Very pleasantly surprised. We were hesitant to try this place due to the swing of ratings. We had an early dinner with a six year old. The ambiance was great and we really enjoyed the no cellphone rule. The staff were great with the little one. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. Side note: This is my first yelp post as I felt compelled to share our experience.

We had our Valentine's Dinner at Caterina's. The food was delicious, drinks were wonderful, and our waiter, Maria L. was extremely good. We had not been there for awhile and the food was the best we've had. We sat upstairs for the first time. It was very loud. The reason was another waiter talked so loud. It made the ambiance very uncomfortable and bad. I could not hear my husband talk when that waiter was at a table talking. When we arrive the host did not greet us or as we left there was no thank you. No one was talking to him either time.

O.M.G. I fell in love with this restaurant first time visiting Fort Worth. We tried just about everything on the menu and had zero complaints. Our server was so kind I wish I remembered her name she was awesome. The lunch deal for $39 per person was definitely worth it because everything is really shareable. I would love to go back here.

The food was delicious. The serving size was very generous as well. This was a great place to go for lunch. We randomly choose this place, and we are happy we did. The service was great, and the ambiance was very nice and appealing. We will definitely return.

Was so excited to try this place for my birthday, especially after reading the reviews. Was expecting a fine dining, 5 star experience, and the reality was an empty, short staffed mediocre and overpriced experience. Walked in and no one to greet us. No one sitting at bar on a busy Stockyard weekend. Thought we entered the wrong door so started walking around to find someone. Staff finally arrived and took us to a table. Maybe 4 other tables with people sat at 7p. Should've been our first sign. Complimentary Prosecco was nice. Tableside drink presentation should have been exciting but we ordered normal bar drinks so the process seemed wasteful and unnecessary. Waitress stated her fav drink was the mezcal one. Two of us ordered. Came with a blue cheese/fig leaf wrapped accompaniment- not enjoyable especially if you don't prefer blue cheese- again wasteful and unnecessary and gross. Neither of us enjoyed the drink either. Didn't finish it. Waitress suggested the caprese - it was underwhelming. She suggested the pork chop for our main meal but her series of suggestions so far were bad so we went with the rigatoni, carbonara and b fish. All were good. She brought everclear limoncello as a "complimentary birthday" item to end our meal. None of us enjoyed it. Saying it was everclear cheapened the experience. One of our party is Italian and she was underwhelmed with the entire dining experience as well. No Polaroid was offered or taken. The place seemed understaffed and the staff there seemed as if they didn't enjoy their job or being there. Would not return and was not a special birthday type dining experience. Waste of time and money

Really great experience. Staff were all very kind and attentive. Best food we had all weekend. We ate at the bar and Britany the bartender was absolutely the best. She took care of us while making drinks for everyone.

Very slow service and they refused to take our Polaroid picture at the end of the dinner which is one of their "staples" Food was decent but not worth the price tag

I came here for my fiancé's bday tonight. Overall experience and ambience was really good until the main course (I had the Lobster Alison) and it came out almost completely raw! My server was nice but the management blatantly refused a refund for an almost completely raw dish. I would've considered coming back but after that experience and being charged $70 for an uncooked meal! Absolutely absurd!! Experience wasn't a good end to what was supposed to be a very special occasion with my fiancé turned sour. I even requested a cake for her on my reservation and never received it!

My wife and I are big fans of Lonesome Dove so we thought we'd try Caterina's based on reviews and recommendations. Excellent food, outstanding service by a young and enthusiastic wait staff. Looks great and is perfect for special occasions. Highly recommended.P.S. - We're not snobs, but we're big foodies and have been at top restaurants all over the country, and this one stands out.

Such an amazing restaurant. Everything we ordered was amazing. Phones are put away in a pouch and at times I wish I could take a pic and share how delicious everything looks but it's no biggie. Forget Carbone in Dallas this restaurant is closer and more delicious. Highly recommend. My fav dishes are the meatballs, beef carpaccio piedmontese, the pieces of small breads, cesar, rigatoni veal chop parmigiana and the lobster!
