"Food and drink was outstanding. I did not take enough pics....got pulled into conversation and drinks. The atmosphere was vibrant and the staff was attentive and answered all of our questions.Really very good experience all around. Absolutely will be back!"
"Hero by HG is a sports bar that benefits from nailing the first rule of real estate: location, location, location. Located right outside the American Airlines Center at PNC Plaza across from the statue of Dirk, Hero is a great place to go before and during a Dallas Mavericks or Stars Game.My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return)Atmosphere - On game day (only time I've been), the atmosphere is electric. Fans are outside the plaza, inside the restaurant, and the doors are open to welcome you in. Inside is a sports fan's paradise. There are a plethora of flat screen TVs everywhere, tons of seating (booth/table/bar), and a cool bar with a video board that wraps around it 360 degrees. 1 Star.Service - I arrived early 5:30 (game at 7:30), and while they weren't busy, they were slow. As gametime grew closer, Hero filled up and service was even slower. The staff was super nice, just slow. 1/2 Star.Food - It's a sports bar with sports bar food. We started with the Super Bowl Nachos with ground beef. The huge portion was easily sharable within my party of three. There were generous portions of everything. But in the end, it was still just nachos. I went with the chicken strips, which were very good. The strips were a big size, were hot and juicy, and came with tasty tater tots. The tots were excellent. Not greasy, crisp on the outside and piping hot on the inside. The tots were the hit of my meal. The only negative was the pricing. There's a cost to the location (and inflation). Our meal was $90 for nachos, two sandwiches, and my chicken strips. Still - I was very satisfied with my meal. 1 1/2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I wouldn't return for the food, but I would return for the atmosphere and location. Hero is right next to Dirk, the AAC, and is a great place to go if you want to soak in a full game day. 1 Star."

"Came here on a whim with a visiting friend and absolutely enjoyed my experience, although I wish we had better seating it didn't take away from the beauty of this place. The food was fresh and made to order, absolutely delicious and my drink was okay but not to much to mention. I would definitely come back, the hostess mentioned a wonderful brunch I would love to try."
"This is one of our favorite work/ Brunch spot locations The food is always amazing, I'm always greeted by a friendly smile with impeccable service .the staff is extremely accommodating, I love to go for brunch take my laptop and work .. I love the atmosphere. It's very cozy dim lighting, great vibe...and great pool view ..As a vegetarian finding a restaurant that caters to my dietary needs without compromising on taste is very important to me. Rather you're a devoted vegetarian or just seeking a really nice exceptional dining experience. Dragonfly is a must visit destination. It is located at the bottom level of the Zaza hotel in Dallas Texas. Try them out... I have below some of me and my sweetie lite brunch fav's Enjoy ..and Fyi there crispy Brussels sprouts & impossible. Burger is also amazing... once again I thank God I have a great relationship with the gym"
"Joseph was the best waiter! He was so prompt and on top of it as soon as we sat down, he greeted us with Waters a menu and gave us a few minutes to look over the drink . We ordered the credo in Cuba and Jim, James, Paul & Tyrone. Both cocktails were fantastic and we will absolutely be back hopefully as hotel guests the ambience was a 1970s vibe."
"Great service! Food was avg!Probably should have gotten a steak, but alas Shrimp n Grits avg, spinach and artichoke dip bland not good, wedge salad was great and the bread was good too."
"What an wonderful place and amazing food. Jon was our server and five stars for Jon, the management and, that chefs. Great atmosphere, too."
"I see a lot of mixed comments. I guess some people are never happy with anything. The Chips were light and crisp, and had a good flavor.Despite other comments, I thought the Salsa was good.(I make my own, and I'm very picky about it)Dropping off a Salsa Dispenser at your table is very handy.Nothing worse than running out in between server visits to your table.I had a side of Guac that was excellent.Ordered the Vaquero Tacos. They came with lots of meat, which was mid-rare, perfectly seasoned, and juicy. Seems like juicy is not a comment you would expect to see for Tacos, but I did notice it on every bite. The service was good. Came to the table just enough, but not every 3 minutes interrupting you while you are trying to eat.Not a fancy place, but a nice big place.Exactly what you would expect for an old style Tex-Mex Restaurant. There is a nice Bar on one side.Lots of Outside Seating, and what looks like maybe some segregated seating for a Party, or a Business Function.Big parking lot, plenty of room, and easy to get in and out of."
"Having been here a few times within the past year, I am very impressed with Kessaku. My first visit was following an awesome dinner at Monarch (one floor below); a friend and I stepped up here for post dinner cocktails. Considering it is a lounge, the vibe was energetic without being club-like and the amazing cocktails only added to that vibe. Add to that, are the amazing cityscape views. While there is window seating available, do not fret if those seats are taken as there is a space that wraps around the building which provide excellent views of the downtown and the surrounding areas. On this visit, we noticed they also have a nice selection of sushi and sashmi to accompany the various cocktails but since we had just dined, we skipped that part on this visit. Since my initial visit, I have returned for some of the Saturday afternoon events hosted at Kessaku which have been lots of fun. In addition to the fun times, these events have included an array of cocktails along with small bites; some directly from the Kessaku menu and others customized for the event. The food for the events (usually 3-4 courses) is always fresh and flavorful. The cocktails are tasty and always compliment the entrée. I highly recommend checking out their events! The staff has been phenomenal on all my visits. The servers do an excellent job of clearing plates, refilling water glasses, etc. and they do by being just visible enough. As for the bartenders, they do an awesome job creating some tasty beverages and do it while keeping wait times down. Kudos to them!!Kessaku is located downtown on the 50th floor of The National which also houses Monarch. Parking options included street parking, nearby garages along with valet which is shared with the other businesses in the building (Thompson Hotel, Monarch, etc)I really like Kessaku and look forward to future visits."
"My friend and her fiancée got a table for NYE and invited me and my fiancée! So this review may be a bit biased bc we received a lot of free items! Walking in security was a bit rude but the interaction lasted less than 2 min. We skipped paying to get in and was seated with my friends. The place was packed but service was good despite the crowd. We received free champagne, enjoyed hookah, and enjoyed the music. If you like Caribbean food and music, it's definitely the place to be."

Eric R.'s parents treated us to a delicious meal here the night before my birthday. I made reservations a few weeks in advance since I have waited years to eat here. Tei-An is one of my favorite restaurants of all time, so I knew its sister would be just as amazing. Our server Zoe was very kind and helpful throughout the meal. I ordered Asahi on draft, Eric R. got hot green tea, and his mom ordered unfiltered nigori sake (she wanted sweet sake, but did not end up liking the idea of "milky sweet"). I tasted the sake and thought it was nice and smooth. His parents started with fried oysters, and Eric R. and I got the baby yellowtail carpaccio. We shared assorted vegetable tempura next, which had purple sweet potato, green beans, maitake mushrooms, and shishito peppers. Next we had the beef on hot rock where we each cooked slices of beef. That was fun and interactive. I ordered the octopus leg robata imagining it would be on a stick like we had in Japan, but it was actually sliced very thinly and served with yuzu kosho. I liked this a lot because the slices were tender and easy to chew but had a strong grilled flavor. I had never had octopus prepared like this before. Eric R. and his parents shared the baby back ribs since I do not eat pork. They seemed very tender.I ordered the yaki onigiri with yuzu kosho and shared that with Eric R. and his mom. It was a flavorful grilled rice ball with yuzu kosho served with daikon and cucumber pickles topped with bonito flakes. Our sushi course came last. I enjoyed Hokkaido uni gunkan and Spanish mackerel nigiri. Eric R. and his mom had Hokkaido scallop nigiri. We shared three rolls: negi toro maki, spicy tuna maki, and rainbow roll with real crab. The negi toro was soooooo fatty and delicious! This was a very delicious and special meal. Itadakimasu!

This restaurant at Hotel ZaZa (fantastic little boutique hotel) is truly cozy and chic. The prices are up there, the menu is small but balanced, and the vibe is artsy-modern-southwestern with white tablecloths and $20 cocktails. Our service was absolutely stellar (thank you, Ernesto) and the dishes we ordered ranged from good to great. Here's what we had and what I thought about it all:Garlic fries: thinly cut, crispy, garlicky. Some a little more soggy than others but overall very inviting and crunchy, you just wanna grab them all. Deviled egg trio: You get 2 each of these 3 styles: prosciutto, caviar, and "like mama made" which is literally just egg filling with a little paprika. Hahah. But that is like so many moms make... yum. The crispy prosciutto was delicious of course and the caviar made for nice little salty, briney bursts in my mouth. Caesar salad: They gave us gluten free croutons! This is a chopped Caesar salad with plenty of tangy dressing and Parmesan. 6 oz prime filet: cooked perfectly to order with a really nice sear. I love that salt-and-peppery, charred, crisp crust on a filet. Served with asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. The potatoes were a bit gritty but the asparagus was really flavorful with a great snap. Before leaving we each ordered an iced latte that Ernesto made us himself with oat milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. So good.. I think an iced coffee makes for a perfect dessert. I 100% look forward to returning. The drinks might cost a fortune but I suppose that's just boutique hotel prices in Dallas these days. The food doesn't seem as costly.. think $12 crispy Brussel sprouts, a $17 cheeseburger, $24 crispy buttermilk fried chicken. Next time I'm definitely going for the $24 blue crab and gulf shrimp aguachile ceviche and a $20 espresso martini!

Amazing! We've eaten at Eighteen Ninety a number of times. Each time has been fabulous and tonight was no different. Three of us ate here on a Friday night at 5:30 ahead of a concert nearby at the Granbury Opera House. Once seated, our server, Kendall, was there with water and took our drink order. Kendall was super pleasant and very knowledgeable about the dishes. We ordered the Escargot appetizer and at Kendall's suggestion, we added the lump crab meat. Wow, what a great appetizer. Our pre-dinner cocktails were great too. I had their Old Fashioned. Always real good and my wife had a Cosmopolitan - also tasty. My son had the Potato Leek Soup and the Shrimp and Grits and he said they were both fabulous. My wife and shared the Wedge Salad and the Beef Filet. They offer two types of plate sharing. We opted for the version that allows each of us to get 2 full sides. They even offer to have each of our portion of the filet to be cooked differently. The salad, steak and sides were great. With the appetizer and salad, we didn't finish our steak or sides, but they're going to make a nice snack, breakfast or lunch at home.Of course, we had to shop at the Eighteen Ninety store where we replenished some Premium A White Balsamic vinegar, some Salt-Free Garlic and Herb seasoning, and some Garlic Finishing Salt.Looking forward to our next visit to Eighteen Ninety in Granbury.

Food is always amazing here! There's several areas to sit- one is fine dining, one is in between, and one is a pub/karaoke and patio. Live music on weekend evenings makes this a very special place to my family and I. I almost always try one of the new specials and this time was no different. I forget the name but it's essentially a pan grilled chicken breast in a lemon herb butter with spaghetti underneath. Very yummy! The calzones are huge and so is the pizza- I recommend trying a pizza with their meatballs.

"I used to love the Statler and Waterproof, but commmmme onnnn... Showed up with friends expecting Bourbon and Banter + Waterproof. I overheard the bell staff up front telling people how to get to B&B but even staff apparently didn't know it was closed for a private event.Went up to Waterproof instead. It was a little busy but not crazy. However, they only had one cocktail server for the whole place! They had these snowglobe things outside for $300 F&B minimum which is fine but they also were pretty light on the outdoor seating and had most of it closed off to keep people inside. It was slightly cold but a great night to be out there with heaters. We found some seats inside but it took a full 15 minutes to flag someone down to get an order taken. We were never offered menus so ordered from the cocktail menus on Waterproof's website. Server said they are out of date and there's a special menu now so she had to navigate us to that and we started over. The drinks were delicious and server was friendly. No complaints on those fronts. And I suppose the view is worth the $15 drinks, which I know to expect around here. However, there's something very cheapening about the experience to be served those things in plastic. Two of our drinks came in highball and martini glasses that were plastic but did look nice. The other two were served in straight up plastic cups, the same as the cups they have out at the water station. That was very surprising.Side notes: there are ornaments on the table and little decorations that are supposed to light up, but the batteries are dead in them and probably not being replaced. The DJ was great. He could have been somewhere much better than this.Anyway, I guess I'll keep coming here for the view and the ambiance but the place gives a definite feel of not delivering on the luxurious experience that I used to see here. Not a huge problem but just falls short of the standards Statler set for itself. If this were somewhere else and it hasn't been $80 for 1 round of drinks it could have been a 3-star experience. There are small customer experience enhancements that could really move the needle here. Menus on tables or available when you walk in, since there was no host(ess). Even a QR code to scan. Info on the website about the outdoor seating situation. Redirect the cocktail menu to the seasonal menu if it's not in service now so people don't try to order from it. Maybe a second cocktail server on a weekend evening. Think from our perspective as customers..."
"First timer here and it won't be my last! The hostess and servers were informative and attentive! The vibe is a great mix of hype, eclectic, sexy and energetic! I ordered a platter which included a nice mix of tastes from the menu. You can also order hookahs for your table There is also belly dancing but after 8 pm. If you are in the Dallas area, a true gem to experience!Note: Reservations are 2 hour max...but food comes out fast!My only negative experience was interaction with the parking attendants when leaving. When I arrived there was no one to park me, so I paid to park via parking lot machine. Upon return to my vehicle, an attendant appeared yelling at me to pay him 20 bucks. After taking a pic of my license plate even after explaining that I paid...I felt truly harassed! This won't stop me from visiting BUT I will not park in the lot."
"I was walking in downtown Fort Worth, and desperately needed a cool drink and restroom break. I popped into the Omni Hotel to use their Starbucks -- and found this fantastic bar and lounge, Whisky and Rye. Aptly named, their Old Fashioned was superb. The ambiance was purely country, and the music was pure country heaven. How fortunate to have needed a restroom break and find this upscale watering hole with sports on big screens and pool table! My hubby and I came in twice for drinks during our trip. Staff was excellent, too, which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. thank you, Whiskey and Rye. My favorite alcohols."
"As I walked in, I climbed the stairs and was greeted by a lovely bar and beautiful lights, which created a great atmosphere. I ordered the pork chop based on the waitress's recommendation; she assured me it was tender and that I couldn't go wrong with my choice. However, I wasn't pleased to find dirty dishes placed next to me while I waited. When the pork chop arrived, I tasted it and found it to be decent. I wouldn't say it was super tender, as there were still some parts that required extra chewing or were difficult to chew at all. I'm also not a fan of the fruit served with it. Overall, the dish had nice flavor, but I probably wouldn't order it again. I would be interested in trying something else. I would come back because I do here that the brunch is great."
"We were in Grapevine for a conference and needed dinner. We saw the reviews for this place and decided to give it a shot. It turned out to be so good that we came back another night to try something different. The mango pecan crusted chicken salad was phenomenal as was the chicken carciofi. Not only was the presentation beautiful but the taste was wonderful as well.It is a small place inside of a hotel. So it wouldn't work for a large group. But it's a cool place with great service and excellent food."
"This was my first time at lit and there were so many things to enjoy! We came for a friends birthday and there were so many picture worthy spots here! Lit is pretty Lit, but I don't have to run back. I can take a stroll back next year. Reasons Lit was lit:Cool decorGreat foodNice staffGreat DJReasons for my slow stroll back:Very pricey for the level of service and the fact I had to see a lot of butt cheeks while eating. If you downgrade your reservation for a large party they charge a fee. The fancy dessert with the sparklers is ice cream that was frozen rock hard and couldn't be cut with regular utensils. This makes for a pretty odd birthday celebration. Overall it's a cool place. The crowd is younger and leans more female. I loved the DJ! Lit, I will see you again for a special occasion!"
"I was in the mood for Indian food on a Sunday afternoon and hubby found this place in Cedar Hill. It seems to be newer to the area as my hubby recalled some other restaurant occupying the space prior. Either way, I'm so glad we found this place. We were immediately greeted and allowed to sit where we wanted. The decor is minimal yet clean and airy. The place was pretty empty except for us and one other party of 5.We ordered chicken tikka masala, Tandoori mix (chicken, shrimp, & lamb), basmati rice, garlic naan bread and a masala chai tea. Everything was delicious. Not one bad thing to say. Definitely plan on returning to try some other items. The butter chicken is next up for me."
"Great restaurant turn salsa/bachata bar! Come here after 3-5pm and you'll see the crowd really transform! We came here from the draw of the music stayed for the food and dancing! This place get wild after 8pm so look to getting a reservation! I ordered there cubano and elote which was more than enough for 2 people. The cubano was just got off the press and smothered with meats of beef and jabon! I would really get this if you're very hungry and looking to soak something up with your enjoyable margaritas! The elote is fresh and so buttery it meats in your mouth in an instant second! What really got us was the ambiance of the either place. Come with good friends and you'll find yourself a great time! The dancing is amazing and the vibe is great with great hostess and very cool bartenders.Don't let them line fool you at front as you can be at the bar and order food until 2am!"
"View is perfectly amazing at sunset! The ambiance has the the opportunity to be a great spot! Unfortunately, the service is less than you'd expect for a date location or upscale service. Waiting more than 15 minutes for drinks seems off for a bar that wasn't even half full. Do better or change your name to downside."
"This place gets packed, so I made a reservation. It feels kinda expensive to pay 100 for a little table, but I got a table for 4 and 2 and they were great seats, right by the live band. Tables were together which I was worried about because I couldn't get in touch with anyone, but they were clean, reserved and ready when I got there. The lady at the door was super nice and guided me to my seat with no problems. If you're only going with like 1 or 2 people, you might can just come and get a seat. But I was with a group, so a reservation was our best bet. It's more of an older vibe. It was nice to have both the band play and switch out with the dj. It was a good balance and a nice mixture of old school and todays music (mostly old school which I love). Plus, the DJ took song request! Cheese sticks were good, hot and fresh. The wings were good. Friends got loaded fries, I wasn't a fan, but they liked them. Drinks weren't too strong, but still good. Ordered the Long Island, lemon drop shot and green tea shot. I heard the strawberry henney was strong. The lemon drop was a little sour. I would come back to this place. I really enjoyed it. The service was really good, even with them being super busy. They were pretty attentive. The only thing I didn't like was that they never answered the phone. So if you expect to get in touch with someone, don't.Also, it was very hot, felt like no AC was on. There were fans, but you couldn't feel anything. (And a dust mite fell on our table )Regardless, everything else turned out to be great! I will still be coming back."
"I ordered the ox tail and grits, Mimosa tower & appetizers : salmon bites & crawfish hushpuppies. My guest ordered the lamb chop and grits. Both were very good as far as flavor, temperature & portions. Our server, my apologies I cannot remember her name (in very late completing the review 1-12-25) but I think she said is from Louisiana. She was great: personality, checking on us, the bottle service vibes :) & keeping our table taken care of in general! There was a live performance that day & in general music was a vibe!!!I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back. I really enjoyed my first time here."
"Love this place! I went on a Saturday night - the vibes were amazing. I loved the live music and the DJ later on in the evening. I look forward to coming back and trying the food on my 2nd visit. I had eaten dinner prior so I was only there for drinks, but the drinks were impressive. I had a strawberry lemon drop - highly recommend. Our server was so kind and welcoming. Can't wait to go back!"
"First timer here for the live band. Most enjoyable evening I must say. We came for the live music cannot comment on the food quality since I did not order food. There is a menu featured on each table from QR code. Service was less desirable. Tonight the tables in back near the (3) televisions had to flag down their server; she was super busy with cocktail orders. She was somewhat annoyed when stopped, in my opinion saying telling our table will get your food out whenever ready. Food seems to be secondary in my opinion. My friends had to wait 45 minutes for their fried catfish, fries, and wings to arrive. The table next to our booth asked us if food always take an eternity... we were unsure since it was our first time here. Natural Chain band was fantastic! Will return for the Live bands. Come for the Live music Friday-Sunday nights 9p-12 midnight. Band breaks between sets but a great time overall. Many birthday celebrations during our visit."
"We came here on 02.23.24, curious as are many locals to see what happened to the old Tap In Lounge. This restaurant's opening had definitely generated some buzz. The service here was incredible. From the hostess to the servers and the managers - all of them treated us warmly and like family. We had expected a bit of elitism considering the classy vibe and the celebrity chef in the kitchen - but it was pure Texan hospitality. We only wanted a couple of drinks and a small bite - so we opted for espresso martinis and pork belly burnt ends. The drinks were really good and the burnt ends were incredibly delicious. The pork was tender, sweet, and savory. Every bite melted tastefully. At the end, Chef Pellegrino came out to a neighboring table and paused for a couple of pics with us - she was super friendly and very sociable. All in all this was a great first time here and we look forward to coming back for the full dining experience."
"My cousin chose this location to celebrate her birthday. It is not a place I would have chosen but the staff was really nice and the z blue Hawaiian Drink was really good.PROS*Super nice staff*Plenty of room, not crowded *Well lit*Plenty of parking *Decent wings*Really good DJCONS*No dress code so you can only imagine the butt cheeks and breast hanging out everywhere.*Food was that good. Many of the guests were complaining."
"The only reason they got 4 stars is because they are always out of Mac N cheese other than that I love their food. The Mac is somewhat my favorite because it's just different. They fry their plantains beautifully caramelized buttery and sweet. The black beans and rice are so flavorful and the jerk chicken (yummy) taste so authentic, moist and tender. I will also like to point out that after hours is a lounge and the music selection is groovy and upbeat. I really like this place"
"The worst martini I ever had is housed at this place. An extra dirty gin martini is my go-to, and as long as you have gin, olive juice, and vermouth, its pretty hard to mess up. A friend and I dipped inside of this neighborhood bar to avoid the golf ball sized hail that was coming down in Dallas (and in the month of May?!) We were promptly greeted by the young server, and she introduced herself as Breanna. Super sweet, attentive, and just overall warm. We sat down to review their menu and instantly noticed the pricing. "Gah damn, they high!" I said aloud. Ya'll, it's a very basic bar---kind of in the middle of nowhere and they want $16 for a plain burger? I think high dollar restaurant, Knife, even has a cheaper burger. I put my menu down because it was at that point, I knew I wouldn't be eating there. My friend has given up the devil's juice, so she ordered a VIRGIN mojito. The devil still has me in his grasp, so I went with my go-to, a dirty martini--extra dirty. The beverages came out roughly 10 minutes later. I knew we were going to have a problem when I saw a red coffee stirrer in my drink--and no olives. This is a sports bar---very similar to a Boomerjacks or something so I didn't trip. Ya'll, I took one sip, and it took everything in me not to spit that sh!t right back out! Oh, my goodness--it tasted like lemon juice concentrate and salted water. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. My friend tried her mojito, and it was just as bad. We didn't want to be "those" customers, so we sat there and drank the worst cocktail (in her case, "mocktail") we've ever had in our lives. It gets worse from here!!! Breanna brings out our check. $35 for the 2 drinks!!?? I was floored. The struggle martini was $15 and the NON-ALCOHOLIC mojito was $15 as well. They also charged $5 in miscellaneous beverage taxes. I told Breanna that there must be a mistake. Breanna ever-so-preciously confirmed that the price was the price. I couldn't believe it! We immediately paid and exited the bar with the quickness!! Breanna was polite so I'm giving them a 2, but NEVER AGAIN!"
