"The food was great and it's a nice clean restaurant with good service. I would recommend getting lunch there if you're watching your wallet. Dinner can be pricey. If not for prices I would have given 5 stars."
"Never a bad experience here. Come give them a try, you won't be disappointed. My fish never makes it home. Lol"

"Great new take on a taco shop! Ambiance is perfect for a date night or a get together with old friends. Service was on top of all of our needs, and gave us invaluable insights into their menu. As they will likely tell you, one, maybe two tacos is all you really need. I recommend the chicken coconut curry, steak and cheese and the beef Wellington (however we didn't quite know how to eat it)."
"We were visiting the area for a conference and were looking to finish off with some jazz, this is the place! We got in right before the end of Happy Hour (8:00) . The Rockin Reverend Rick McCoy was one of the best we have heard in an intimate jazz bar. Bea the Bartender was friendly and mixed a good one! If our travels bring us back to the area we will definitely drop in !"
"Fish is always good always fresh sometimes they run out of fries but that's because they can't keep up with the demand so actually we moved to the area one of the reasons is this restaurant because we were hooked"
"Food is great! 5/5Service is good 4/5It was a great atmosphere, I could tell they hv a lot of "regulars".I'd recommend 5/5..."
"Walking around the whole building, and came back to this one as it seemed the most appealing. I wasn't let down. If you are a fan of catfish, this will probably be some of the best seasoned catfish you've ever ate. Their fries aren't anything special, but fortunately they're not the stars of the show. If you had to pick one place to eat here, get the fried catfish from here."
"This was my first visit to Gao's BBQ & Crab and I can say that it will not be my last. My guest and I ordered alot to try and to our surprise, everything we ate was GREAT! Everything was seasoned well and very tasty. Service was also above and Beyond. Our waiter guided us through the menu once we arrived and he was very attentive to our needs. Here is a rating of everything we ate.Fried Oysters: 4/5Fried Spring Roll: 4.8/5Small Lamb with fat: 4.5/5Special Sausage: 3/5Shrimp fried rice: 3/5Egg Fried Noodles: 4/5Cabbage: 3/5Green Beans: 2.8/5Peppered Beef: 2/5"It was very chewy"Prawn: 1/5Quail: 1/5Spicy Grilled Fish: 4/5Hongkong Lemon tea + Rum: 5/5Grapefruit Green tea + Rum: 5/5"
"Being from Calfornia and frequent trips to Mexico. It took me YEARS to find some good ass Carne Asada, YEARS. This place is definitely number one so far after many, many try's. The service was great. Just a small simple place with amazing food! They also have a super great salsa bar. I got 2 Carne Asada, 1 Cabeza, 1 Asado and 1 carnitas. My only regret is that I did not get all of them Carne Asada. Will be back and I cant wait to take my wife here."
"Been coming here since the 90's and wouldn't go anywhere else The food is always fresh seasoned perfectly and the portions are worth the price!!"
"I was skeptical when I read all the bad reviews, and saw the pictures of food in Styrofoam. Im a food snob gringo by any definition, and hate wasting time and calories on aggressively mediocre food. But I went anyway and am so glad I did. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. I had the garlic mojarra, and I'm dead serious that it is the best fish dish I have had in Texas. It came out assertively crispy, which made me concerned that the fish would be dried to a chewy meh. Every bite was silky succulent to the very last morsel. Mid way through, when it came time to flip it over, I was concerned that the luscious fish would make the underside exterior soggy and gummy. Nope, it absorbed the fishy goodness and kept it's satisfying crunch. I can't explain why my experience is so different than other reviews, but if you have the same experience I did, you'll be looking for how soon you can be back!"
"If I could, the score would actually be a 4.5 but, here we are. Bloom is a charming Mediterranean-inspired brunch spot that has something for everyone from young to old with standout items like Shakshuka and Nutella Crepes. The customer service was excellent right from the start, and I was particularly impressed with our server, Kiara. She went above and beyond to tailor our recommendations to my tastes, ensuring I had the perfect seasonal dish. The overall atmosphere was just as inviting as the food, with an interior that felt like a quaint French Bistro, adding to the overall dining experience. But, my imaginary -.5 comes from the reservation/seating process. Despite having a reservation for two, we ended up waiting for over an hour to be seated. The hostess seemed overwhelmed, struggling with both the online booking system and managing the influx of customers. This disorganization was frustrating and put a dent in what could have been a flawless experience. The other ding is the A/C when I visited in July it was out and I lost at least a pound in sweat; there was no warning/heads up but, hoping it's since been fixed."

I tried the saag paneer, butter chicken, naan, and the vegetable samosas. All of it was delicious and fresh. The restaurant was very clean and had a Texas flair. waitstaff was courteous and we felt as if we were the most important customers. Its location makes it a convenient stop when traveling along I-20. I plan on stopping here again next time I'm in the area.

Fish in the metroplex no question. Of course you have to have patience while waiting, but it's worth it for quality food.

The Dream Taco is my favorite spot in Plano- a true hidden gem with unexpected taco flavors that always hit the spot. I'm obsessed with the birria coconut curry taco, but on a server's recommendation, I tried it with goat instead of chicken, and it was absolutely next-level. I've also had the Baja bacon shrimp and the crispy sushi tacos, both incredible, but the birria remains mind-blowing. The interior is super cute, and the staff is always amazing- friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to discuss flavors while offering fantastic recommendations. Will be back again and again.

Reservation: Made reservation on OpenTable. Highly recommended since the restaurant is not huge, and Saturday night was pretty busy!Food: There's a huge variety available, including some more adventurous items (like frogs and silkworms- Eek). We ordered lamb, beef, chicken, green beans, and garlic fish! Ambiance: Interior is cute, but the tables are smaller, and would not recommend it for a group larger than 6. It looks like they have a whole karaoke stage set up for after hour parties! lol Parking: lots of parking

"This place is great for all your seafood needs ... Keep in mind this place is a drive thru so expect to get a drive thru type of atmosphere if you want a more sit in dinner with desert then go elsewhere .... Now if your going to get fish I suggest get the whole catfish !!!! If you love fish get two you will not be disappointed. This is a "neighborhood favorite" type of restaurant my food is cook to order I have no complaints except for that so called salad they give with your fish ...Great place !"
"Pros: food tastes pretty goodCons: strong bleach smell that overpowers everything and dampens the mood. They charge for water, charge for sauce, don't honor specials listed. Overcharged for a few things. Bill should have been $60 and ended up being $90. Not very happy."
"Just get your fish and go home and grub!!! Believe it or not the catfish tails are REALLY GOOD. The steaks are great and the fillets are well just filets. The cornmeal breading was just right ! Everything we had was cooked to order and hot when we got it home! The sweet pickles are hot as hell!! I would eat here again!!"
"Everyone always asks me where my favorite pho restaurant in Fort Worth is. Hands down Pho Hotpot and Crawfish 7! Their broth is rich & flavorful and it stays piping hot in these Korean bowls. Yes, that's a beef rib. The best part: they accept card"
"Food was good, waitresses were nice and friendly. This is a sports bar so the seafood was limited but overall it was a nice experience, looking forward to the Banda."
"Best seafood I've had in the long time fresh and very tasty. The staff was amazing quick and efficient."
"Always have a great time at the crab station Visting Mike and Julia! Best bartenders ever!"
"This was to be a one and done visit. I wanted to just try a new place. It came across as another seafood boil place. Boy was I wrong. Both parts wrong. Ever since the first visit, my family and I have been back every Friday. This not your ordinary boil. I don't even know where to start. Do I talk about the multiple flavors and seasonings you can choose from? Do I talk about the to die for sauces? Or do I even point out the many combinations of boils you can choose from; is that my starting point? Let me just tell you about my first visit. Walked in, and this young man who is always in the front, welcomes me in and begins to tell me about their boils. Crawfish, shrimp with or without head, scallops, clams, mussels, crabs of all sorts and lobster. You can get the normal corn and potatoes or add sausage, noodles or eggs. Multiple sauces and levels. Now, check this out, presentation is everything. Been to many seafood boil places. You get your food in a bag and that's it. Not here. There is air still in the bag. They give you a bib and gloves. They want you to enjoy your food, not your clothes. Everything was fantastic. Perfect to the tee.The Gator Balls has the right amount of kick. Please try the blackened salmon. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. And I know you are asking if all is awesome, why the four stars instead of five. The first visit extremely impressed me, I had to come again. The following Friday, came back with the family. The catfish basket just didn't taste right. You could taste the seasoning, but not the fish. It was just off. Then the waitress first delivered the wrong food to us and disappeared. Took a long moment for her to return. When she did come back to correct the error, we didn't see her again until it was time to check out. She never offered to refill our drinks.Again though, the food do call you back and we were back the following Friday. Better service, again dynamic food. Great ambiance. Will be there next Friday."
"Don't r as this book by its cover, Best darn shrimp and crawfish, seasoned and cooked we have ever had. Small market with a few tables but can have cooked and bring home too. Is now our go to place for seafood.Great friendly service too."
"Holy moly. I'm not Mexican but I'm gonna say this is the best Mexican I've had. Super fresh. Can't lose with any item on the menu. So far, I've loved seafood tacos, all the soups, taco salad, seafood appetizer dip... Plan to try lots more. Love the enclosed patio. Ask for Kiko!!!"
"The seafood has the best flavor in DFW hands down. Customer service is great. The atmosphere is family friendly and overall a great place to eat to fix any seafood cravings. been going for 2 years now and I'm addicted"
"I love supporting independent eateries, and Big Taco is a welcome addition to the McKinney restaurant scene, especially since the closure of Del Sur. It's been a bit of a bummer not having an authentic Mexican eatery on the west side of town, but luckily, Big Taco has filled that void. The only downside is that it's a counter service restaurant and lacks full service. While we usually opt out for counter service, we gave it a shot, and although we missed the option to sit at a bar, the experience was still worth it. I sampled the fish and shrimp tacos--absolutely amazing! My husband, who tends to stick to the classics, enjoyed the nachos.Despite the absence of a bar and full service, the delicious and authentic Mexican meals will keep us coming back for more. Big Taco is a hidden gem on the west side, and we're thrilled to have such a flavorful spot in the neighborhood."
"I never thought I would find BBQ worse than Dickies. Well I have. At the corner or highway 287 and Walnut Grove sits a Sonic, Texas Best Smokehouse, Pistol & Pearls and a Shell all rolled into one building. Decided to have some ribs for lunch and I'm sorry I did. This was the most disgusting ribs that I have ever had. Sides were canned and doctored up a bit. Slaw was ok. The best thing I had was the ice water. Keep driving. Don't stop. Save yourselves. There is way too many good bbq joints in Texas. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star."
"LOOK NO FURTHER for the best Mexican food in Ellis County! The service is FANTASTIC, and even when they didn't have what we wanted; they provided FREE ice cream in return. A must go place, great music, good food, and even better service.ps free peanuts !"
"So I passed by this chicken spot a few times not really realizing it's there. I was in the mood for corn fritters and churches and kfc don't have, so it dawn on me to try this place. I never had Louisiana Fried chicken so didn't know what to expect beside Louisiana be known for spices. I got the 3 piece chicken with corn fritter and another side of fritters with dirty rice. The fritters was good, the chicken was batter nicely and had nice seasoning spice to it. The rice didn't see to pack a punch, but still good. There's other stuff I have to try also, but overall 4-4.5 stars. I would good back ."
"You should try it you won't regret it! It's delicious the crack wings hand down is the best flavor! First time coming my husband ordered the mushroom burger and fish basket n my daughter and I ordered wings. We all agree the crack wings was bomb. The two ladies there are so nice thank yall for working on getting our food to us. We appreciate a good hole in the wall, the ambiance was festive loved the beads and decor!"
"Yum!!! The shrimp was cooked perfectly! A few shrimps were a bit overdone but the sauce was perfect!I got med and a mix of garlic / lemon pepper and an extra side of spice. They took my order over the phone and was ready in 10 mins.Head on 1 lb was 13.99 was is a decent price! I love seafood boils and think this is one of my new go to spots."
"If you love soul food and down home cooking then check out Good Luck Chicken. I had to snap this pic of fried chicken going out! So much food!! Chuck and his team are so extremely nice. I left with a fried catfish basket- came with fries, small salad, hot pepper and tartar sauce plus ketchup salt pepper. Very generous portions. You can pick you drink and he had tons to choose from. Mostly cans and bottles. He also has shakes!! Will he back. Love that he has Monster! No real spots to eat at unless you want to stand or sit outside on curb. He uses different delivery ordering devices."
"Food was hot and fresh, very welcoming! Will definitely come back when we are in the area. We had the Texas size shrimp, lemon pepper and sour cream."
"Searched for Mexican food near me, and this popped up. Maybe 20 tables with a full bar. I had the lunch combo #1. Excellent. Best Tex-Mex I've had in a while."
"I admit I was hesitant at first to go into the place. It really is t the most inviting storefront. But the reviews were great and I was hungry for wings so I took a deep breath and decided to take my chances.Upon entering the place was rustic but sparkling clean. It definitely feels more like a bar than restaurant. The fantastic staff greeted me warmly and made me feel at home. I was seated at a small table and reviewed the small menu. (Note that I prefer places with somewhat limited menus. They focus more on quality dishes than doing everything mediocre.)I settled on wings and their two piece catfish platter with fries. I watched several sports channels as I waited for my lunch. The meal took a bit to come out, but again I find this as a sign of the quality of the food. When it did come out I was impressed. The catfish was true catfish with that very slightly muddy taste real wild catfish have. Served with a sauce and hot sauce and was crispy, flaky and not at all greasy. Fries were great. Crisp with fluffy centers.I got the Parmesan Garlic wings and enjoyed them. As well.My server was wonderful. Friendly and attentive without hovering. A good price for a meal I couldn't finish. One thing to note is they don't have brewed iced tea but a full bar and sodas. Don't let the scary storefront keep you from having a wonderful meal."
"This is a great hidden gem in Dallas! The food and service was fabulous. I highly recommend making reservations, even on a Wednesday night. It was very busy. I can't wait to go back."
"Excellent meal and the service was wonderful. I ordered grilled shrimp fettuccine. The order came out very quick and was cooked perfectly. I didn't even have time to finish my $5 house margarita. The portions were good. I brought home a nice portion of my fettuccine, but ate all of the shrimp. The only negative point in the evening was the people waiting to be seated were standing right beside our table. There was no other place for them to stand."
