Linda S. "The service was outstanding from the guy who sat up and from our server. The place is very simple in decor, comfortable but not any kind of fancy. They had plenty of staff working so no wait.I had the egg noodle pho. The noodles were a chewy al dente and plenty of them. The broth wasn't as rich as o would have liked. The seafood was cooked well but the sliced pork was like dry leather. The hubs had Korean bbq ribs. The flavor was excellent but the quality of meat was not good. The meat was so tough. The ribs came with fried rice that was very tasty, a small salad and some broth. We paid $36 before tip. Reasonable prices overall. I wouldn't order the bbq ribs again"

There is paid parking nearby if you don't arrive early enough for the free parking. The service is fast and friendly. The place is small and cozy. Usually you can find people breaking her for lunch during the weekday."

I've noticed as the days have been getting colder I've been coming back for more soup dumplings and wontons for a spicy/comfort snack. My husband is always a fan of their ample fried rice options and has been working through the menu to find his favorite. The only miss for me here is the drinks. Definitely a diamond in the rough.I like the decor inside. They have booths so you can have a conversation but not too cramped either. Be prepared that it might get a little busy, so you have to give them a few minutes and be patient. We stayed off with egg rolls. Wow! They were fresh and really crispy. Great flavor and watch out....oven hot coming out.I ordered the Pad Thai with beef. Loved those noodles and so much flavor lacked in the plate. The beef was packed in there and once again, so much flavor. We will definitely come back and try other items on the menu."

Jen A. "We went to the restaurant on a cold day specifically for the filet spicy pho. I have been craving pho and my partner said he had the best spicy pho a few years back in south Fort Worth. So of course we had to go. The restaurant is located on the corner of a small strip shopping center. It is clean and has ample seating. I have to mention the bathroom is one of the cleanest I've seen and they had mouthwash and flossers in there if you needed. Our waitress was friendly and welcoming and greeted us as soon as we walked in. We ordered the eggrolls and two regular bowls of the filet spicy pho. The eggrolls came out fresh and hot. Very tasty!! The soup had great flavor. It is definitely not for anyone who does not like spice. My face was flushed and my sinuses cleared by the time I finished the bowl. We both left satisfied and will return the next time we're craving spicy pho."

We then got chicken fried rice (no veggies) orange chicken and Seasame chicken. These were good but they tasted almost the exact same. They lack beef entrees on their chef specials. The skewers have a nice smokey flavor and the pork belly and lamb ones were super crispy and delicious! Sandra K. "Wow, comfort Korean noodles that will keep you thinking about this for days! Heads up, nice clean modern restaurant, but you order at the kiosk, get your food at the counter when your number is called. Get your own water and utensils. I don't remember if we had to bus our own table. What we ordered: Signature beef bone soup: beef bone was big and tender. We requested for not so spicy soup. Noodles were so soft and chewy. Family loved this flavor. Kooksoo noodle soup: soooo yum! Soup was flavorful with just a tiny kick. Excellent balance of flavors. And the middles were so chewy and soft. Beef rice: flavorful beef (maybe blackbean flavor) and garlic. Again, very balanced. So good with rice. We finished everything then remembered Mike Chen had the stir fry noodle. We weren't hungry anymore but wanted to try it...so we did. Swoon, so so good! Stir fry noodle: a saucy stir fry noodle. Similar to the kooksoo noodle, but not soupy. This was my favorite. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in the area."

Laura C. "This was an impulse decision to have dinner here and there were definite pros and cons. The sushi and sashimi was my highlight. Well prepared and a good price point, we shared a spicy tuna roll and I had the sashimi appetizer as an entree. The snapper was the least tender fish; but at $8 and $14 respectively for nice portions and with good flavor, I was content with that.I wasn't happy, though, with the tough cubes of tasteless skewered chicken billed as Yakitori in Teriyaki Sauce. I did ask for more sauce; but really, I needed a knife, which I didn't have, just to get it off the skewer. My husband had the Japanese Curry Chicken, a dinner entree. He loved this dish; but the "either or steamed or fried rice" carried an upcharge of $2.50 that was not made known to us. I didn't see it on the menu and the waiter didn't mention it. The upcharge appeared on the bill. That's a little steep for a bowl of fried rice that had no additives. They also brought him his bowl of curry without the dinner additions of soup and salad. If I hadn't mentioned the salad, it never would have come and my husband waived the soup. This brings me to the service. Our waiter was a nice guy and I believe he meant well but I've had much better service associated with Japanese dining. What part of this is the restaurant's fault, I honestly couldn't say.No chop sticks were on our table or were offered although I saw them on other tables, no small plates were offered with the tuna roll which we shared, no extra napkins were offered in addition to the ONE which came with the fork, there was the dinner order problem, and when ready to leave, he brought us the two boxes and a soup container we asked for but no sack. So is it training? We tipped him more so on his personality actually. It's hard to rate a place that has such divided points of service. Sushi and Sashimi was the star here. The kitchen performance was mixed and so was service. The restaurant itself was comfortable and there's plenty of parking. The Hibachi grills at the other end had a number of birthday celebrations happening. I left not really interested about returning, though."

Anj L. "Disclaimer: I ordered via DoorDashFirst time trying Rakkan Ramen and I was excited to finally experience their food.I totally appreciate that this restaurant offers so many vegetarian options! It is difficult finding ramen that is not pork based. I recently had dental surgery, so I say that I am on a geriatric diet, meaning soft foods. When I saw Rakkan as an option on DD, I knew it was the right time to try it.I ordered the vegan bun, veggie gyoza and Vegan Garnet ramen. I must confess, I am a mushroom fanatic. I could eat mushrooms for every meal and I have never met one that I didn't like. The vegan bun was full of umami mushrooms, which were delicious. Unfortunately, the bun was falling apart and I had to eat it with a fork. The bun was mushy- bummer. The veggie gyozas were tasty, but the best part was the dip for them. I have never had gyoza sauce that was that tasty-- I could drink the stuff! The ramen... what a disappointment. I really thought that since it contained the same mushrooms as the bun, that it would be delicious. Sadly, it was boring and lacked so much flavor. Plus, the serving was shockingly small for the high price. With tax and tip, the meal was $39. Thirty nine dollars for one person! I mean, at a fine dining establishment I would expect this. At a ramen eatery, no. What a bummer."

Pixiu has a station of ingredients that are more suited for a Korean palette, charged by weight, served in a bubbling bowl of addictive southern Chinese mala (numb spicy) soup. You can pick how much you want to eat/spend and how spicy your soup is. Grab a bowl and fill it with your favorite veggies (My favorites are sweet napa cabbage and peppery crown daisy), tofu, fish balls, noodles, shrimp, rice cake, etc. Choose your meat when you bring your bowl to the counter.Even if I finish all the goodies inside, I always take the soup to go--it easily makes for another one or two meals if you just chuck it in a pot with more veggies, tofu, thin hotpot meat slices, and noodles!"

Everyone was so sweet, helpful, and welcoming! What's crazy is, I actually had to cancel this reservation a few weeks prior due a family emergency, and ended up rebooking for a new date as soon as I had the chance. Somehow, the manager remembered my name and was like "I'm so glad you were able to make it in this time. I saw you had to cancel the previous reservation." That alone blew me away!! Like how on earth did she remember that tiny detail from a few weeks ago?!?! So unexpected and so thoughtful! ANYWAY - that sweet interaction set the tone for the rest of the evening and everything that followed was IMMACULATE!! To start we had: the Moo Ping, Coconut Shrimp, and the Thai Chicken wings. While everything was good, those WINGS?!?!?! NEXT LEVEL. I actually ended up ordering another batch immediately after because they were so delicious!! Perfectly crispy on the outside, super juicy on the inside and SO well seasoned. Seriously - THE BEST!! For entrees - my man did the Massaman curry and I did the Thai Charm Beef Salad. Both entrees were SO GOOD!! The salad was SO fresh and flavorful!! The beef was super tender and well seasoned, and the dressing added the PERFECT tangy zest!! Absolutely loved it!! The curry was delicious as well! We both loved it!! My man always loves everything super spicy, so he got the highest spice level for the curry - but still didn't think it was hot, meanwhile - it was spicy to me (I can tolerate a little bit of spice lol), so keep that in mind if you're a spice lover!! THEN - at the very end, they brought us a complimentary birthday cheesecake, which was such a sweet surprise!! It was so rich, creamy, and delicious. On top of that, we ordered the fried ice cream and it was an absolute DREAM!! Seriously - SO GOOD!! Honestly - I knew this place was going to be good but I guess I wasn't prepared for HOW GOOD!!
