"I saw this place listed in a Yelp collection and thought it would be good to try something new. We love Mexican food and this place also has Salvadoran cuisine. The papusas are really good. We tried a couple different ones and had the chicken flautas. You order at the counter and they bring you the food. They have a good amount of searing too. Lots of food choices and a great meal overall. We will be back!"
"What is not to love about this local spot in a strip mall. This place can be over looked if you are not careful. The service was sweet and it seemed like a local joint. My mom had a seafood soup that she loved. The portion size was huge. I had 2 papusa's which were great. I wish I would have ordered more from the menu. I will be back"
"We came here during the lunch time and Carissa our waitress made sure we were taken care of. There are plenty of places to park and the prices are on par with other Mexican/Salvadoran restaurants. I ordered the street tacos (chicken) which came with a side of refried beans and Spanish rice. I ordered the horchata drink and for dessert tres leches cake. We had complimentary chips and salsa for the table. I love adding beans, rice and green salsa to my tacos, needless to say I enjoyed them. The horchata tasted powdery, I've had better. The tres leches was delicious and moist a nice way to finish the meal. The atmosphere was inviting and the noise level minimal. If I am ever in the area I would return."
"The review is for a carry out order of pupusas for a gathering. The restaurant itself could be "seen" from the outside as a hole-in-the-wall. The security bars on the windows are less than inviting and their use of window signs could be tapered back to give a passerby a better idea of the interior. As is, not at all inviting. On the inside, at 1p on a Saturday, lively. Party lights were on, music in the background. Restaurant staff were having conversations with customers. It was a big hangout. I placed an order by phone a few hours in advance. Wasn't easy. At the time I was unaware that the owner was out and he speaks the most English. His employees tried their best and I tried to utilize Google translate as quickly as I could muster. We got er'done and the twenty pack assortment of pupusas was ready on time as requested. Five jalapeño, five pork, five chicken and five spinach. My only gripes was that pricing wasn't properly conveyed (online differs from charges in store) nor did (at the time of purchase) the owner reveal that they charge a "service fee" for cc usage. Almost $2 bucks is ludicrous imo.The pupusas were a hit. Something different, some Texans had tried them prior and excitedly looked forward. Others were newbies and found them delightful. I had two! Funny thing, the spinach was the least popular. All pupusas are stuffed with cheese and you can choose an additional ingredient. They offer a few choices. Don't get just one. They make them in house, so get an assortment and pair it with a hearty stew or meat. It should soak up well and that secondary entree will add depth to that tantalizing bread. Pupusas are served with a pickled shredded cabbage. Theirs is tasty and pairs well."
"One word: PUPUSA. Probably the best I've had and it's literally down the street from where I live! They make it fresh! You can tell it's fresh because it takes about 5-8 minutes wait and one bite and you're going to burn your tongue. Come here for the most authentic Salvadorian food! The pupusas are sold for $1.35 and there is beans, meat, or cheese. Try all three. You will love it. It comes with a side of cabbage and together, it's just tastes so good."
"FOOD INSTAGRAM: @northtx.gemz**** WHAT THEY'RE KNOWN FOR: a Salvadoran and Mexican food spot serving pupusas, tacos, burritos, and gorditas (and WAY more). THE VIBE: typical grab and go place. They lowkey have a lunch rush so honestly I would enjoy my meal inside of here next time especially with all the good salsas to choose from! PRICE: ~$14 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes. ****Overall Rating: 9/10- Ever since one of my old Salvadoran coworkers brought pupusas to work I've been obsessed and looking for a place to have them at. - Tacusa is one of those hidden gems that have locations in Fort Worth, Hurst, & Arlington that I had no idea about! - I will say these pupusas are HUGE and the ones I first had were smaller and able to carry around and eat but this one is filled with cheese and meat to the brim. This is not a light meal at all so be prepared to eat! I will even say that this one plate could feed two people. - The pupusas take longer to cook so be patient with the staff. I swear it's worth the wait! The flavor of the chicken was spicy and flavorful. The loroco pupusa is a traditional plant that is often cooked with cheese in pupusas. It reminded me of cactus! Not really much flavor from the plant but still a good texture. - The salsas are so spicy but so flavorful and good. Rice and beans were packed with underlying flavors. My mouth is watering while I type this. This meal is decadent and filling so be prepared to eat if you try Tacusa out!"
"A tough day for lunch out. Cold and rainy. Looking for some warming food; we came across Rosi's Salvadoran Fusion on Jefferson. New to us, we decided to check it out, as we're big banana leaf tamal fans. What we found was an interesting blend of lounge and bar, outdoor patio and indoor line of tables and chairs stretching to the back entrance. Junior, our waiter, was very friendly and helpful. He showed us a photo of loroco. "Echites panduratus is an important source of food in Guatemala and El Salvador. The plant's buds and flowers are used for cooking in a variety of ways." Junior said that it's similar to squash blossoms and it's used in dishes at Rosi's.We each ordered chicken tamals and I ordered a pork, bean and cheese pupusa called a Revuelta. My husband picked the Pechuga con Salsa de Loroco; a grilled chicken, rice, grilled veggies and loroco sauce entree. The tamals had peppers, beans and chicken inside. The masa was delicious and tender. The chicken was a little tough and the pieces were a little big and stringy. On the whole, though, they were pretty good. My pupusa was excellent with a terrific tangy slaw and a thin tasty tomato dressing. I think I could come back and try all their pupusas if they're all as good as this one.I tried a bite of everything on my husband's plate and that Loroco sauce is amazing. More of that please. We had a good time in spite of the dreary day. Junior is wonderful. Parking is the only issue. That area, even at shortly after 11A, is busy. There's parking meters out front and a lot of "Loft Residents Only" in back; but hey, it was raining, maybe there's more I didn't see. We lucked out in back. But go for the food. You won't regret that."
"My friend asked me if I ever had a Pupusa? I was like no. She was craving that so we headed to the South Side on a Sunday afternoon. We walked in and it was packed! Every seat in restaurant was taken except for table by the door. We sat and waited for our food which took an hour, not sure why? As we waited by the door, so many people came in and out of the restaurant. There was a lot of to go orders. They use, Door Dash, Uber eats and Grub hub. Every time someone left, the door would stay open and we would freeze our butts off. I had to keep getting up to close the door. Then, when I would close the door, someone would come in! The crowd was mainly large families. A few young couples eating together. It seems like people just woke up and wanted Salvadoran food. This was not the best experience but, Iam so, thankful I got to try something new. If you like this type of food. Check it out some time.My Pupusa was fullfiling and semi greasy slim on the chicken and beans too? Rice had veggies like, Corn , Carrots and Green beans."

So happy we finally decided to stop and give this place a try. Sunday at 1pm and the place is packed. We have been to the international store next door soooo many times and nobody inside and of course when we visit it's packed. That's a great sign. I have never had puposas before so we had a learning curve and the waitress didn't speak much English but between my husbands Italian and her Spanish we figured it out. We tried 4 different ones, the cheese and flower, the chicken and cheese, the pork and chicken combo and spinach and cheese. All of them were tasty but the chicken and pork mixtures were our favs. The frijoles and rice were excellent and the pina aqua Fresca was the bomb. We both left so full and the tab was under $25!!!! $25!!! All in all a winner, we will definitely be back to try the tamales and elotes plus need to try the fried plantains. 9/10

We were in town from Tacoma for the NCA cheer championships and I love trying local places. Found this place on yelp. The food was amazing, the beans tasted just like my grandma makes (very hard to duplicate). The owner was very nice and chatted with us. Invited us back for karaoke that evening (we didn't make it). Definitely would go back to this place if we are ever in the area

Very slow service, I tried calling and the phone number didn't work which should have been a sign. Ordered inside to go and he had me pull up in the drive thru just for me to wait over 20 min for 4 Pupusas. Even the people behind me drove off because the service was so slow. The food was excellent but customer service needs to be better.

Loved the PUPUSAS. So flavorful. I ordered the loroco. The curtido is great. The tomato sauce is a little watery for my liking but flavor is fine. Will definitely come back for pupusas.

I've been to Rossi's Salvadoran numerous times, and the food is always amazing. I always start with a Pupusas, which come in many variations and are all quite large and filling. The Steak y Camarones, Bistec Salvadoreño, and Carne Asada as the main course are all stellar. And their Rosi's Old Fashioned is spectacular, made with banana liqueur. This location on Jefferson Boulevard is well worth checking out, with easy parking in the back.

True authentic Papusas!! Don't be fooled by the exterior. This place is truly authentic when it comes to Salvadoran food. I was introduced to this place by a coworker who swore by the papusas and I have to tell you she was right now! They offer several kinds you can buy them separate or as a meal with beans, plantains, etc. There is also a free juice which is a refreshing concoction of fresh fruits. It's very sweet so add some water to tone it down. We left the place full and pleased with our meals. The place is packed and there is extra parking in the back if you need it.

"Dropped in here before a meeting to grab a bite to eat. This is a very small place offering three tables to dine at. The young lady who helped me was very friendly. They have a fairly good selection to choose from at very reasonable prices. I ordered a Lingua Taco, and a Barbacoa Taco, and both were very delicious. Their chips n salsa is good as well. I will definitely be back. Worthy of a bookmark and a try if you're passing through, or if you live or work near-by."
"Love this little gem! Was craving some authentic Salvadorian pupusas and WOW - this spot HIT the spot. Ordered one of each and wish I had ordered more. Great flavor masa and the pupusas were top notch for penny's on the dollar. No joke - the entire meal was around $15 and I made a generous tipI grabbed a magnet for the fridge because I know I'll be back"
"WOW! What a bunch of baby's and losers on here writing the low star reviews. I'm a retired yelp elite reviewer (lol) but I had to come back and say that most of the bad reviews on here about servers and not being treated right. Get a grip y'all. You want love and attention go get a girlfriend. This place is a BUFFET NOW AND IT ROCKS!It is one of the top buffets I've been to in years. So many different meats! Such good pupusas and the slaw was knocking boots good! Chicken, multiple kinds of pork, multiple kinds beef, delicious rice, seafood soups, ridiculously moist and fresh rice. SO GOOD! ALL FRESH! With a drink it was about $18 out the door. What?!? For an all you can eat Latin Food buffet with 8 kinds of tender meat?? Is this place a front? Who cares! Go and enjoy! Are the waitresses and waiters at the buffet gunna sit down and read you bed time stories and refill that drink cup 7 times? No, they aren't, but they will bring you a refill if you catch their eye and be nice if you aren't a giant piece of dirt. The fried banana and fried cinnamon cream thing and the bread pounding are sinfully well made. Woof. Watch out. You'll bust a button. It's kinda dark and I think it turns into a bar at night - but go for the lunch buffet. Holy cow. So good. There, a recent review from someone who eats out over 400 times a year lol not some local cry baby or planted negative review by bitter mom and pop places. Done. Eat. Enjoy."
"I was in the area and it had been such a while since I've gotten my hands on pupusas, so decided to check this place out. The restaurant itself doubles up as a store selling some snacks. It is pretty small in itself but manages to squeeze in tables and private booths. You order at the counter and get your food brought over to you. No pre-made pick 'em up pupusas here, they're made to order which I thought was great.I ordered the following varieties as a to-go order:1. Lengua - Beef tongue. If you've never had it before, the texture can have some getting used to, but I like it, having had it in taco format before. It is high in fat so it is flavorful.2. Pollo - Straight forward pulled chicken with a smattering of tomato. The chicken was my least favorite of the bunch, as the meat in itself was a bit dry.3. Barbacoa - Shredded beef, was great!4. Pastor - (Al) Pastor is my favorite type of carne in Latin dishes and this one didn't disappoint. Easily my favorite and so flavorful and seasoned well. The pupusas came with the curtido, which is the Salvadoran slaw. Had tanginess, sourness and heat all together. Add some of this to the pupusa and add a dab of the sauce they provide."
"Hands down, the best pupusas ever! Let's also celebrate how they're dirt cheap at only $1!! We weren't initially greeted so we just sat down at a table that already had menu and then someone came to serve to us. I didn't hear our waitress speak a lick of English, which is not ideal, but thankfully, the boyfriend speaks Spanish. I could probably get by with coming alone and just pointing at things on the menu. Lol.If you don't know what to get - chicharron con queso pupusas! Add some pickled cabbage on top and drench in salsa."
"I'm Hole in the Wall Queen. This place is my kingdom. I frigging love this place, but only for one thing...PUPUSA! I've tried other things on the menu and honestly don't care for them. If you care for other items, this place might not be for you. If you care only for pupusa, this place is it. What it lacks in wholesomeness in other areas of the menu, it makes up in the awesomeness of its pupusas. I've been braving the ghettos for these wicked pupusas every week now. Ask for a side of slaw/pickled if she doesn't provide them by default. There's also complimentary chips and dips while you wait. Definitely come when you've got time though. There's only one server and she seems to be the Jill of all trades within the confines of those walls. She takes order, serves the food, handles cleaning, and organizing. I should also warn--this place seems like it's always closed because it's so quiet, but it's open. Oh wait, Horchata is pretty good too!"
"This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem , the food was delicious. My husband loved the nachos . I enjoyed the carne asada"
"We come here for the nacatamalas my brother in law is from Nicaragua but lives in Arizona. We send him four every time someone comes to visit. He really loves them !!"
"Excellent food and service. We arrived and I was surprised by how large the restaurant was! It was also decorated beautifully and looked squeaky clean!I ordered one of the breakfast plates and I was so impressed; everything was made to order and it definitely tasted like it. The beans were silky and delicious, the two El Salvadoran cheeses were delectable, and the tortillas were HANDMADE, FLUFFY and out of this world. I also ordered a pupusa, which looked so good, but I was so full with my breakfast plate I had to take it home. For the folks that are not familiar with this Central American treat, you are missing out! The best way to describe it would be to say it's two dough-y tortillas filled with your choice of filling along with delicious white cheese. It's heavenly. My husband ordered a carne asada and it did not disappoint. The portions were massive and he said it was delicious as well! The restaurant also has a bakery/mini-market within it so we were able to take home baked goodies! They were so good without being overly sweet or sugary. There is no doubt in my mind I will be back! Delicious food and excellent service, plus our waitress was so nice! Five stars!"
"Had the Burrito and a couple of Papusas. Both were excellent. Will definitely be back."
"My flight from DFW was delayed by two hours so we found this place via Yelp and decided to give it a try. We were greeted in Spanish as we entered. Several families occupied tables covered with steaming plates and bowls filled with food I vaguely recognized. A server seated us and took a few minutes to explain the menu. Due to the sudden drop in temperature we went with a seafood soup and a sampler plate that we shared. This is definitely a spot for the local Salvadoran community. Lots of people stopping in for to go orders as well. Food was fresh. Soup was my favorite of all we ordered. Customer service was consistent throughout our visit."
"Great authentic pupusas which I add rice and beans- zero English spoken so I can't be too adventurous yet-2 nd visit, clean and courteous"
