly, not too thick or thin in size. The fried fish(mouth watering) the fish was seasoned perfectly the light crush when your teeth hits the fish. Top 3 as well with the fish. The was reasonably priced great. $3.50 for 1 piece of fish(real catfish)This a must pull up restaurant! Will be back to the other things from the Menu.

Great food for very reasonable prices. Friendly staff, clean dining room. The iced tea and ranch were delicious. Everything was great.

The fish was fried well and served hot. Portions were not large but not small either. I had the two pice catfish with fries, and was not hungry after.

I was quite surprised that this place wasn't like a shake on the corner. Walked in and it clean and spacious. The guy was wiping down the table and I smelled a little bit of bleach. Yes! Kill those germs!! I'd give them 3.5 stars because I didn't taste any seasoning on the fish or the fries. It was disappointing. Especially sense the fish was cooked to perfection and everything was PIPPING HOT! Overall, I'd go back if in the neighborhood and craving fish. I'll just get some hot sauce !

Just don't like that you leave feeling hungry....they are really skimping on serving sizes & its not worth the money!

A little pricey for catfish but that is the going rate these days. The fish was very flavorful and the basket was perfect portion size. Not too much was served.

The fish and shrimp were cooked and seasoned well but the sauce they serve in the pump dispenser was bad. I don't understand because the sauce they give you with the meal is great. The problem is they charge you for that sauce. The tarter sauce in the pump is terrible, just a warning. If they didn't charge for the stuff over the counter I'd go there a little more often but Flying Fish is a good substitute if you don't want to pay for sauce out of principle.

The food was very good. reminds me of some old Louisiana cooking. The customer service was very good. Little food came out real nice and hot.

We have gone here many times and everything is usually good but this last trip was a let down.Large dark fatty strip in the catfish
