"My good friend of mine - Byron S told me about this place called - "No. 1 Plus Chicken", so Bruddah man had to check 'em out!Are ya a fan of Korean Frrrrrrried Chicken? If so, then No. 1 Plus Chicken got ya covered!Located at a small strip mall in Dallas, you'll find many other Aisan eateries, as well as a Korean supermarket at this small strip mall.As I walked into No. 1 Plus Chicken, the small little restaurant was packed with folks, so I decided to do take out & eat my grub at my hotel room.Looking over the menu, I decided to get a 10 piece chicken wings with Yangyum sauce (sweet & spicy sauce) and a side of onion rings. What can I say about the grub? The Korean Frrrrrrried Chicken wings was OUTSTANDING! Good flavor, & very meaty pieces of chicken! As for the onion rings, the serving size really surprised me, as the serving was HUGE!Service here was on point, as the clerk who took my order was friendly & had advised me that my food order would take approximately 20 minutes or so (my actual time was a lot faster).Cravin' for KFC?Give No. 1 Plus Chicken a try!Bruddah Fran gives 'em a "shaka" sign!"
"Excellent KBBQ spot for all your meaty needs. Came for lunch which is probably the best time to come since their menu offers all the meat options that you would want at 18.99$ to satisfy your cravings. They also have a very nice buffet line with various marinated meats, fried chicken, rice, noodles and bonchon dishes. I love it here and is the only place I go to for KBBQ."

"I came here for lunch and not the all-you-can-eat buffet. The food was good despite the exterior part of the building looking rough: I ordered basic Korean dishes like a classic bibimbap and a clear noodle soup. Both solidly delicious. Same with the Korean sidedishes served as an appetizer. The interior of the restaurant is huge. Looks like they have a second floor as well. And Sura was empty during weekday lunchtime. If you're looking for good Korean food and don't want to deal with the crowds at Carrollton, then I'd recommend Sura."
"This was such a unique dining experience. It is so fun to try new things! This is a great Japanese comfort food restaurant in Carrollton that is located in a shopping center with predominantly Asian restaurants. You could enjoy a different restaurant everyday in this area and it would take quite some time to exhaust them all. The decor is minimalist and very clean. The tables are pretty large and would fit multiple items or large bento boxes and not be crowded. We ordered unsweetened ice tea and it is freshly brewed which was appreciated. We started out with the Sunomono (cucumber salad with vinaigrette dressing and shredded crab.) This was such a delicious, light and refreshing appetizer that I would definitely get again. For our entrees we ordered the Unagi Ekiben containing grilled fresh water eel with Japanese style side dishes over rice. The Ekiben was served with shrimp tempura, miso soup, and side salad. I rarely eat tempura but the shrimp was absolutely delish dipped in the vinaigrette that was in the cucumber salad. Wow! It was a flavor explosion and perfectly crispy. The eel combined with the Japanese fresh pickles was an abolute umami bomb and I loved it. It was fantastic. My husband ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box and enjoyed (that tempura yam!) although the chicken was a touch dry and he said he would probably order the eel next. The menu has so many nice choices that it was difficult to make a decision! Oh well! I guess I better go again some day and try some more of Abe's delicious morsels! I highly recommend this restaurant. You can tell the owners operate with excellence."
"Had a craving for Korean food on a recent trip to Dallas so I checked Yelp and found Maht Gaek in Plano. It's located in the Ranch 99 supermarket shopping center. We arrived just before the noon lunch rich and got seated right away. They were busy throughout lunch and a constant line of customers waiting for a table. The service is fast and efficient and the food comes out fast. Only downfall is the tables are small and the four top we sat at could not hold all the dishes we ordered. BBQ pork ribs 5 stars their signature dish. Meaty grilled pork stacked on a hot plate. Oxbone soup 4.5 stars great bone broth could have had more toppings and noodles. Sautéed calamari 5 stars large portion spicy sweet. Grilled mackerel 3 stars good portions a bit dryBanchans we're good especially the eggplantService was good. Plenty of parking."
"Found this place on the Yelp search. Cute little restaurant in Arlington.Ample parking is available in front and behind the restaurant. Order at the counter and open seating at the picnic tables. The miso soup is only $1 that is self-serve. I got the Dae Bak (spicy pork), which was recommended. The meat was tasty with light spice. They do have several containers of sauces available to add to your food if you wish. The portions are large and filling. Overall, I'd recommend for a quick bite or outing with friends/family"
"Every Wednesday, Cashew's parents look for a date night away from the three monkies. I decided to give this restaurant another chance after they didn't serve us because they had a party that day, yet had their restaurant open. The place is located in a strip mall with many businesses, so parking can be an issue depending on the time you go to eat. We arrived and the place was empty. The young man is very friendly yet asks weird questions like, "Are you gonna eat?" This place has no menus, so you need to do a QR code. The bathroom is located in the back next to the kitchen. The young man suggested appetizers, and so cashew's mom asked for dumplings (5) appetizer. The dipping sauce truly helped the flavor of the dumplings, which are very small. I got the burrito and wife the chicken pieces. The burrito had a very nice mix of Korean flavor with Mexican style, and the chicken pieces had no flavor besides the dipping sauce. Cashew's mom liked the chicken pieces. The place is good and prices are adequate. The young man works hard and looks to make your stay a pleasant one, so I would recommend this place. I'm just careful. If it's full, they can't deal with large numbers."
"Delicious veggie broth ramen. Could have done without the onions or broccoli but what can ya do haha. Romantic ambiance lighting and fast service. The food here has always been excellent especially the cold honey lemon tea!"
"Great service, free kids meal, food is pretty good and huge portion. It was 80% full during Sunday dinner time"
"WHAT I ORDERED: Osam (spicy squid and pork) and Beef Soondubu PARKING: Parking lot INSIDE: Mom and Pop shop, great pictures of the food items hung on the walls, friendly staff as she took our order and called out when the food was ready. There's a rack to put your tray of dirty dishes when you're finished eating near the entrance. THE FOODS/DRINKS: The complimentary barley tea was refreshing, the osam had great flavor, not too spicy at all, but my favorite was the soondubu or tofu soup. It was rich in flavor and didn't skimp out on actual tofu and beef pieces."
"Service- Amazing. Patient, helpful & prompt staff. Food- everyone dining with me enjoyed their meal & we all picked a different entree. Was easy to get in and out during the lunch time rush. Will return if in the area. Enjoyed the covered patio, it felt great!"
"The design of this fast casual chain was really cool. The tailgates and crate doors were very cool. The food was fresh and super yummy. Got 2 pieces of tempura shrimp & the steak & shrimp hibachi. Only thing I wish they offered is a mixed tempura appetizer instead of having to order by the piece. Service was efficient."

It's becoming really hard to find good Korean Bbq in Arlington lately. The service here was ok. Nothing above and beyond. For some reason this location has changed owners/names/management at least 3 times in the past 5 years. We don't eat pork and my husband is allergic to seafood. So we usually only eat short ribs and chicken. The last time we went, it was not marinated and the meat had a tint to it. We didn't get food poisoning but we were afraid we might. We keep trying to give the establishment another chance but I think our last visit was the last chance.

This is our favorite Korean BBQ all-you-can-eat !Good amount of parking because it's in a plaza. They have French fries!!It's difficult to find an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ that also has: French fries, ginger dressing for crunchy lettuce salad, AND beef bulgogi. All our favorites. Most meats are available to grab from buffet line, so there is no waiting to get more cooking. They switch out the grill plates often. There are side items to order from a screen, such as dumplings and more edamame. Order is placed immediately from screen at table. Decor is minimal and plain. I think only half of the restaurant has BBQ tables, but all tables upstairs are available to grill. We made a reservation for late afternoon 5 people, but we went early another time and didnt need one. Thank you!!!

Husband and I were wanting to try out soba noodles so we found this little gem. We came here on a Sunday afternoon. It was decently busy. The ambiance was cute and modern. Although it was busy, there was plenty of tables still available. When you walk in, you order off a self order screen, then take your receipt and go find a table. We ordered a their zaru soba and katsu chicken. Everything came out quick. The food was delicious!

The beef short ribs are delicious! I had them as a suggestion from my wonderful waitress! The price and amount for the lunch menu was perfect. They give you refillable sides of pickled eggplant, kimchi, cucumbers, and bean sprouts. Also comes with white rice. I sat at a table in the corner and it was perfect for me. I'd return and order the hot stone soup when the weather is cooler. Drop an egg in while it's still boiling! Delish!I like that there is no TV to cause distractions. Nice to ease drop on the conversation around you. It's enlightening! People are strange creatures. They are closed on Tuesday! All other days of the week are fair game!I returned a second time and it was just as good! I'm already craving another night to try something new! This is my new favorite place. July 2024

I found this place while looking to try new cuisine! I have always wanted to try Korean food but never had anyone to go with but today was the day! The lunch menu is pretty much the same, you get a steamed rice bowl with some glass noodles, greens, pickled radish, a veggie egg roll and your choice of protein! I tried the spicy pork and my friend got the shrimp. The bowls are so cute and the presentation makes the food look !!! The bowls are made to order and fresh tasting! The spicy pork was well seasoned and went very nicely with the entire bowl! I will definitely be back!! I highly recommend!!! Come try it for yourself!

Yori is a nice restaurant in the mid-cities area. The inside of the restaurant has some really nice theming. They have an upstairs area that you can reserve for a larger group, which is a nice plus. Service was really good during our visit. We had ended up being the only ones dining in during our lunch, but they had a good number of Togo during our visit. Food was tasty and came out in a reasonable time.

"Was craving some Korean bbq and this one was closest to us while visiting Texas. The place doesn't look like much but the wait time was short and the service was excellent. Our waitress was super adorable and helped us with our orders and making sure our bowls of sides were always replenished as well as meat order. The food was delicious. The price was only $25 for all you can eat.An added bonus, they offer military discount too.Would recommend this place . Can't wait to come visit again."
"Second time coming to this location - first time I came, it was good. The food came out quickly and the ventilation was better than the last location. Unfortunately, the second time we came, we didn't get to experience it due to the hostess who was working the front. I told her we had 8 people and she looks at me and goes "we don't have any tables". I asked her how long the wait is (this was at 7:45pm and the closing time is 10:00pm), she said about an hour. We would've been okay with waiting, but I decided to ask if we split up and sit 4 and 4, would the wait be the same. She answered "we don't have any small tables either". Decided it wasn't worth talking to someone who doesn't seem interested in getting our business so we went to a different KBBQ place in Arlington. Pretty bummed cause we were looking forward to having OMI again. Hopefully the staff gets better training and not push customers away by acting like we weren't welcomed."
"My spouse and I went here for lunch on a weekday recently and had an awesome hot pot experience. We tried their signature broth and the miso broth, ordering a handful of meats that our server brought out. The most impressive part was the cold bar that was fully stocked with fresh veggies, sprouts, eggs, and a wide range of seafood items, as well as a sauce bar that must have had over a dozen different options to try. I loved that the veggie bar was self-serve because I like a lot more veggies than my spouse does, so I was able to fill up on whatever I wanted while he was cramming his face full of meats. All in all, we had a great time and would return. My only complaint was that they no longer have a reduced lunch price for their menu; it's just the same flat price for all you can eat on the shabu side or the KBBQ side."
"Excellent food. I get the bowls. You can choose between white or brown rice or noodles, a protein of your choice then veggies of your choice along with a soup. They have a good variety of sauces to add as little or much as you want. It is easily a double portion of food."
"Okay there are 5 star restaurant reviews and then there are FIVE STAR restaurant reviews. Wave Bowl is off the charts good! Everything we ordered was soooo delicious. Tons of flavor without being drenched in excessive sauces. The meat itself was perfectly cooked. We got:Bulgogi rice bowl: cooked to perfection, will be thinking of this for a whileKorean short ribs: I don't even like ribs but this was my favorite item! Seriously so flavorful!Korean spicy wings: excellent rub, unique taste!Chicken Katsu Rice Bowl: loved the fried chicken and the dipping sauce it came with Kids chicken fried rice: very tasty and the kids liked it!Best part of it is everything is HALAL! We're really missing halal Korean in California. Now that I've tried it I'm going to be craving it all the time. This spot was easily the best food spot we had in Dallas. Seriously wish we could go again but our trip was too short for that. If you're going to have just one spot in Dallas go here!!!"
"Camera did not eat first in my picture so please excuse the half eaten meat plate! Burnin 92 is an open wood fire grill concept KBBQ place! Each combo you order comes with a salad, lettuce wrap, lots of yummy banchans, an order of corn cheese, egg soufflé, and soybean soup. Service is super quick and they open until 12AM every night! Definitely a place to check out and get your KBBQ late night craving out of the way!"
"Nice laid back place. Good customer service and the food came super quick Rose Rice Cakes combo: the best on the menu. I'm glad I didn't get the spicy on because this one has the perfect amount of kick to it. I love the texture of chewy fish cakes & crispy tempura. That sauce is perfection, Wings: Soy BBQ garlic was my favorite. Seoul hot was good but not really spicyWhole squid fries: I love whole squid but the batter was too thick. Also, I'm just not used to this type of batter in general.Overall great chill vibe, would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu!"
"Wow, comfort Korean noodles that will keep you thinking about this for days! Heads up, nice clean modern restaurant, but you order at the kiosk, get your food at the counter when your number is called. Get your own water and utensils. I don't remember if we had to bus our own table. What we ordered: Signature beef bone soup: beef bone was big and tender. We requested for not so spicy soup. Noodles were so soft and chewy. Family loved this flavor. Kooksoo noodle soup: soooo yum! Soup was flavorful with just a tiny kick. Excellent balance of flavors. And the middles were so chewy and soft. Beef rice: flavorful beef (maybe blackbean flavor) and garlic. Again, very balanced. So good with rice. We finished everything then remembered Mike Chen had the stir fry noodle. We weren't hungry anymore but wanted to try it...so we did. Swoon, so so good! Stir fry noodle: a saucy stir fry noodle. Similar to the kooksoo noodle, but not soupy. This was my favorite. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in the area."
"I've been here 3 times so far for lunch and all my orders have been to go. Placing an order is very easy, I prefer to call and they usually have it ready within 5-10 minutes which works great. I love teriyaki but not many places offer this in DFW.So far I have only tried the chicken teriyaki plate and spicy chicken teriyaki plate but it has been consistence and overall good in terms of flavor and taste. Only downside I've experienced is that the spicy chicken teriyaki isn't spicy at all. It tastes the same as the regular chicken teriyaki. I would save the extra dollar and just opt for some sriracha on the side or something. All condiments are self service and everyone working there is very friendly. I would recommend checking this out if you're looking for a new teriyaki spot"
"Not Asian fast food but Asian food FAST!!!And WOW what a menu! They have everything-Rolls, Bowls and wok dishes. Even mochi for dessert. Their drink menu is also very extensive from slush & smoothies to every kind of tea ( milk , matcha, Thai, Taro...) The service is friendly and fast. They also have a drive thru and online ordering"
"Dined here for the first time tonight and we enjoyed our meal - and will likely return! It's nice to finally have a good Korean place in Frisco that isn't KBBQ or AYCE This place reminded me a lot of BCD House but less options and much closer! We ordered the bulgogi entree, galbi combo with soontofu, japchae and steamed egg. Their soontofu was so flavorful and the tofu, wow, literally silkier than some of the other places I've had soontofu at. Service was great; they came around and checked on us a few times. Ordering was easy and the food came out in an orderly time. We'll be back!"
"My husband and I came here during lunch when the City of Richardson was holding its Lunar New Year's festival in the Chinatown parking lot. The place was very busy. Despite this, the woman in charge was very kind, let us know how long we might have to wait (about 15 minutes), and then seated us promptly. Food is delicious! We shared a meal. We ordered the combo beef bulgogi and soft tofu soup. You get to choose the type of soft tofu soup, so we selected vegetables. We were asked what level of spiciness we wanted on a scale of 1-3. I selected 2. It wasn't spicy for me, but my husband said it was a bit too spicy for him. The soup is served in a hot stone bowl, so it stays very hot throughout the entire meal. A raw egg is provided for you to crack and place in your soup to cook and mix in as you wish. The Beef Bulgogi is sweet and comes with lots of white cooked onions. A bowl of rice is provided on the side along with an assortment of pickled or marinated vegetables like kimchi and cucumbers. I wasn't able to identify all of the items. They are served cold, but all were appetizing. There is a call button near each table. We were able to press the button to get our waitstaff's attention. This was handy because they forgot to bring our cokes and glasses. We had a pitcher of water at our table the entire time. The restaurant is quite big with large private booths. There are a few televisions on the wall showing videos of Korean pop-stars performing. The sound was muted and no captions were on, but it was still amusing to see the costumes and choreography. Other traditional items adorned the walls like fans and lanterns. It's a very casual restaurant and family friendly with lots of high chairs for kids and tables large enough for groups. We would like to return to sample other items on the menu and try the place when it isn't as crowded and busy."
"Best wings in texas!!Been con in my here for years and the food it always fresh, the fries are always perfectly cooked."
"Kimchee fries! Kimchee fries! There used to be a food truck in Dallas that served Kimchee fries. Alas, they are no more, and I have been subjected to making my own kimchee fries at home. I was super excited to see this restaurant in Mansfield and made an effort to swing by for lunch one day. It is located in a shopping center, with plenty of parking, which I always appreciate! The fries were made to order, and they were delicious. The next time I go back, I plan on asking the lady that made them to chop up the kimchee smaller pieces so that it isn't so overwhelming. The bulgogi meat was delicious."
"Delicious and great service on this cold gray dayYou hit the door with beautiful smell of searing meat Colin was our server and was very prompt and very good as well as coverage from other servers nearby for our group of eight or nine Easy to get plenty of food quickly tasty and fresh"
"I've only had two other Korean fried chicken spots . This place is pretty good. I othered the drumstick meal. The chicken was sweet and crispy . I enjoyed it. The seasoned fries were pretty good with parmesan cheese. You get a lot of food for the price . My only gripe is the crazy issues with parking in the area . It's next to Addison Improv, which isn't convenient. I would go back however when events aren't going on. Service was good but I ordered through Uber Eats for pickup . Clean restaurant."
"Customer service was good. The place was nice and clean. The rib tips were flavorful but a little chewy. The shrimp was delicious. The rice tasted really good. The steamed vegetables were good, except for the peas, and the egg roll was excellent. I recommend this establishment."
"Everything here is AMAZING! The beef pancake, the spicy beef noodle soup and pork belly are a must!!!!Great service and wonderful environment!"
"Pretty good little lunch spot in a fairly industrial area. Burgers are a nice size, plenty of options for topping and a condiment bar. No frills decor with reasonable prices and tasty."
"My friend took me here for lunch today and what a great place! The chicken is some of the best Korean chicken I have ever had - every bite is filled with crunch and flavor. The kimchi is a perfect level of sour and the kimchi fries were so good, I almost ate the whole thing.Definitely will be returning!!"
"Perfect bowl of warmth for a blustery day.Mala obsession has infected many Asian countries, and this Korean mala soup shop is evidence of that globalization. Pixiu has a station of ingredients that are more suited for a Korean palette, charged by weight, served in a bubbling bowl of addictive southern Chinese mala (numb spicy) soup. You can pick how much you want to eat/spend and how spicy your soup is. Grab a bowl and fill it with your favorite veggies (My favorites are sweet napa cabbage and peppery crown daisy), tofu, fish balls, noodles, shrimp, rice cake, etc. Choose your meat when you bring your bowl to the counter.Even if I finish all the goodies inside, I always take the soup to go--it easily makes for another one or two meals if you just chuck it in a pot with more veggies, tofu, thin hotpot meat slices, and noodles!"
"I got a build your own bowl and it was really easy to order. The cashier was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. It was pretty empty for a Saturday night which was nice because it was quiet inside. Food was 10/10 and I recommend getting the hot bowl because it makes the rice crispy at the bottom. I love the sides bar and I got seaweed salad and miso soup. For the price, this place is amazing!"
"I stopped in to pick up our online order. It wasn't ready but I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind waiting. Everything came out fresh and accurate. This was our third or fourth visit, and it never disappoints. The chicken pieces are generously sized and everything is so flavorful. We've tried almost everything on the menu and everything is really good. There is a bibimbap bowl that doesn't have a lot of flavor but we like most everything else. On this recent visit we tried the Seoul Platter, the pick three option with the strips, potstickers and donuts. We've tried all the wing flavors too, our favs are spicy and soy garlic. It can get a little pricy, but overall we really enjoy it!"
