Andrea A. "In Dallas for the Thanksgiving game.. found this bar on Maps, looking for a dive karaoke bar to enjoy a few drinks. Found the Chuggin Monk, chill atmosphere, nice jams on jukebox. Jacqueline and Angie behind the bar, did a great job of keeping my glass full, conversation when needed great skills here. No karaoke but it is a Wednesday and raining all in all yes this bar gets my recommendation."

Teka B. "I've been here twice (both on Wednesday for trivia...) and both visits were vastly different. I don't have to tell you that it was an Irish themed bar and it's vibe was giving dive-bar. The trivia was the same, and so was the food...maybe. The service was definitely different. The first visit it was pretty busy but the server was able to manage and I believe she was the only one for the whole place. The second time was significantly worse and it was substantially less patrons. Homegirl was slow and spent a lot of time sitting with the patrons chatting. Ok so the food...the first visit I had wings and fries and the second I had the burger sliders. Typical bar food and it wasn't bad but I wasn't wow'd either. The fries and mozzarella sticks were hot and fresh, so that was nice. The slider buns were Kings Hawaiian and toasted (a little too toasted because they were slightly burnt)."

Michelle B. "One of the most moist and flavorful burgers I've had in a long time!First time here. The smell of cigarette smoke was pretty strong and at one point needed to find a new seat. There are a lot of seating options and TVs that show a variety of sports at the same time: football, baseball, soccer, and some sports commentary.One can't escape the smoke smell.Overall had a good experience."

Greatest bar around. I come here whenever I can. Only downside it's a Chicago Bears bar and a Dallas Cowboys bar haha but it's all in good fun. I recommend the Cuban sandwich. Service is always fantastic. Beer is always cold :) go Cowboys!

Ive always wanted to know what its like in here!My friend, Jess was looking forsomething to do on a Saturday evening. I suggested we check out A Great Notion since, Ive heard a lot about it. Its actually a Karokee Pub!This is a very small pub with no smoking. Thank you, Jesus! If your a smoker you can smoke outside. As you walk in to the left, there looks like their was a place for a payphone. It is super dark in there. Theres a steep step in the entrance so watch your step! Everyone here keeps to themselves. Its a really mature crowd. The Karookee was Krunk. The Hostess had a great voice and she was confident in her ability to sing. There was a bag that you walk up too and pick out a song, totally random. You had no idea what song or Genre you would be singing! Everything from Guns n Roses to Country! The words on the screen are on the screen so you can sing a long. Yippee! Theres also a tv so you can watch the Rangers play. Goo Rangers!If you like to play pool. Theres a pool table available. Do you like to play darts? You can play darts there too.I forgot to mention this place is right next to a Laundromat. You can hangout at this place if you wanna take a break from your laundry. You will have to check out this litte Karoke Pub sometime.

If you want authentic, this is the place to go. Their food is absolutely delicious and everyone has been friendly each time I've come. The restaurant is always clean and staff is attentive. However, occasionally I run into a language barrier issue as most staff primarily know Spanish and my Spanish is awful. Other than this I have no complaints and enjoy coming here.

We ordered the crispy egg fish and Thai hotpot. Thai hotpot was actually one of the best hotpot we've had in the DFW. Our server was extremely nice and kept checking on us to see if we need more condiments or refill. Highly recommend!! Don't be scared just because it's a hole in the wall place."
