Jen H. "It's been a minute since I've had good Indian food, and this restaurant did not disappoint. Service was a bit on the slower side, but the servers were friendly and welcoming. My favorite part of the ambiance was the battery-powered candle at the center of the table. It added to the vibes of the somewhat dimly-lit interior. We ordered a variety of appetizers that were all so delicious and flavorful: seekh kabob, aloo tikki chaat, paneer pakoras, and samosa. Besides the samosa, I had never tried any of the other items before, but I loved every single bite of them.I got the chicken tikka masala for my main entree, and it was one of the best tikka masala I have ever eaten. The chicken was super tender, and the sauce was the perfect mix of sweet and savory.I will say that the food is a bit on the pricier side, but the quality was worth the price point in my opinion."

It is a lunch buffet so you just go straight to the food and start! Love all the options they offer here. I am pretty much going for their Butter Chicken, grilled chicken legs and Mutton Curry. Loving the flavor and freshness. They also have salad and other veggie options too. A good place for lunch for sure."

All were well spiced. Some had too much chili for my wife but the spices were very good. The rasam (soup?) was the best I've had in years. The chili chicken curry had a great aroma and flavor. We will definitely be back."

Crissy H. "Alright, I went on a limb and decided to stop by this restaurant. To start, it was very clean and the waitress was sweet and pointed me in the direction to place my to-go order. Being a new patron, I was not familiar with their menu and again, the waitress was very helpful with her suggestions.I started off with the Chicken Tikka Nachos: I was so disappointed, actually, I felt worse than disappointed. The chicken was beyond dry, and I mean, dry. I got there around the time they opened, I can only assume they were still trying to get rid of the previous days food. I dipped the chicken in the sauce that came with it, hoping that would help, it didn't. Stuffed Naan: Again, the chicken was dry. I actually was very surprised, I've never had a naan that wasn't cooked perfectly. Mango Lassi: That is the only RAVE I can give about this visit, that drink was delicious! Overall, I can't say I will not go back. I believe I chose to go at the wrong time, and chose the wrong thing. My first thought was to get the Butter Chicken, next time, I will not sway away from that."

David P. "Based on my own experience thus far, this location is a great place to visit if you're seeking great Indian Himalayan food. Although the outside of the building did look a little rough, the interior had a pleasant atmosphere, so I'd advise you to not let that deter you. Nevertheless, the food was excellent. I started my lunch with some chicken 65, a dish that is popular in Nepal, and let me just tell you that this was some of the greatest chicken I've ever tasted. It was extremely crunchy and spicy, and eating it made me sweat. As a result, I'll add that if spicy cuisine is not your thing, I'd advise staying away from this establishment. You could also just ask for no heat, but where's the honor in that?I also got some paratha aloo after that, which was delicious, but I wish they had cheese paratha. Nevertheless, it was pleasant and complemented my main meal, a taxmax curry that was the chef's special. It had lamb, spinach, black lentils, yellow lentils, and a mouthwatering masala curry. If you're not a big flavor explorer, I'd say this might not be your cup of tea, as most of the people I shared my plate with didn't like it, but I'm sure it's just because they don't like this sort of food. Overall, this restaurant was good; the food portions were sizable and reasonably priced, so I'd recommend it to anyone in the area seeking good, authentic Indian Himalayan food."

Ana P. "Me and my coworkers just order from this restaurant through a food delivery app. Through no fault of the delivery driver, we got our order wrong. There was a total of 3 different order, each with its own individual portion that should have arrived as such. When we received our food all the rice was put into one container making it difficult to share evenly among 3 people. I can understand the restaurant wanting to save space by using one container but it is inconvenient when is for multiple people. They also did not give us any sauces that normally come with the food. We specifically order the garlic and we did not receive the garlic. Very disappointed not getting what we paid for. The coworker that suggested this place gave it great praise so I was like "sure why not" but this experience sadly did not give me a great experience. The level of spice that one of my coworker order was medium but it tasted like they did not even put any spice to it. It was very mild. On top of that they burnt our simonas! They should have check before sending them to us. The nan bread was also packaged together which is not that hard to split but they did not give us enough for the 3 of us.Upon opening the bag it was delivered in you could tell it was just thrown together to get it out the door and did not care about the quality of their food. I would not recommend order take out from this restaurant but maybe you will have a better experience dinning in."

Hannah N. "Food delivery review: I wanted to add another indian restaurant to my usual rotation so I decided to try them out. I love that they have many vegetarian options, especially when it comes to their momos. You can opt for veggie or chicken for every preparation whether that be fried, steamed, kothey, chili, or jhol. I've tried the veggie thali which was just ok. It came with many items, but I can't say anything stood out. Now, the vindaloo with veggies was very flavorful and tasty. It was packed with veggies and the naan requested with it was perfect. The veggie momos are delicious, and I can't decide if I like them better deep fried or pan fried. The sauces that come with them are both delicious. The food was good enough to definitely check out for a dine in experience soon."

Either way, I'm so glad we found this place. We were immediately greeted and allowed to sit where we wanted. The decor is minimal yet clean and airy. The place was pretty empty except for us and one other party of 5.We ordered chicken tikka masala, Tandoori mix (chicken, shrimp, & lamb), basmati rice, garlic naan bread and a masala chai tea. Brian Q. "Bombay Republic recently opened so I had to give it a try for the Friday lunch buffet. The ambience is more upscale than any of the other Indian places in Richardson, and the quality and variety of the buffet was better as well. But it is also most expensive at ~$25 including tip (I believe Friday is the weekend pricing so it may be cheaper Monday through Friday)They probably had twice the number of items on the buffet as some other restaurants in the area. I got stuffed just tasting a little bit of each. Fresh warm naan is brought directly to your table. My only complaint was the goat curry barely had any goat meat in it when I was there. It was all bones. I heard another customer complain about it to the staff that day as well. They should keep goat meat full given the relatively high price of the buffet."

I'm not used to getting a yellow chutney with my dosa but it was delicious, as was the podi sprinkled inside. And I was very happy I found the place. For those not following along, this is a distinctively South Indian vegetarian restaurant, and one of the better ones I've ever been to. While many of these places sacrifice ambiance and service, this one, while embedded amongst some tire shops, had some nice wood-tinged accents and TVs playing the Indian classics: cricket, where I had no idea what was happening, and soap operas with men and women constantly pretending not to look at each other, where I had no trouble understanding what was happening. They serve water warm, in keeping with Ayurvedic principles, but offer iced water for the American palate. The menu includes many delicious small plates, some large combo platters, and in particular many variations of the dosa, a large (huge in this case) savory crepe made from lentils. The one here was likely cooked in ghee (vegans can find things to eat here, but will have to ask). An unsweetened chai washed down my dosa, while a potato peanut burger that arrived later was more than I needed, but just what I wanted. This is the sort of place where everyone else here was Indian and spoke the language (I don't know which language). People at the table mine next to me were talking about how they'd just gotten back from India and (in their words) the only thing they missed was the food. My perspective is rather different as I've never been, but this lentil-based spicy, diverse, vegetarian cuisine is certainly something I miss when I can't find it. And you'll struggle to find it done better than it was here."

Once we arrived, I let my buddy direct me on ordering. We split appetizer of Sukuti. He explained it was a form of dried water buffalo. That was a staple in parts of Nepal. The meat was firm but flavorful. If youHave ever had soft but slightly chewy beef jerky it's the closest thing I can think of to describe it. Although I am not doing it justice. It was probably by far my favorite dish and they were all good. He said it was the most authentic like his family would make. We then had momos (dumplings with chicken in a red sauce). I was not expecting much as many dumplings from other cultures seem bland, I was surprised by how flavorful these were. The main course was their Namaste Special Thali Set. I had chicken and my friend had mutton. Both meats were good (and I'm not a fan of mutton). The various sides that are also on the set (can't remember the names) were excellent. I loved the black eyed peas that came with it. I quickly ran out of rice and they happily brought more. The atmosphere was well done. A modern mix of upscale restaurant meets a sports bar. It was nicer than expected when I first saw it in the corner of the little shopping mall. There were several tvs including a massive quad tv. But they blended well without being distracting. There were not many people based on the large group in the table behind me, I do not suspect noise would be an issue. The waitress was excellent. My only issue was that it was pretty dark. It felt uncomfortable to eat when others were still waiting for their orders, but we were on a tight schedule.I ordered the Hakka noodles with shrimp, which was surprisingly tasty.
