Cancun’s Amerimex Restaurant

Overall, decent place for lunch after church. The service was ok, however, I had to ask the server to refill my water. I picked the Monterey Chicken with rice and beans. It was a bit under seasoned and the bell peppers were not cooked. It was crowded so the wait was about 20 minutes but our food came out quickly and hot. I personally think they should remove the American side of the menu and focus on mastering the Tex-mex entrees. The price was decent for the portion size. Definitely gave a rustic, Tex mex decor and the noise level wasn't terrible.

Have seen this place around for 2 years but never stopped in and finally decided too. Was great service and was sat immediately and greeted as we sat down. I had the jalapeño margarita which was very nice, beware of that fiet sip though if you don't mix it lol. The Cancun quesadillas had some great flavor as well. Definitely recommend trying those

The food and service at Cancun's is always great! I highly recommend eating here. This is also one of the few places in the area that serve breakfast & it is also very good.

I really want restaurants to make lt but after the pandemic I have to read the reviews all the time in which I did only to reinforce the bad reviews I read SMH..no1 you advertise catfish but gave me swai fish without warning very salty no2 20% gratuity was charged maybe because of party of 15 waitress was during her best no3 drink ok frozen margarita I tried the fish because of the reviews so can't tell you about tex Mex food not sure if i will try again beautiful reastrant was hoping this one got it Right

Thought we would give the new location and beautiful new building a try. Have not had good experiences many times at the old location. First: You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig. This restaurant may have been good a long time ago. Maybe the reason the majority of clientele are aged. But for the past several year it has been horrific. My wife ordered the tamale and enchilada w/ taco. The taco was soggy and bland. She gave it to me and I totally agreed. No flavor at all. The tamale was mushy. Non-identifiable. Seriously bad. The enchilada was just ok. She did like the rice. Beans were bland and look at the picture, the edge of the beans have something seriously funky going on. I ordered the mushroom burger. Waitress asked if I wanted fries. Of course. After she left I thought about the fries. I guess I get charged extra for fries with my burger. Best way I can describe my burger is disgusting. A burger is too easy to do. Especially with sautéed mushrooms. Listen, these were not sautéed mushrooms. They were from a can or jar full of water. Again, disgusting. The establishment was filthy. This building is new. There is no pride in the place and it shows. Our table was filthy when we were seated. 1 Star only because I can't give zero stars. We will not be back.

Enjoy Authentic Mexican cuisine from someone who had it described to them over the phone once!Was not impressed. The taco salad was an over-cooked flour tortilla bowl, with a bed of shredded lettuce inside, a mound of unseasoned ground beef in the middle, four slabs of tomato slices around the sides and shredded cheese that had been on top of the beef for 15-20 minutes before someone in the kitchen decided that, 'Hey, maybe we should take this out to the customer at some point...' Worst taco salad I've had in over 30 years. Even the picante sauce didn't help. At least Bennigan's taco salad was flavorful (even if it did have a 1/2" pool of water in the bottom of the bowl because they didn't bother draining the beans before dumping them into it).The picante sauce was a let down, too. Imagine taking ordinary spaghetti sauce, pouring it into a bowl and then adding a few bits of onion and cilantro to it. But why only imagine it when you can live the dream, right Cancun?!

2 stars for effort, but I have to agree, the food is just bad. I did see a couple of tables that got fried catfish that looked really good, so I'd say order that catfish. Evidently this is a catfish restaurant. The nachos are awful...seriously, how do you mess up nachos?

Never been but this once and will never be back. Had THE WORKS omelet. It was atrocious. It was little bits and pieces of hard ham, bacon, sausage and old mushy veggies with a 3/8ths inch piece of hard rubbery egg laid on top with some cheese sprinkled on. REALLY? Since I was being treated to the breakfast I did not make a fuss. You can call it an omelet but for close to 15 bucks it better be what a omelet is. The ingredients are to be FOLDED in. Not just hard fried egg laid on top,

This is a great restaurant. Super friendly staff, huge portions. Delicious food.Breakfast is a belt buster and the biscuits are wonderful.
