Captain D's

We were really impressed!! We had a delicious lunch at an affordable price. Best of all was the service we received!! Ms. Debra and the other young lady working were so friendly!! It's nice to see a smiling face! Thank you so much!!

Stopped by for dinner and ordered fish and shrimp and arrived home and the food was awful I believe they served me chicken in place of the fish I stopped back by to let them know that my order was wrong and the manager said that is their fish that people mistake it for chicken not sure what kind of fish they serve that the texture is like chicken and taste like chicken butI do not want it ever again I would like to know where do they purchase their fish from but any rate they will never see me again I will keep on driving right pass it

I agree with the positive comments. The customer service was outstanding. The young woman behind the counter was so positive & did not have a bad attitude like she hated her job. The manager did not assist me, but when I was leaving she thanked me for coming. This type of attention is rare these days. I had the $5.99 fish & fries special. The fish came out fast & I would say that it was cooked to order. I got lots of the yummy crunchy batter things. I was not impressed w/ the sauces, but I'm a malt vinegar person anyway. I was in Minnesota last year where they have lots of local friend fish from Lake Superior. I liked this fish as much or even more than that I got in restaurants there for $15.ish. I live in Houston & don't have a Captain D anywhere near me. I definitely will be back while I'm here. I went Friday. It's Sunday, & I'm thinking that I will go today. Oh, I went to a mom & pop black owned restaurant in Duncanville last week. My fish & shrimp was $25. & way too salty. Captain D's is a deal. When I was young in the 60s & 70s we went to Alfie's Fish & Chips. This visit brought back childhood memories. Keep it up!

This Captain D's is very good. They are all about customer service and making sure that you are completely satisfied. Be sure to ask for Debra and say Hi.Food was hot and and crispy.

Don't think I'd ever been to a Captain D's, I wanted the Giant Spicey fish sandwich combo. I went in and it was really busy , I got my meal with fries and to go. The food was actually ready really fast. It was a really good deal, 8$ for the meal. I got it home and the fish sandwich really was big. I added cheese and it was absolutely amazing, probably the best fast food one I've had before, I liked the fries too. I'll definitely go back.

This is a new restaurant in the area. I came by at a time when there was only a couple cars in the drive through. The one in front of me sat there at least 10 minutes before they got their food and I was tempted to leave. I ordered my food and sat there more than another 10 minutes waiting for my food. When asked what was taking so long, the girl working said something about hush puppies and that it was busy. Looking in the store it was clearly not busy. The service and poor planning is not going to work for a place with a drive through. It was my first visit to a Captain Ds and probably my last.

While some of the items are hit or miss, like the catfish, just tastes like dirty river water or the regular batter dipped fish tends to be dry -- I prefer and highly suggest the cornmeal battered whitefish. It's a whole fillet that's always seasoned perfectly and has a great crunch.

Went thru drive thru to order $40 bucks of food the "family sampler pack" and 4 extra pieces of chicken. Well young girl at drive thru window was extremely rude it was ridiculous then messed our order up. Arrived inside to inform they forgot our shrimp and chicken, (cause they gave us all fish fillets). Need I remind u the "family sampler pack" comes with 10 fish, 12 shrimp, 6 chicken tenders, 8 hush puppies, and 2 sides. Atmosphere was unpleasant I will not be going back, every employee seemed lost confused. Also informed you can not use two forms of payment. The fish was good, shrimp was small, chicken was dry chicken strips.

Excellent, hot, delicious food and very friendly staff. Very clean. I even enjoyed their music! You will love this place as we did!
