"We came to visit Dallas a few months ago and saw Dos Tacos. My husband kept mentioning we should try it. Let me start by saying don't be fooled or even a little nervous to try it out because it's attached to a car wash/gas station. It is very clean and I love the outside patio if you decide to eat your food there. We both ordered taco platters I did the classic and he got the loaded. My tacos were al pastor and it was okay there was something missing. My husband enjoyed his taco but didn't wow over them lol Here's why I'm giving them a 4 is because we also ordered quesadillas and they were delicious. I got the spicy chicken and my husband ordered the steak. The quesadillas were a good size and had a lot of the chicken & steak throughout every bite. I love quesadillas but sometimes feel like the protein is lacking not the case here. If you're in the area give them a try"
"I was in town and meeting up with the cousins who frequent Sueno. I was pleasantly surprised by the setting and immediate service. Each server was so happy to be of assistance and made excellent suggestions. I had the shrimp tacos and also tried a birria taco. Both were really great and full of flavor. The highlights were the chips and salsa and churros. I've never had such delicious churros. Don't miss them. They also do a smoking Old Fashion that is impressive. If you're with an Old Fashion lover, get it just for the show! Also Christian came by at the end and was awesome!"

"The food at Pura Vida is amazing. Never had anything bad there. Service is good and the waitresses are great! We go there at least once a week."
"It's really hard to say anything bad about this place. The service is always consistent, and the food is great. At least for me, there's constant touch points to make sure you have everything you need. The pricing is really pretty good. Everything seems to be fairly freshly made in the establishment."
"The food was great I enjoyed it! I'm not sure why the low rating, everything I had was flavorful."
"This place is slaying in the reviews, and I see no reason to dissent. The core of what they do is great in so many ways: tamales are pure Americana, a cuisine that goes back for thousands of years in the region. They are well suited to the modern world, and people with special dietary needs will find vegan tamales and no gluten. And it's fast, convenient food; mine were heated up in minutes.Ordering a platter with four tamales, I got two of the vegan ones with black beans and two bean and cheese. I could hardly tell the difference between the two, but they were certainly delicious, especially with salsa. More beans and rice on the side made for a filling meal, and at around $10, it's as good of a deal as you're likely to get.The one caveat is that they are not open particularly late, and from what I heard, online ordering closes an hour before close of business. So plan ahead, and head on over."
"We were hungry but not in the mood to go out. Checked my trusty Uber eats and we decided to give this place a try after passing by multiple times in the last year (it's very close to home). Food was fresh and amazing. We shared a beef quesadilla, the flautas with queso and a chicken/beef fajita. Plenty of leftovers and the beans were silky and yummy. Guacamole and tortillas are always important to me and Fajita Pete's did not disappoint. Don't be turned off by the strip mail ambience, we would definitely order again! Prices are a tad high as others have mentioned, but the food and convenience and speed of delivery made it all worth it."
"I came here for lunch one afternoon. It was within walking distance from where I was. It has that small place feel to it, and the staff are friendly. I also liked the food. It's mostly Tex-Mex. I had either the cheese enchiladas or a cheese chile relleno, which was nice to know that they had some vegetarian-friendly items on their menu. The weird thing about this place is the restroom situation. There are 2 toilets, but no "stalls". To make matters worse, there is also a sign asking people not to flush the toilet paper, but to put it in the trash cans. At least there are extra trash cans specifically for used toilet paper, & they have lids on them. I flushed it anyways, since this is Texas and not some third-world country! Your plumbing just needs updating!I would still go back there to try other dishes. I just may not go as often as Papa's, since that's more convenient of a walk."
"I tried, I tried and I can't give a good review. I've been here a half a dozen times and the burritos are all the same...luke warm, slightly cooked, and half melted cheese. I've been through the drive-through each time. The people at the drive-through are super nice and welcoming. However, when I leave with their burritos, they're always the same: luke warm (like really luke warm), slightly cooked, and barely melted cheese (like you can see the cheese unmelted). Also, the salsa *3 times* had a hair in it, and the green had a stench I couldn't use *twice*. I hate giving this review, but I really wish they'd fix this. Great location, great concept, and EASY food to make! Their green salsa is decent, but last time I had it, I had a hair in it. I know we all make mistakes, as do restaurants, but c'mon, my experience has been pretty bad. I also asked for either a cold soda, or water...all have been luke warm. I'm sad. I wanted to visit this place weekly, or even more, to my journey to Lowe's but I just can't take the luke warm, almost cold, breakfast burritos anymore. Montes, if you fix this, I will be the first to provide you at least a dozen more visits each month! Pretty please?"
"Frescos has a great happy hour menu from 3-6pm. The portions are plenty for me and at a great price. Maylea was our waitress and she did a great job! Very friendly and attentive to our needs (and very patient as we took forever to decide what we wanted)."
"I can't believe i haven't eatin here sooner, i mean, i have been doing business with them for a while but never ate here til now. And OMG how could i have not eatin here before? Well it's Taco Tuesday and National Taco Day so i figured why not and thank God i did. I sat at the bar and before i could even look at the menu, they dropped chips an salsa down. They give you these even if your just there for a drink. OK, being Taco Tuesday i was lookin to get me some and boy did i. I ordered the Birria Tacos and a shot of Aguasol Tequila. Both of these were great choices. The spices were high and the tastes were great on everything on the plate. The tequila was really good and smooth. I enjoyed every sip.I really enjoyed the employees dedication and friendliness that i delt with. Really impressed and i'll be back to try some of my other favorites soon."
"Holy moly. I'm not Mexican but I'm gonna say this is the best Mexican I've had. Super fresh. Can't lose with any item on the menu. So far, I've loved seafood tacos, all the soups, taco salad, seafood appetizer dip... Plan to try lots more. Love the enclosed patio. Ask for Kiko!!!"

Food is good service is great as well. But one thing I can say is that it is expensive for the portions you get.

Dropped by this delicious little gem on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30. I was greeted immediately and just about had the run of the place. Lunch specials are available on Saturday. Yay! I ordered my usual of cheese enchiladas topping one with chili con carne and the other with queso. Both were delicious as were the chips and salsa. Corn and flour tortillas also passed the taste test. The house marg also gets a thumbs up.One warning when parking - if you park right up next to the entry watch the ledge as it could damage a vehicle. There are plenty of other parking places though.

This is our second time here and the good quality of food has not changed. They served chips and salsa and we also ordered the guacamole. The guacamole was made fresh in front of us. I ordered the Carne Asada and the steak skirt was cooked to perfection. I ordered it medium rare and it was seasoned well. My husband ordered the chicken and beef fajitas and he loved it as well.Fernando was our server and his service was great--very attentive and responsive. We loved the ambience, quiet and cozy. We'll definitely come back here.

My wife, my daughter, and myself walked into an empty restaurant. I thought to myself 'this does not bode well'. We were directed to a counter to place our order and we ordered the Tamale Pie with mild pork, the Tommy Bowl with habanero pork and a Chicken Quesadillas. We also got chips with salsa and queso on the side.I have rarely seen my wife react to food in a dramatic way, but after one bite of the Tamale Pie, her eyes got wide, she leaned back in her chair and both arms were raised like Tommy himself had scored a touchdown and she was the ref.Speaking of Tommy, he came out and personally greeted us, which was really nice, he seems like a great guy.The quesadilla and Tommy Bowl were both amazing, and frankly my daughter and I couldn't finish because we just got so full. The queso was some of the best I've ever tased as well. I don't have a great point of reference for this, as I've only had Queso from Chipotle, but Tommy's Queso was hands down significantly superior. They also have a little market with salsa and hot sauces for sale.HIGHLY recommend!

The fajitas are good. For $30, my family of 3 are full and happy. There are some Taco Bell people sliding in here and saying it's expensive. This is fresh, quality food, which might cost a little more than whatever nonsense the fast food chains are slangin. But it's a great deal for fresh food that won't slowly kill you

Stopped in at the Yellow Rose Cafe for breakfast this morning. This is the 1st time I have visited this location. I was impressed with how clean the restaurant was for a small town and an older location. The breakfast food select use impressive (I will visit again to try more) with a combination of country cafe breakfast selects along with Mexican style breakfast selects. I had scrabbled eggs with mexican sausage, beans, rice with tortillas. The food arrived within 7 minute after ordering and the food was hot and fresh. The restaurant was about half full. The server was very polite and checked on us just enough to make sure we were okay. We will return again to try more food items next time I am in the area.

"Best guacamole ever. The food was excellent. The margaritas were very weak. Wonderful service. Great ambiance,"
"First of all, you have to have the food, Fresh , homemade, well staffed , well trained cooks . "Thumbs up to the cooks" Best Brochette Shrimp I've ever had and I won't even order it anywhere else. The Charo beans are better than mine ....man I hate admitting that one. This place is a survivor. I've been eating here since 1995. It's still a great place to eat out. Yes they stay busy but they are definitely skilled at turning tables. For the first time ever (30 yrs) I had to eat outside and I'll have to say ....i enjoyed it. Plus I had a terrific waitress!Better looking than Taylor Swift!!! lol."
"Great place loved the food and people. Super nice and fast service. I've only had breakfast burritos but I would try anything else!"
"We tried Anasofia's for dinner, and we loved the food. The ambiance was also perfect, and the service was good, though it was difficult for us to communicate what we wanted in English and understand the lady serving us as she was talking mainly in Spanish. Regardless, we got exactly what we ordered. We were a group of 6 and ordered vegetarian and non-vegetarian items on the menu; every item was good. They have delicious margaritas as well. Since I am a vegetarian, I will write about what I tried specifically. For starters, we had the chips & salsa. I had Chili Relleno ( vegetarian version with no meat or beef) for the main course, and it was super yummy! We will be back to this place. It is a must-try!"
"FOODCarne a la Tampiquena was alright. It was pretty salty overall and falls a lot more on the heavier side. The beef was tender and flavor was ok.Salsa is also a bit salty but also is good consistency and flavor. The chips are fresh and crispy! VIBESThe place has nice vibes with dim lighting. Seating includes booth and standard chair and table seating. It's quite spacious. Looks like most of the people here are either catching up with friends, eating with family, or going on dates.SERVICE Service was great! No complaints here!"
"Food and service 10/10 And unexpected little gem on S Main! Worth checking out. I stopped in for lunch unexpectedly and had the Mexican dinner #1."
"The food and service at Cancun's is always great! I highly recommend eating here. This is also one of the few places in the area that serve breakfast & it is also very good."
"The food here is good especially the drinks! The waiters are kind, & they always okay good music lol. I really like the shrimp cocktail here!"
"Well done if not typical no frills mom and pop Tex-Mex place. Hand made corn tortillas might set Vicky's apart from others, but quality and quantity are not lacking. The Chile Relleno was on point as were the beef enchiladas and chicken tacos."
"Oh my Oh my!!! I'm in love with this place! Good service, awesome foot ( my compliments to the chefs) our waitress Marianna just fabulous and care about everything on time! Thank you! Lots of food and everything tastes amazing"
"We were visiting TX from FL and had a very early flight home so decided to stay in Dallas the night before. We were having dinner with friends in Richardson and while looking at places to eat the food sounded great. Our friends had never eaten here, so we decided to try it. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. The waiter took drink orders and brought chips immediately. Their salsa and another dip they served were excellent. When looking at reviews I noticed that if you check in, you also received a free queso. The menu has a great selection and the food was exceptional. The presentation and quality were top notch Tex-Mex. The margaritas were fabulous and the only negative was they couldn't make mojitos--which were on the menu. Our waiter couldn't explain why, but the house sangria hit the spot. It's easy access and has plenty of parking. Definitely something to try if you live in the area and haven't or are visiting."
"We are long time customers and have been coming for years. We really enjoyed Jalepeno's (restaurant name before new management) and we love Noel who has worked there for years, BUT the quality of the food has just fallen through the floor. I ordered a steak fajita quesadilla and it came our drenced in grease. I was just shocked, and I added a picture for context. My wife ordered the Chicken fajitas and they came out dry and tasteless. I attempted to eat part of the quesadilla but it made me sick at my stomach and did not even make it home before I had to RUSH to a bathroom (thanks Tom Thumb) I asked to speak to a manager and the waiter said there wasnt anything he could do, didnt offer to make anything else or to take it off the ticket so we will not be going back. As I sit here thinking about it, I am feeling Nauseous. I gave it two stars because the staff there truly is very nice but the food is now just isnt good."
"Oh Yes! This is just one more reason why I love Ft Worth...under the top layer of gentrification, you can still find the real deal.Going going gone is the mantra chanted by those hardy adventurous souls that don't want the latest chef driven breakfast for $30( Ft Worth has those too). But,prefer to occasionally go off grid and find something your mom or significant other wouldn't dream of goin in.It's been awhile since I've found a fully blossomed restaurant like this. Years of dedication by this family, serving up traditional delicious necessities!I loved it and you will too!Go!"
"Was told to come here and we were not disappointed! The ambiance of this cute little place is chill and the service was great. Walked in on a Sunday evening and were immediately greeted and seated. We enjoyed the chips and dips- black bean dip and a red salsa, as well as tried the queso- kids loved the queso! ** a little tip for the red salsa- it was great by itself BUT! Was even better when we added lime!Hubby had Pacifico and I had a skinny margarita, which was tasty and boy did I NOT NEED ANOTHER. Lol the food was delish- we had the chicken flautas, cheese enchiladas, chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce, and tostada with ground beef. All yummy! The rice that came with our meals were the only item on our plates left, as it was a little dry. We will definitely be back for more!"
"7 of us and we didn't have to wait and food was delivered with appropriate temps. Service was great! Food was great!"
"Cannot recommend Angelina's enough! And I really think you should ignore the negative reviews because they are baseless and kept me from experiencing this gem sooner. The food was delicious (highly recommend the top shelf Margarita and Angelina's Fajita nachos) we had simply outstanding service with Julian who was patient with our unruly terriers pictured below and anticipated our needs before we even realized them (bringing separate water dishes for both of our dogs, split our enchilada dinner completely without being asked or without a split charge, etc ). The salsa, pico and guac were so authentic and flavorful and we couldn't believe how affordable the prices were when we got the bill. We will be back and often, perfect detour when doing an evening stroll on the colony shoreline trail!"
"This place is like a hidden gem. If you like tortilla soup you must keep reading! We didn't love it when they first opened, BUT they updated the menu and it is so good!!!They have daily happy hour, margaritas are very good and pretty strong. Many options for food on happy hour that are very tasty. But here's the biggest secret - we've compared the chicken tortilla soup at every local Mexican Tex/mex place, and theirs surpasses ALL the others, some by miles. The broth is so deeply flavored and limey. The chicken is shredded so it comes to you in every bite. And the chunks of avocado are fresh and delicious. I can't emphasize this enough - this is THE BEST tasting tortilla soup you will find anywhere around. It's THAT good! Don't cheat yourself by getting the cup. Go for the bowl. You won't regret it!"
"I visited Gabriela and Sofia's Tex-Mex for the first time, and it was an amazing experience! For our entrees, we ordered the Flauta Dinner and Beef Fajita Quesadillas--both were absolutely delicious! The meal started off with complimentary chips served with the freshest red salsa (with a nice spicy kick) and a flavorful black bean dip. Everything we tried was excellent, and the portions were huge! We ended up taking most of our food home to enjoy later. The ambiance was great. Our server, Pedro, was friendly and super helpful, making the entire dining experience even better. Overall, a great spot for Tex-Mex, and I can't wait to come back."
"They have a parking garage, so that's already a WIN! Great patio with plenty of seating and access from the trail. Good affordable drinks and food and Happy Hour specials. I'd definitely recommend it and will be back!"
"Only been there twice since recent opening, both times for lunch on a Friday (around 1pm). Both times ordered daily special (fried catfish w/2 sides). w/iced tea. Fried catfish is off the hook! 2 large fillets, not greasy, thick cuts, and no "fishy" flavor. Hush puppies: great flavor but small and chewy. Iced tea not over-steeped. Servers are friendly, dining area and restroom are clean. Try this place, you won't be disappointed. A nice alternative to the many surrounding fast food joints."
"My friends and I popped in before heading to a concert. We all loved it. Fabulous food, exceptional service, great prices, comfortable seating, pristine restrooms and offers a quieter dining area away from the bar and general dining. I would have had more photos of the food but everything was so delicious we ate it too fast. The queso is the best I've ever had. The complimentary chips and salsa were insanely good! Not greasy at all. The quesadillas were superb. Margaritas were great. The fried tacos were to die for. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. If you want great quality Tex-Mex, this is the place. Can't wait to go back!!!"
"This was a pretty decent spot for a TexMex meal. With the exception of guacamole, the prices were right. The food and drink were delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The service was also spot on - thank you, Kayla!! Looking forward to going back and trying dessert!"
"Alright so, Booger Red's is "named in honor of the legendary Texas bronc-busting champion Samuel Thomas Privett (1858-1926)." But I still don't know WHY it's called "Booger Red's" specifically.. I guess that was Samuel TP's nickname? But why? Let me go google... Okay I'm back and I sort of regret looking further into this. The story of Booger Red is tragic! What the heck... So Sammy TP was called Red since he was a child because he had red hair. Got that half of his nickname out of the way. He was the greatest "bronco breaker" (poor wild horses) of all time and he's credited with originating the modern day rodeo (ugh not a fan) -- anyway, he advertised himself thusly: "Come and see him ride, the ugliest man dead or alive, Booger Red!" Why was he so ugly, you ask? Because as children of confederate soldiers often did, 12 year old Sammy and his bff were playing with gunpowder on Christmas Day, stuffing a dead tree with it to make fireworks. Sadly the gunpowder exploded early, throwing Sammy 20 feet through the air and killing his poor friend! Sammy lived, but he was gravely injured in the explosion. Legend has it (honestly I've no idea how accurate this story is, so legend has it) that a neighbor kid saw Sammy being carried to the hospital, took one look at his mutilated little face and cried out, "gee, but Red sure is boogered up now!" And apparently "boogered" is an adjective meaning crippled, maimed, or disfigured. Who knew? So poor Sammy was blind in the hospital for six months and while he fully recovered, he was very very disfigured. He basically had no more eyes, nose, or mouth, just little holes.... He was described as looking like "a pumpkin with bullet holes for eyes." So sad! Why did this have to happen?!Anyway, Sammy's family would tease him and call him "Booger Red" after that one rude neighbor kid started it.. I guess the nickname made Sammy laugh, so there you have it. This saloon is named after him! He never stopped breaking broncos and went on to become super famous for it.Booger Red's is right between H3 Ranch and The Stockyards Hotel. It's a long and narrow saloon lined with an enormous bar and giant stools, and some of the stools are saddles. Fun. This saloon is probably the most classic looking and feeling "Wild West saloon" in the stockyards district. It's thoroughly decked out in all things cowboy from the floors to the wall-mounted animals to the paintings of dance hall girls to the vintage pulley fan system lazily circulating air far above your hat hook.Behind the bar is an enormous mounted buffalo butt... lucky for you I'll give you the short story this time: the Hunter brothers (restaurant next door) hunted buffalo and said the only thing that got them through those long hot days of looking at buffalo butts was an ice cold beer. And that's that! Booger Red's is famous for its Buffalo Butt Beer which is crafted in small batches and always served in a bottle, in an ice bucket. You gotta try it at least once. And of course you can order food from H3 Ranch's menu; ribs, steaks, nachos, spit-roasted pig, fried catfish, lots more. It's fun here. It feels like you're on a the set of a western, so just lean into it and spend some time bar-side with your boots up."
