"Babe's Chicken Dinner House is always good!!! My family and I have been visiting Babe's together for over 15 years and it has long been a favorite gathering spot for holidays or special occasions. The food is great, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is unique - creating a memorable dining experience. At the Arlington location, the interior is decorated as if you are in the midst of a small southern town. The facades of businesses line the walls and fake chickens are placed on any available surfaces. The lighting is dim with cozy string lights and neon signs illuminating the corners of the restaurant. The food is all served family style with large entrees and bottomless sides & appetizers. For $20 you can choose between smoked chicken, fried chicken, fried catfish, chicken tenders, or chicken fried steak (I'm not ashamed to say I've tried them all over the years). Each entree is served on a large platter and is definitely enough for more than one meal! The appetizers include an iceberg lettuce salad with a simple vinaigrette and biscuits. It may be the nostalgia talking, but I believe their biscuits are the best in the world. After getting full on salad and biscuits alone, your meal arrives with family style green beans, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and gravy. The sides are delicious and you can ask for more of whatever you like! Their fried chicken is crunchy and juicy - and tastes amazing smothered in gravy. After you've eaten so much your top button on your pants bursts, you can take home the leftovers in plastic bags lined along the walls and pay up front on your way out. The servers used to dance the hokey pokey every hour - but I fear they've stopped doing that (at least at our most recent visit they didn't). In all, Babe's is an amazing value and a memorable family-friendly dining experience! I can't recommend it enough."
"Best pancakes in Frisco. This is a great stop for breakfast. The staff is friendly even though they are regularly busy. Their coffee is quite good too. I highly recommend."

"What a great find. I had a wonderful dinner at Avanti. The food was excellent, fresh, well seasoned and delicious. My past had steak medallions and they were cooked exactly as I requested. The service was perfect. Our waiter was so friendly and made sure our dinning experience pleasant. The interior is so lovely and it was decorated for Christmas which made everything look magical. I will put Avanti on my list of great dinner places."
"Went in on a Saturday for a late breakfast. The place was packed, but we got a table. I ordered the whole hog omelet, my wife had the eggs Benedict. My omelet was very good and well cooked. The hash browns lacked seasoning. My wife's Benedict left a lot to be desired. The egg was cooked hard, and the English muffins were too tough to saw through with her knife. The star of the show was the biscuits. I could eat my weight in them! The server was attentive and very courteous, making sure we had everything we needed, including drinks to go. The atmosphere is full-on old school diner. Lots of people and lots of food. We'd go back if we were in the area, just might make some different food choices."
"Excellent everything! Had the omelette, super fresh and filling, my daughter had the Nutella banana French toast and I it was so good, I had to copy down the ingredients so I can make it at home. Heather was our server and she was a riot! So fun and spunky! Highly recommend!"
"Just Wow! Scratch made biscuits. I was thoroughly impressed. Kept it basic as we were late to breakfast but two eggs, sausage and biscuits filled me up. Thought about rolls to go but forgot and I think that was a huge mistake. Lunch was coming out as we left and those looked great. Great service and my coffee cup was never empty. Small restaurant that is well maintained and the sayings on the walls are classic. We highly suggest you stop in for a meal!"
"Great little place for breakfast there daily specials are really affordable service was on point food arrived quickly"
"Food is amazing and comforting. Service is stellar! It's like coming home each time we visit! The Cafe is warm and inviting. They'll keep you coming back. Make sure to try one of their slices of homemade pie or cinnamon roll french toast"
"Searched online for a burger place and this came up in our search. We like what the webpage had to say. We were not disappointed. For sure that old time diner feel. Our server Carolanne was amazing. Burgers and fresh cut fries for both of us. One added a fried egg Burgers was cooked as ordered. $25 for 2 people for lunch........can't think of another place for great food at that price."
"I just finished my second meal at Cafe de France's Plano location, and I am again pleasantly surprised. On both occasions I went outside of high traffic times. The service was nonetheless excellent. They offer compelling menus and deliver an unbelievably good value. I will absolutely return."
"Old school diner type cafe...no frills, but the counter employee was friendly and I'm excited to see if the food lives up to the reviews. FYI - You order at the counter before finding your seat. Food was very good. Bacon was crispy and the potatoes were well seasoned. No complaints at all and would repeat."
"Great delicious food! Love the weekend specials, one savory the other sweet. Yum! Our favorite server is Kiley. 5 Stars!!!!!"

I wanted to find a good place for lunch and this was close. I read the reviews and the website, and for 20 bucks, you sure do get stuffed! First they brought out a salad with sweet vinaigrette. I'm not too much a vinaigrette person, but this was delicious! I ate the whole salad and the biscuit they brought as well. They had honey on the table so I put some honey on the biscuit and it was perfect. Light and fluffy and not crusty and hard. I ordered the chicken tenders and then they brought what must have been 10 chicken tenders along with big bowls filled with mashed potatoes, green beans and corn. Everything was top notch and delicious! I would definitely be back, if I didn't live in Houston. This is a great one, though!

This is the perfect spot for any occasion! The food is phenomenal. We had great service with Ashley, she was bubbly and personable, and made the overall experience a 10 out of 10. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the whole restaurant was decorated for Christmas, which made for a very delightful, relaxing evening! We will definitely be recommending Avanti to everyone we know, as well as returning for possible special occasions in the future!

I had a great experience here! I got the Migas with corn tortillas, and it was delicious! The beans were really good, and the meal was savory and delicious, and nothing was too salty! My server was really nice, and the food came out pretty quickly. The restaurant is a bit small, but it has a cozy feel to it.I would recommend coming here for brunch! I heard the egg Benedicts are good, but Migas was delicious too!

Judy's never disappoints. I go for breakfast. The staff is always warm and attentive, never intrusive. The atmosphere is stylish and comfy. They don't skimp on the fresh ingredients. I recommend the banquet skillet, and usually share so that I can also enjoy their fluffy pancakes with fresh blueberries in the batter. Don't forget to treat yourself to a slice of one of their delicious homemade pies! Judy's kitchen is bitchin'!

"I came here for 3 reasons.1. Yelp review average 4 stars seemed legitimate2.Yesterday I ate at a place that takes no cash. This place takes only cash as pointed out in Yelp reviews3.One Yelper says the place needs updating and the seats are bad...im inOk I guess its 4. Im in the area for other reasonsIm happy to report the place is a legit hole in the wall! Yea!So lets review class. Yesterday I ate lunch at a place that had corporate chain written all over it. They didn't take cash.Today Im eating at a mom and pop owned for 40 years that, you guessed itTakes Only Cash!!!! Love it!So let me clarify a couple of things in light of some fellow Yelper feed back I received regarding my No Cash comment yesterday. I want everyting to be convenient for me the customer period. Im spending my money so If I want to whip out the Gold card Id like to be able to. If I want to lay a crispy C note with Benjamines portrait on it, I wanna do that. Taking cash leaves no one out.Not taking cash I believe restricts our rights and leaves a lot of folks out.Ok enough of that.Oasis restaurant has fantastic food at Fantastic prices. I was shocked when the waitress told me they'd been there forty years!! I've been up and down this street for 40 years. But the Decor of the place proves it.The waitress recommended the Migas(I usually dont do mexican unless well im in a Mexican food place) But I bit and wow it was delicious.Every single employee in the place was engaging and nice..Guy is definitely recommending a big ...Go!!!PS dont forget to bring Cash Only!!!"
"Everything here is great! The food is just good ol' fashioned home cooking! The people are out of this world amazing! Go for your birthday and have Brenda sing to you! It's a local establishment which is awesome! A wonderful, family environment! Love AYCE Catfish Fridays! Get up and go visit! Kim and Austin work hard and are just as nice as can be! Stop by and God bless..."
"It's completely authentic. Fine dining and the warmest hospitality. We order out pizza. There are a lot of pizza "joints" in N Dallas/Richardson. Fortunately there is Abova's."
"Had a bacon cheese burger with onion rings and it was so good. It wasn't greasy and cooked perfectly."
"First I want to mention that I am born and raised in New Orleans, LA. So I've only ever been exposed to great food my whole life. I was visiting family in Dallas and my husband was craving BBQ. so I of course yelped a place and this popped up. We spent $100 and got 1# each of Beef ribs, brisket, sides were: Mac and cheese, fried okra, baked beans, greens, some Texas toast butter bread, and some banana pudding. Meat was smoked heavenly and they did give us 16oz of bbq sauce to put on our meat as we desired. Which I like bc I hate messy messy bbq. My husband on the other hand loves it. So I appreciated the compromise. The fried okra was our favorite. The breading was BOMB. My only issue was that the banana pudding was absolutely rush made and they had no bananas in them. It was just box pudding and wafers on top. It still did the job but you know..... All and all everything was great and the people on the restaurant were hospitable."
"I don't usually eat breakfast but I love breakfast food. So when my friend suggested this spot for dinner, I was thinking we should save this for a special occasion weekend brunch kind of day instead. Little did I know, they serve breakfast all day! The inside was cozy and dineresque with a nature theme. The dining area was pretty large and spacious. The menus are printed on what looks like a newspaper and they include calories count for everything. They even have smaller portions for some of their dishes which is great if you're not too hungry or if the calorie count shocked you like it did me. Pierceson was our server and he was a super cool guy. He gave us some suggestions and was patient with our questions. Even though I was excited for breakfast, I wanted to try the dinner offerings too. In the end I opted for my beloved Benny. This one was the California Bacon eggs benedict which came with the standard English muffin and poached egg along with thick cut bacon, avocado, spinach, and grilled tomatoes. Now, the Hollandaise sauce was a let down as it was broken. The dish was still tasty but visually not appealing. The country red potatoes were delicious. My friend enjoyed her chicken fried steak meal. Overall, great addition to the area for breakfast any time of the day!"
"This is a quintessential American diner. When you walk in, it's like every great diner you've been to your whole life. Chicken Fried Steak - very good. Biscuits - excellent. Soft and dense. Gravy - very good. Pancakes - excellent. These are heavy, not light and fluffy. But they are really good. Cinnamon roll: goodEggs - ordered over easy, came out over medium -hard. Bacon - really goodSausage - goodMac-n-cheese - very good. (Son says, "it slaps."It's fast paced, busy, packed, and yet the service was great. Go in expecting a diner experience with good food and you will get it."
"I came here today for the first time. I love the ambiance! It reminds me of the diner back in a day in a very nostalgic way. I love supporting the independent businesses verses chain. They have so many items on their menu, but I decided on Migas since that's one of my favorite dishes. It was so delicious. I've had many Migas, but this one was definitely on my top 3! The salsa was spicy and delicious! My server, Miss Penny Ann was so friendly and attentive. She asked if I wanted dessert and I asked her what she had and she named so many desserts they offer and the last one was Banana split, but I didn't want a big one, so she made me a personal little one just for me!! The other staff and the owners are so nice and welcoming! My visit to this establishment was a total success and great experience. I will definitely return to try other items on my next return."
"Tried 3 different breakfast restaurants in Granbury & this is the winner!!! They are busy, but handle it well. The ginormous cinnamon roll was so good I ordered 1 to go. Chocolate chip pancakes were filled to the brim with chocolate, perfectly cooked & I added some peanut butter for pure perfection. My family loved their egg dishes too. Take my advice & try Firehouse first."
"tried the onion rings and they were delicious! it's a large serving and i had plenty left over to reheat in the air fryer the next day. they have a drive thru and the ordering process was simple, the guy who took my order was nice and they were really fast even though they made my order fresh."
"Best breakfast in town!Eggs are awesome and are cooked as ordered. Hash browns cooked right. Only thing was the honey, it kinda tasted weird."
"There are so many good things to say about Mama's Daughter that I'm not sure where to start. The cooking is perfect. The chicken fried steak is crisp and juicy. So is the chicken fried chicken. The gravy has a fantastic texture and is peppered just right. You'll want it on everything! The green beans with bacon are addicting. The cornbread is wonderful. The only thing here I'd pass on are the peaches because they're literally swimming in sugar syrup. Everything else is delicious. There's not a bad order to be ordered. The daily meat and three special gives you a an entrée plus three sides at under $12. It's a steal of a value. The only thing of better value is the service. You'll feel like you're a regular even if it's your first time. Staff is just attentive enough without being overbearing. They'll have that refill just before you realized you wanted it. That check will arrive just before you're ready to go. Their grins and pleasantries won't stop. The vibe makes you feel at a distant relatives home. Getting a table might be tough at lunch and especially after church hours. Arrive early, because even the small parking lot is tough to navigate. If you have a large truck this could be a problem. That aside it's a wonderful café inside and out that makes you feel at home."
"Such a great place to have breakfast in Dallas! Great service, good prices, and everything you'd want for breakfast and it's delicious!"
"Was up way to early for work and not being from the DFW area I found this diner on Yelp. The is a small diner with tables inside and some on a covered patio. They also have 10+ stools if you want to sit at the counter. The place has a old school being at home feel. The staff is friendly & attentive and your coffee will be refilled often. The food was fresh and the eggs were cooked just the way they were ordered. The diner is clean and they also have a bakery for pastries. Recommend this diner for sure."
"There are several Starwood Cafes in close proximity to me although I enjoy this one the most! It's small yet light and airy. I'm a big breakfast lover and this restaurant has all bases covered - delicious skillet options, omelettes and pancakes. There's a small coffee bar where they brew up speciality coffee drinks. The servers are always friendly and food service quick! Seating is mainly booths with a few tables. If you have a group over 6 there may be a wait in order to push the few tables together. For groups I'd recommend having breakfast early to avoid waiting."
"Food is fresh but the wait is crazy! Very casual inside dining. This establishment also has a drive thru and a large parking lot with big pot holes so be careful there. I ordered the fish/shrimp combo, shrimp fried rice and happy family with an egg roll. I believe business has picked up here because of social media because it's never been so busy. I think it's worth the wait, definitely a good portion size and always fresh cooked to order."
"This place was very delicious, we were around the area for a mini getaway and found this place was near us. We were very satisfied with the customer service, our waitress was very attentive and sweet. The appetizers were very good portions to begin our meal. And the burgers were very delicious. If you plan on coming here definitely try their shakes. We had the golden monkey shake and it was so good, we hope to be back soon."
"This charming small Cafe in River Oaks is pretty great. The menu is vast and almost labyrinthine, with options ranging from simple comfort foods like Chicken Fried Steak to Mexican dishes to burgers and on and on. The food is good, the service is friendly, and the decor is simple and homey. Highly recommend."
"New adventure for us. My sponsor was searching for "Burgers" when she came across a Mediterranean restaurant that serves burgers. It had good ratings. Off to south Arlington we go. When ordering she noticed the burgers were Lamb Burgers not "Ham"burgers made with beef. I ordered the Gyro Wrap to stay within the theme of the establishment. We each ordered a side of fries and a single side of Baba Ghanoush. The owner and staff were exceptionally nice, making the experience remarkable. My sponsor was very impressed with the burger and side dishes. It is placed on our return list."
"We came in on a Thursday morning, construction was for sure obstructing so had to call to make sure they were open, but Chelsea answered and assured they were ready and open for business! We came in and were warmly greeted! My husband and I ordered the pasta and catfish! Plates were clean after! Yams and pasta was the star !! We also ordered the gotta luv it drink and one night stand! Delicious!! Come out and see them!"
