"Had a blast enjoying the music. The drinks were not the best but the musicians were so awesome I had to give this spot 4 ."
"I was skeptical when I read all the bad reviews, and saw the pictures of food in Styrofoam. Im a food snob gringo by any definition, and hate wasting time and calories on aggressively mediocre food. But I went anyway and am so glad I did. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. I had the garlic mojarra, and I'm dead serious that it is the best fish dish I have had in Texas. It came out assertively crispy, which made me concerned that the fish would be dried to a chewy meh. Every bite was silky succulent to the very last morsel. Mid way through, when it came time to flip it over, I was concerned that the luscious fish would make the underside exterior soggy and gummy. Nope, it absorbed the fishy goodness and kept it's satisfying crunch. I can't explain why my experience is so different than other reviews, but if you have the same experience I did, you'll be looking for how soon you can be back!"
"This is a really cool little club. Has speakeasy vibes almost. We saw SWMRs and The Buttertones weekend before last. I did see some of the reviews mentioning the AC. As someone who has a thyroid disorder that makes me very susceptible to overheating I can happily report that they seem to have gotten the AC fixed. I was in the pit jumping around and never got too badly overheated. They definitely had the air blasting. Drinks were average in price for the area- $7ish for a tall boy. We parked in the garage that was very close to the venue. We got stuck leaving at the same time a concert at the factory was getting out, so it took awhile, but if there isn't an event going on there, I would recommend parking in the garage. There is an elevator that will put you right at street level and IF you don't get caught behind a concert crowd it seems like an easy in/out spot. Overall I would definitely come back to RBC for a show."
"Step back in time with an authentic Texas restaurant and bar. Great atmosphere, food and staff! Complimentary biscuits and jam! Starters included unique, tamales and deviled eggs. Must try the "battered to perfection" Texas sized, chicken fried steak, on a bed of mashed potatoes, topped with cream gravy. Sirloin steak, "grilled to perfection" with a side of fresh, green beans. Great list of wine and beer."
"I can't remember the last time I was here. However, my cousin wanted me to join her for a concert so I did! I had such a great time! There was lots to see!First of all, they have a friendly staff. A male Cowboy showed us where to go and a female Cowgirl said, Y'all enjoy! It's the southern hospitality that gets me every time and never gets old! Billy Bob's has a Gift shop, a Mechanical Bull, a BBQ concession, a Pizza Concession and has the best Popcorn for $3.00! You can buy a drink and get free refills too! They also have several large bars. Our Waitress came around several times to check on us. The Restrooms have been remodeled and there are many stalls. The temperature is just right and they have two Dance floors! The sound system is stellar too! It's just the right volume. You are able to hear the person next to you.Thank you Billy Bob's for having David Lee Garza and Bobby Pulido Perform. I truly enjoyed their performances. So, gather all your friends and head to Billy Bob's and experience this great venue!"
"I accordance with the laid back vibe of Fort Worth, this rooftop bar fits the bill when it comes to relaxed, good time. Everything from the adjacent pool to the beautifully manicured gardens - it's an urban oasis that serves as a perfect escape from either the hustle and bustle of the city or the raising temperatures outside. The gardens resonated a wild and rustic feel, consisting mainly of bushes, small trees, and lush plants. There are no flowers to be admired, but it seems to make more sense that way as there was a common chic Western, ranch theme running throughout the hotel. The service was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. However, I was more impressed with the beer and cocktail menu. Feeling a bit frisky - I ordered the strawberry and basil mojito. I don't know what got into me - maybe it was the poolside ambiance or the exciting view of downtown Fort Worth - I knew I wanted a stiff cocktail. The Mojito successfully delivered. For a reasonable price, the serving size was generous as were there fresh ingredients of the drink. They even offer an Argentinian beer, that made all the boys happy at the table, that I had never recognized until now. Thanks Kevin - for putting together, yet another wonderful Yelp get together. Funkytown holds a special place in my heart."
"I was there for the Performing Arts Fort Worth Children's Education Fund Awards Luncheon. It's a great venue and the students put on a great performance!!!"
"Wanted to try this place out. So I took my wife and so to try it out. My wife and I wanted to try the Chicken Fried Steak and my so. Ordered the Ribeye. The chicken fried steaks were so tender and had plenty of gravy. The Ribeye was perfect Mid-well, and it was very tender and juicy. Thanks will be coming back."
"This is a new place and when I was helping my grandmother around her house, she was hungry and wanted me to pick up food. She mentioned a new place and we decided to try it. Normally with new places, it's hit and miss and I give them a pass on a few things, but here there was no need as everything was very good. I normally look for the odder items on the menu my first time somewhere and while they have a fairly limited menu, I opted for the Monte Cristo. It's been a while since I had one, so why not? It was pretty good size and very flavorful. The batter tastes like funnel cake batter without the sugar added so it had a great flavor and consistency. I also tried the onion rings where was lightly battered and was great. My wife got the chicken fried chicken and it was decent size and she said it was very well seasoned, and the mashed potatoes she got with it was very good. It tasted like fresh skin on potatoes cooked in butter so was very buttery and quite tasty (she let me try a bite lol). My grandmother on the other hand got a basic cheeseburger with fries and really enjoyed it.One thing we did notice is that everything seemed to be made from scratch, from the fries that appeared to be handcut to the potatoes and the batter from the onion rings, chicken fried chicken, and Monte Cristo, and the hamburger patty was def not a frozen patty. Everything was good and hot, came out in about 15 minutes, and even 15-20 minutes later when we started eating, nothing was cold or anything and we all enjoyed the meal. The one thing I do wish is that they offered smaller portions. I saw no kids menu (though it could be separate) or senior menu which would have been better for my grandmother. She's 85 and doesn't eat that much, and really had a hard time opening her mouth to eat that burger, as much as she really liked how it tasted. So making a smaller size burger for people like that would be nice, but overall absolutely no complaints from my end and my wife is set that sometime soon we will go there again and hopefully eat there (presuming my grandmother isn't hungry and sends us to get food, instead, of course. Next time I want to try their bbq bacon cheeseburger and see how that is(Sorry no onion rings in my picture....I just ate them first and finished them too quickly lol)"
"Nice Cozy Spot for Brunch on Sunday with Live Music! Great Food Selections and although priced higher than others worth every penny for scrumptious chef's creations. Brooklyn took good care of us making sure we had drinks and food was delicious."
"My little cousin turned 21 and wanted to have a night out on the town with her squad. We ended up in the Stockyards and the Thirsty Armadillo is where we ended the night. The "free cover" signs outside, along with the music (that surprisingly wasn't country on a Saturday night) was a big draw for our group. When we walked in, it was packed and people were in various stages of revelry--some were just getting started and some were ready to call it a night. Despite being packed, the venue is actually a decent size and has many different areas for patrons to hang out. The dance floor was popping, which I enjoyed. I like to dance so I hopped right on the dance floor and joined in with the "line dances" going on. Bar service is fairly quick and friendly and drinks are not ridiculously priced (although they are kind of small). While the Thirsty Armadillo would not be my choice of a venue, I would return based on the experience I had."
"The Grove at Mustang Station in Farmers Branch, Texas.Farmers Branch has been organizing free concerts of bands here for years and we've thoroughly enjoyed them. So glad to see them coming back after a long dry spell, due to covid.Wine & beer are for sale tonight, along with tex-mex from a local restaurant. Hope to see the return of numerous food trucks that they've had in the past.Counting on the return of local vendors, too. It was like a farmers market and craft show mix with 15 or so booths.Tonight, I'll enjoy PriMadonna, Texas' only Madonna tribute band and Even It Up, a Heart tribute band."

Wow!!! This place is amazing. I was very last minute in planning a friends birthday party as the location was an hour from my home but it was well worth it. I placed a request for seating and was almost contacted immediately by Ms. Carmen! She was very attentive to my needs and accommodated all of my requests. The staff had everything in order prior to my arrival and I didn't have to lift a finger. The waitress was impeccable. She is such a class act. The crowd got very large and she was able to keep up with all of our orders and returned in a timely manner. The band was amazing! They kept us all engaged throughout the night. I especially enjoyed them having 2 lead singers. Their energy was superb and my friends and I were definitely in a soulful trance! The patio was nice and warm and the dj played great music. It was definitely a different vibe so you could get the best of both worlds between Hip Hop and R&B all in one place. This venue is definitely added to our list for girls night out! Thank you to the Sandaga813 staff for this amazing experience. You all are in a league of your own!

Was here 4/15 for UZ & Oski* The sound system is loud, but not the best quality (don't forget to bring your concert earplugs if you go here)* Drinks were cheap but small and not strong, those two go together, I guess lol* There was water jugs in the back, super convenient so that you don't have to keep asking bar tenders for waterIt's pretty cool that they book underground talent here, which results in so much room due to lack of attendees compared to other EDM venues

Great atmosphere, great food! Deviled eggs and onion ring starters are a must... Little biscuits with blackberry jam... Delicious! Ribeye, tenderloin, short rib, chicken fried steak... Pick any of those and you will be a happy camper!!!

This place is a money grab. $10 parking and $4 each to get in to eat lunch and walk around. We ate lunch. The food was delicious and flavorful. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. I ordered sliced brisket, bacon potato salad and fried okra. This was $18. They don't skimp on portion sizes and I brought most of it back to the motel. Walked around a little and stopped at gift shop. I bought an enamel pin and sticker. We went to rodeo and walked back to our car and the neon signs were cool at night. Long lines to get in. Obviously printing money. Review 3 in 3025.

Here we are, the salad days: you could do plenty worse than finding yourself essentially the lofty equivalent of beach-side, in this case, on that date when the stars aligned and the Run For The Roses and the glorious Cinco De Mayo bunked together. So, of course, there were a myriad of racing nuts totally down to watch the race and sip on a Mexican bevvie to beat the heat. The Waterhouse doesn't appear to be open year round and doesn't particularly operate like it. There are fissures in the crisp veneer presented here, not the least of which appeared to be the bevy of suits peering in (but not interacting) through the 90 degree heat, but for all that, the staff were perfectly sweet, the cocktails mad tasty, the Latin beers at the ready. They even asked the main act playing the pool area to break until after the race was over, which I found particularly neighborly. All in all, this seemed largely a collective of folks bent on being in the moment, and I can't say I blamed 'em, even the dude who sidled up to the bar to play the 'hey, do you know you look like' game. That never ends well. But no question I walked out of here smiling regardless.

This is a great venue for true music lovers. Not a place to get rowdy and loud though as it's more of a listening room where the patrons want to hear the music, not talk with their friends. It seats maybe a couple hundred (if that), great acoustics and friendly hosts who will find you a seat in the cocktail table-style seating arrangement.Conveniently located in downtown Fort Worth, this is actually across the street from Bass Performance hall but a part of that larger venue with many places to eat before-hand and even after the show. There is a Flying Saucer pub with food a block away and a Razoo's cajun food restaurant 4 blocks away. And many others within walking distance. So go to McDavid if your favorite artist is playing here. You won't be disappointed.

Visiting from CA and our friends brought us here. Got there at 8 and they had a live band on at 10. We had a lot of fun, dancing, playing pool, meeting new people and you can't beat their prices for drinks! I hear the food next door is really good but they closed at 9pm. Looking forward to coming back!

"What a damn good time!! Seriously! Non stop dancing. On Friday nights there's a bomb a$$ band, great singing, and a bunch of happy people ready to have a good time. It's a nice sight to see! We stopped for the band and a nightcap after grabbing dinner downtown. There were 2 special bartender drinks on the menu. I can't rememeber the name but we tried them both, didn't like them and had to send it back. We ended up with Whiskey straight up. I'd advise everyone to stick with what they know as far as teh cocktails are concerned. Next time in the area I'll be parlaying in Three Links Deep Ellum. 5 star review for me"
"My wife and I stopped in to check out the amazing renovations. We have driven past the Isis many years thinking that at one point it would be demolished. We were fortunate to meet the owner Jeffrey Smith, and enjoyed having a drink and discussing the significant renovations. Jeffery let us check out the theater. They had Viva Las Vegas playing. My wife checked out the Speakeasy, and won't stop talking about amazing the chandeliers are. Jeffrey told us that the first person picks the movie for that showtime from the menu of movies available. The bar is vintage and the area is very comfortable. Really enjoyed and am amazed at the transformation. Can't believe this place isn't filled all the time."
"Haven't been to a dive bar in awhile and wasn't sure what to expect. I heard they had a great sound system so we got the band on the bill to play a Sunday night.Load in was fast and efficient, the sound guy was a totally cool guy, all staff treated us really nice. And the sound system WAS AMAZING. Drinks were cheap and fast. Atmosphere was better than a real dive. Area to sell merchandise, pool table, good lighting, super thrilled with the whole event.Band list that night was varied: Copperplate, Fervent Rose, Pinky Doodle Poodle and Downtown Brown. Check them all out!We will definitely return!"
"Great experience overall - friendly people and great food. We also enjoyed the live music - check this place out if you're down in the area! If you're not down there they have some cool VRBOs in town and Glen Rose is close too."
"New EDM club. Seeing tiesto tonight! Long lines but move fast. there's no sign indicating of the club anywhere outside but just find valet and ask. Sound was good enough. For grand opening, it went smoother than I thought"
"Came out to see the Cirque Spirit of Christmas Show in which my friend's daughters performs. The Glass Cactus is a nightclub entertainment venue attached to the Gaylord Texan.Perfect size for small acts, you feel like you're part of the action. This show featuring international circus acts along traditional lines was high energy. It runs thru the Christmas season and is worth catching."
"Great environment and service. Waiter was very nice and attentive- the best queso and pico and salsa I have ever had in my life! I think the meat in the queso with the pico was the best part of dinner. Totally enjoyed it- great price and felt very welcome"
"It's hard to understand how you could give Reveler's Hall less than 5 stars. The music is OUTSTANDING and it's $6 per table. We also love Scat Jazz Lounge but the tickets end up being around $20 a person. Reveler's Hall is a STEAL for live jazz. It's also hard to understand why people go here who don't love jazz. I'm consistently annoyed by obnoxious groups standing in the way, talking over the band, and just generally acting like idiots when there is exceptional music being played live 10 feet in front of them. If there's any reason to deduct a star, it's for the patrons, not the bar. We aren't late night folks, so we really appreciate the opportunity to see live music during the day on weekends or early in the evening on Fridays. Great happy hour too! If you love good live music, this is the place."
"I hope this review finds you in good health. It's summer time and I highly recommend the Levitt Pavilion! It's easy to get to , there's plenty of parking and the music is free! They have a few food trucks such as the Flying Pig and J Gillian's. My father blessed me with a Grilled Cheese Brisket Sandwich, from the Flying Pig. It was a little on the pricey side, $10. However, the bread was fairly large with lots a butter. Such a a interesting combination I've never heard of. You can bring your own food, drinks and pets.Just keep your dog on a leash and no glass containers. The sound is great! They have screens on the side of the stage for a better view. Also, the camera man zooms in on the stage. The stage is surrounded by beautiful Vitex Agnus trees. The landscaping is well taken care of. The lawn is large with freshly planted grass. There's plenty of space so, bring your blankets and lawn chairs. There's a large sidewalk for dancing. The event is secured too. Police officers are on patrol.Bathrooms are large and clean and the pathway to the restroom is lighted. They also have a hand sanitizing station before you get to the restroom.Balcony seating is also available. Please, see information booth regarding that.If your looking for some free entertainment, I would definitely come here."
"What an wonderful place and amazing food. Jon was our server and five stars for Jon, the management and, that chefs. Great atmosphere, too."
"A friend and I wandered in here late on a Saturday night. We entered with a little trepidation based on the area of Lewisville. It's located in a strip mall with a parking lot that has seen better days. We got to see the last set of a good band. The music was at just the right level that we could still have a conversation. The bartenders were quick and friendly, that is always appreciated. The Owner was so welcoming and you can tell he puts money back into improving the place. The patio is definitely a smokers haven but we had a good time meeting everyone out there. Looking forward to another visit."
"Super causal bar/night club with live music that charges $10 for admission (go through the restaurant side). We stumbled in there on a Friday night when Mars Hill was playing. Not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised. Mars Hill is a killer band who plays anything from the Temptations to Prince and Sir Mix-a-Lot to Chris Stapleton. The female lead singer was the rocker, male lead singer was the country star, and the trumpet player, saxophonist, and trombonist each rapped! What?! The guitar player killed it as well. There's a small strip of "dance floor" space where plenty of people were dancing all night. There's reentry so feel free to come and go as you please. I believe you can also bring food from next door into the bar. There are over 10 small tables you can gather around for a close up of the band. Our server was really nice and quick. The only questionable thing was that we ordered four Old-Fashioned, one Shiner, and three shots totalling $120. I think that's pretty hefty for a casual joint.I heard they play jazz only on Mondays. We'll have to check that out soon!"
"On a mission to make it to all the pop ups this Christmas so next stop Birdie's.Came with a friend on a Tuesday afternoon and we where the only ones there, but considering the time and day we were not surprised. This place is huge! I can see how it would be a lively place in the evening! Tons of seating inside and out. Dog friendly too.We started to get a holiday cocktail and the bartender directed us to a small inside bar area that had more offerings. Inside was dressed top to bottom in Christmas decor and looked amazing, a lot of "Instagrammable" moments to be had here!! I had the peppermint holiday drink and my friend the bad Santa(yummy take on an old fashion!) Both drinks didn't disappoint. This is a great spot to meet up with friends/family and get into the Holiday Spirit and enjoy festive cocktails FYI- Kitchen opens at 2pm Add it to the Love List"
"I came by Tu-Chi this evening for an Arlington Black Chamber of Commerce meeting.I'd been to the space a few years ago when it was still Brickhouse Lounge, but since the pandemic it appears there's a new business with a new name and a facelift! The interior has been updated, with more plush seating and nicer decor. Still has a lounge vibe, with the full bar and associated menu. When I asked to see a menu the bartender said prices had been updated and she had it on her cell phone, which she handed me to make my selection. I ordered a 2-piece catfish with fries and a Sprite (from the well, not a bottle) and my total was $15. The catfish tasted great, and I appreciated my crinkle fries were seasoned, but the price was steep.Overall, a-okay experience. Solid venue with a beautiful update, but food/drink is on the pricey side."
"I have a love/hate relationship with this place. I love the music that they play and that you can go from 01 to 09 without having to pay twice. This is the club that I go to the most and I usually have a good time. Friday is ladies night, and on Saturdays if you go in before 10 there are usually passes there so you can get in for free if you're over 21 or $5 if your under 21. If you're over 21 you also get this coupon for a free drink at the bar. The down side is that its really empty until around 11:30. After that it gets really packed, to the point where you can't dance with out bumping into someone especially when they play huapangos and norteñas. If you get tired of mexican music they do also have this little club inside called avalon where they play hiphop, reggeton, merengue, salsa, bachata, cumbias etc. They did remodel the front part of the womens restroom, but the actual bathroom stalls are still crappy. I don't usually buy drinks ,but when I do I pay 5-$9 depending on the drink. I do recommend coming here if you want to dance to mexican music, and if you don't like it being packed I recommend coming on a friday."
"Located in the heart of the Stockyards, White Elephant Saloon almost feels like a rite of passage for nightlife seekers in this part of Fort Worth. It's got a classic Texas feel to it, complete with extensive cowboy hat decor, reminiscent of a dive bar but carry that nostalgic Stockyards theme so well. Come with good company and make it a fun evening. It doesn't look that big, but trust that the place is deceivingly spacious. My group and I had zero problems finding seating for the dozen of us and I appreciate that it was fairly well ventilated and not too crowded on a weekend night. The place definitely smelled old, which was surprisingly not an issue in the bathrooms (#2) and I loved the elephant decor pieces that were practically glowing from their display case. Bartenders are a tad slow, mainly because there isn't enough staff to handle the crowds at the bar. (#3) With enough patience the bartenders found me but I could see this being an issue if the place was more crowded. Drink prices are surprisingly affordable for an area so touristy, but I think that's part of the charm. There is also billiards and shuffleboard for anyone looking to play games and countless articles on display about the history of this place. There's apparently food as well, which I'll hopefully try during my next visit.__________(#1) Which would include me. Me and my big ol rancho cucamonga ass cowboy hat. (#2) Mainly because it smelled worse. .(#3) The story of every nightlife establishment."
"This is based on bar only. The art part closes early. The host was nice helped us to seats. Bartenders are super nice and helpful Very approachable. They basically serve the bar area like waiters and waitresses. Go to each table for drinks and close out checks. A lot of work for a bartender. Luckily the bar area isn't big. But with all that they do the still will be really helpful. Great staff overall."
"I finally got to check The Loft out. Wasn't quite sure what I was expecting given that it's above the Palladium, which is quite large. The Loft is fairly small. Think I heard it holds about 400 people. There's a bar in the back, and a bar to the side of the stage, so it was pretty easy to get a drink at all times (important!). I can't really comment about the sound because the Buzzcocks played LOUD, but I enjoyed it, even when I went deaf. The opening band wasn't really my cup of tea, so we all went out to the patio. A huge patio at that. It was fun looking at the Dallas skyline and watching the hoochie mama's below going to the Pittpull concert. Hello silicone, but I digress.I didn't really mind paying $4.50 for weak cocktails, or $4 for Shiner, even when it was poured in a plastic cup. The bathroom attendant was so unnecessary, though. Is she always there? There are only two bathroom sinks, and we were at a punk show ferfucksake.Any who. I felt the venue was solid for what it does, and the fact that I was able to get so close to punk legends sealed the deal."
"This is my 2nd time going to this place. It's a hilarious place to check out. There signature Cocktails are fun. Yoo Hoo yehaw is the definitly my favorite. Please have have your expectations of what you are going here for. This is a trailer park dive bar. They do have karaoke during the day. I definitely recommend checking this place out. Enjoy yourself as it's a gem."
"Great rodeo and venue. All seers are good. 2 and 1/2 hour show . Decent food concessions. Nice venue. Enjoyed our first rodeo."
"We always stop here every time we come to the stockyards. Disclaimer: This bar is nothing fancy..you've been warned. They have great prices.Went last night and for 2 old fashioned and a High noon we paid about $25...that's usually the price of one drink when we hang out in Dallas. Emma, the bartender, is always really nice. I think it's definitely a Stockyard must stop."
"We had a great time here. It's casual and easy going. Plenty of room and decent food for a bar. Go enjoy."
"Having moved back to Dallas from living in Austin for many years, I had always missed going to a quirky, cozy divey-feeling bar or restaurant. The moment we walked in the decor really catches your eye and there is a small stage on the right. The bar has cute light fixtures over it and there are coin pool tables with pink and purple felt. The seating varies from sofas to chairs to bar stools inside. Outside they have a patio that extends beyond what you might expect. In other words it is massive! There is also another stage out there and the ambience is very cool. It almost feels like a brewery with tons of picnic table seating and open air for the smokers who want to smoke and socialize. The service was great, the drink selection was good, and the inside/outside hang out space was really just the best. The only downside that I can think of for this place is maybe that they don't have that much parking space? I mean that's me trying hard to come up with some flaw about this place! Come check them out, period. You won't regret it!"
