"I have a love and hate relationship with this spot. Sometimes I can never figure out the charges on my card. I see the right amount and then there's another one for $1 which honestly... it's only a $1 but that is never ok.The bar is in a "shady" part of Fort Worth and I cannot bring myself to get a drink here by myself. Always with a group or somebody else to keep tabs on each other. Beers are cold and cheap and service is always with a smile. This is what you may call a "my neighborhood bar" if you live in the area. It's pretty far to call it that for me."

"I've been here twice (both on Wednesday for trivia...) and both visits were vastly different. I don't have to tell you that it was an Irish themed bar and it's vibe was giving dive-bar. The trivia was the same, and so was the food...maybe. The service was definitely different. The first visit it was pretty busy but the server was able to manage and I believe she was the only one for the whole place. The second time was significantly worse and it was substantially less patrons. Homegirl was slow and spent a lot of time sitting with the patrons chatting. Ok so the food...the first visit I had wings and fries and the second I had the burger sliders. Typical bar food and it wasn't bad but I wasn't wow'd either. The fries and mozzarella sticks were hot and fresh, so that was nice. The slider buns were Kings Hawaiian and toasted (a little too toasted because they were slightly burnt)."

There are a lot of seating options and TVs that show a variety of sports at the same time: football, baseball, soccer, and some sports commentary.One can't escape the smoke smell.Overall had a good experience."

"We were really skeptical at first but we're glad we picked the place. We weren't there for the atmosphere so I cant say much but the food was amazing!! We ordered the crispy egg fish and Thai hotpot. Thai hotpot was actually one of the best hotpot we've had in the DFW. Our server was extremely nice and kept checking on us to see if we need more condiments or refill. Highly recommend!! Don't be scared just because it's a hole in the wall place."

"This place is a total dive and time warp into the 70s. It's more of a place where locals like to go, however they do have live music every now and then and are trying to incorporate it more. The bartender has a smile on her face the entire night I was there and I was in one of the bands playing this particular night. They have a small stage setup and some house speakers that point in one direction, so if you're along the side of the bar, you probably wont be able to hear the vocals very well. The parking lot seems a little sketch, but they do have security cameras around the bar which you can monitor from the inside. One thing that does suck is, this place is "cash only" however when you start a tab, they still take your credit card, I guess as a place holder(?) but it can be confusing to think they they do. Make sure if you do come here you got some money on your or else I heard there's an ATM. When I first got here earlier in the night, it seemed like mainly a place for the locals to go in this super smokey bar, so just another thing to keep in mind when you come here. However they did have a free spread of hotdogs and other miscellaneous food things."

"Reasonable prices and great pub food at the new location.I was wonderfully surprised at the new location. They didn't change much from Fred's (same lay out and furniture), but the murals are a work of art! Good:Parking is better in the area. Just watch traffic if parking around the circle. Prices are very reasonable for this area. It tends to be a little higher, but they were not too bad.The french fries - I'll go back just for these babies. They were crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. Heaven!Not great:It's a bar/pub. The food is really good for pub grub. They are short on help (July 2021)Keep your expectations in check for this pub and you'll do well here for a meal and a beer."

"This place is amazing! It is the arcade of arcades, with lights flashing and bells ringing, as well as all the machines making their noises. Though it is many things in addition to an arcade, the ambiance is straight arcade!You can bowl here, play pool, play ping pong, sing karaoke, bowl, and of course eat too!The service was great. I had problem with a couple machines and there was always somebody right there to help. In fact, each section had at least 1 to 2 employees there.If you enjoy arcades I recommend you check this place out!"

"Ok, so lemme say that this is a true gem. Drink prices are amazing and food is really good. Dawn, the bartender, is witty and a little snarky...which I love. She made our first experience here really fun. Came into town for Rangers/Astros games and we have all agreed to call this place home base. Miller Lite for 2.50? Yes please. And it's ice cold. Shots are cheaper than anywhere closer to the ballpark. Since previous reviews, there is no more indoor smoking so the place is not gonna leave you smelling like your grandpa. But they do have a designated smoking area outside. Pool tables, steel and plastic tip darts, Golden Tee, shuffleboard, and karaoke are here as well. All in all, great experience and will likely come here before every game."

"In Dallas for the Thanksgiving game.. found this bar on Maps, looking for a dive karaoke bar to enjoy a few drinks. Found the Chuggin Monk, chill atmosphere, nice jams on jukebox. Jacqueline and Angie behind the bar, did a great job of keeping my glass full, conversation when needed great skills here. No karaoke but it is a Wednesday and raining all in all yes this bar gets my recommendation."

"I came into town with friends and went to this specific Round 1 for the crane machines. Their prizes are much better at this location than Grapevine. The employees are very helpful and show me how to win certain prizes or reset the prizes for me when needed.My favorite game to play here is Angry Birds slot machine since it's easy to win tickets from there. The prices of the machines are decently priced. I came out winning so many plushies between my friends and I. I will say some crane machines are hard and definitely required watching how to win before trying. The plushies are so soft and cute, it was very hard to stop playing. I recommend coming here on a date or with friends to show off your skills!"

"Oh, Marina's. I went here with my sister and our friend Tina at around 9:30pm on a Saturday night, and we were lucky to find a table. It was crowded when we arrived and got busier as the night went on. Karaoke every single night?? Wow. And smoking? You'll definitely smell like a smokey bar after you leave here. Not necessarily my favorite kind of atmosphere but we ended up having a good time for girls night. The girls ordered cheese fries and they looked delicious -- crisp fries covered in gooey nacho cheese and plenty of chives, served super hot. They have a pretty decent menu here, typical bar foods and sandwiches. I wouldn't recommend ordering any speciality drinks, this is really a very divey spot and it's so busy at the bar. Just grab a beer or a vodka soda and then fade away into the crowd and enjoy the music. Maybe you'll be like me and go on a night when everyone who's singing is a choir teacher or involved in the music world and they all sound really good and they're all singing Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey so you're too scared to go up and sing Jewel! Or maybe you'll go on a night when there's more amateurs in the crowd, I don't know. I haven't been often enough to know which night brings in which crowd! But all the people were friendly and you get that neighborhood bar kind of feeling."

"If there were a 4.5 Star option, this would be it.I had no clue that this place existed, though I was aware of the Golden Nugget that existed here before it. A recent trip to Hooligan's brought a card for the March 9th Artisan Fair to my attention, and I found myself interested and present on 3.9.2019.The parking lot is massive. On this day it was quite full. There was a pretty decent Artisan Fair set up ($10 entry fee) and an outdoor band. As the outdoor band finished, an indoor band would begin, and it was actually very well thought out. I am not sure that they do this alternating indoor/outdoor thing all of the time, but it was very cool. Also, the genres of each indoor and outdoor band were quite different.They have a fair "full bar" selection. However, my reason for the 1 star subtraction is that, I would think in my humble opinion, that a "drafthouse" should:1) Offer a broader variety of draft beer2) Offer a larger size of draft beer than 10 ozI understand an 8oz or 10oz pour of a Stout, but I am talking 10oz pour of Michelob Ultra. I imagine that the bartenders know this, as they immediately default to bottles when one orders a beer. I think the most perplexing thing is that they actually have solo cups, but they do not use them for beers or mixed drinks, it seems.The inside is actually really cool. And while they do not offer free pool as the previous reviewer stated, it is only .75 a game, and the equipment is quality. They also offer electronic gaming, darts, shuffleboard, Big Game Hunter, and have the Breathalyzer machine too. A roll of quarters would offer hours of fun.The place was vibrant. Once again, I cannot say that it was or was not due to the event, but I enjoyed the friendly company of them all. I will absolutely return, and soon. I would suggest it to any of my fellow Yelpers alike. I certainly hope that they add some size to these beers, but regardless, a great little stop."

"Little dive bar located between Glenn Heights and Cedar Hill. I have only visited a few times to meet friends as it's close to my home in Ovilla. It has its own group of regulars who are extremely friendly. On certain Sundays it host a lot of motorcycle fund raisers and rallies. It gets really packed. They have live music on Wednesdays. Karaoke every Thursday and Saturday. And usually a cool band Friday evenings. The owners are very gracious and inviting. The drinks are good and well priced. My only advice, leave before closing time or make sure you have a designated driver. It's payday for the police force in Ovilla, Cedar Hill, and Glenn Heights. Better yet, don't drink and drive and text!!!"
