"Some know how to fry chicken and some absolutely DO NOT. Chicken Heads- DOES! I'm addicted to the crunch.. I thought I was going to taste something spectacular in the chicken being that it's Cajun but it just tasted like regular fried chicken to me. The chicken was juicy, seasoned very well.. and the wings were a good size. I got a side of the smoked Jambalaya which was good, definitely tasted the smokiness of it however it was a little dry for my liking- this is the only reason I gave 4 stars.I will be back to try the other sides as the other review said the corn was good. "I brought my work team of 5 here to commemorate Black History Month through our support of a local, black-owned business. We didn't have an issue with service being slow like some of the other reviews mention. We had a wonderful experience at lunchtime on a Wednesday. The restaurant was near empty. The waitress sat us quickly and brought us carafes to refill our waters. Background music was great and the perfect audio level for weekday lunch. We got a free appetizer of the corn muffins with honey butter, which are just so delicious. And lunch itself was yummy. My gumbo was a little saltier and spicier than my personal preference but the sweet cornbread muffins balanced it out for me. The gumbo was served with dirty rice, also yummy The team also ordered the hot chicken sandwich and the fried catfish meal. Servings were generous and everyone really loved their dishes. We were out the door maybe by 1:15pm? So total dining time of about an hour. It was totally within timeliness expectations for a corporate lunch hour. Don't hesitate, and check out Southern Gourmet Kitchen if you're in the area!"

Everything from ordering, wait time, food, and customer service was exceptional The owner Don Ramon is friendly, and attentive and ensures his customers have a great experience. Sughey was very welcoming, and friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. I had an amazing experience again which shows their consistency in food as well as customer service. If you still haven't tried their delicious tacos I highly recommend you give them a try. My friend was raving about this taco spot. I made a trip from CA to see what the hype is all about. For starters the customer service was amazing. They were so friendly patient, and attentive, and I felt as if the owner and staff members treated me as family. It was a great environment. I had a total of 8 Bistek tacos. I lathered those delicious tacos in their green homemade hot sauceI also had a green chili on my second round of tacos and I felt the burn but still good nonetheless. They have $1.50 tacos, tortas, gorditas, burritos, and quesadillas. Asada, barbacoa, pollo, pastor, chicharron, and chorizo. I stopped and got 4 tacos; 2 asada, barbacoa, and chicharron. Cilantro and onions on top. I loved them all they were delicious. The green sauce that comes with it was good.Delicious, cheap, and 5 minutes from my house! They are open 8:30 am-9 Mondays, Tues-Sat close at 9:30 and Sundays they are closed. Cash or card, but charge $2 for cards."

I found the asada to be quite dry but the other tacos were very good and flavorful. My only complaint is that the tortillas were a bit too hard and the chiles weren't spicy. The salsa on the other hand takes a minute to get to you but is very hot.Overall this taco truck gets a lot of visitors and I can see why they come back. I recommend the desebrada (shredded beef) taco."
