The wings are smoked and then fried and you can definitely taste it! We had the buffalo lemon pepper in medium and Cajun dry rub and they were fantastic! The loaded curly fries are a for sure a must have. As for the vibes, they are a 10/10! They have a game console set up for you to play games with your friends and family as well as a pretty large patio area with games. Did I also mention they serve alcohol? We had their Original marg and a hennyrita! The food was amazing, the service was good, and the vibes were there! We are for sure definitely returning soon"

They have a variety of sauces, the mikes sauce is similar to canes sauce and I enjoyed the gravy. The chicken is also super juicy, once again the spicy is where it's at. My only complaint were the sides. They were just okay. We liked the creamed corn and fries the best. The mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were very disappointing. Order ahead of time as the wait is no joke. They allow to order online."

Holley Janae P. "Babe's Chicken Dinner House is always good!!! My family and I have been visiting Babe's together for over 15 years and it has long been a favorite gathering spot for holidays or special occasions. The food is great, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is unique - creating a memorable dining experience. At the Arlington location, the interior is decorated as if you are in the midst of a small southern town. The facades of businesses line the walls and fake chickens are placed on any available surfaces. The lighting is dim with cozy string lights and neon signs illuminating the corners of the restaurant. The food is all served family style with large entrees and bottomless sides & appetizers. For $20 you can choose between smoked chicken, fried chicken, fried catfish, chicken tenders, or chicken fried steak (I'm not ashamed to say I've tried them all over the years). Each entree is served on a large platter and is definitely enough for more than one meal! The appetizers include an iceberg lettuce salad with a simple vinaigrette and biscuits. It may be the nostalgia talking, but I believe their biscuits are the best in the world. After getting full on salad and biscuits alone, your meal arrives with family style green beans, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and gravy. The sides are delicious and you can ask for more of whatever you like! Their fried chicken is crunchy and juicy - and tastes amazing smothered in gravy. After you've eaten so much your top button on your pants bursts, you can take home the leftovers in plastic bags lined along the walls and pay up front on your way out. The servers used to dance the hokey pokey every hour - but I fear they've stopped doing that (at least at our most recent visit they didn't). In all, Babe's is an amazing value and a memorable family-friendly dining experience! I can't recommend it enough."

The portions are BIG I doubt you would be able to sample multiple things at once unless you're taking a single bite of each. The tenders are really big, the burgers are big also. Price wise the average is about $9-$10 for smaller order sizes and up to $25 for larger ones. ServiceIt's a small business attached to a convenience store so there's not a huge employee presence like a franchise location. There are usually 2 people working, both are very kind and will take your order and have good conversation with you. They're always kind to me each time I come and sometimes they're throw in small extras to make the meals even better.AmbianceLike I mentioned previously, it's attached to a convenience store so people are in and out, but their section has about 4 small tables setup where you can sit and eat and if you want a drink just take a few steps across the floor to the store cooler and grab something. Not a typical restaurant dedicated to their business, but the functionality and taste of food makes the ambiance irrelevant.Definitely check them out!"

Lizbeth N. "My friend and her niece raved about this spot and how it was owned by a young girl who was able to open her business with her savings. I was intrigued, especially by the theme and concept of the place. As my friend, her niece, and I walked in we were greeted by the young girl Olivia, who is the owner. She was at the cash register taking our orders and she was friendly. After I informed her it was my first time there she informed me about the process and once I finished getting my drink then I would go pay at the cash register. There are two doors before you get inside the place which helps since the day I was there it was too windy and cold. The interior was very busy with their theme decorations (space theme), and holiday decorations, and the seating had two large tables with two cushioned benches on each table. There are also tables and chairs for kiddos which is amazing since a lot of places aren't really kids friendly. This spot is kid-friendly and welcoming. They have mini sample cups for you to sample their drinks and toppings (please be mindful though, don't take advantage). I sampled 3 of their drinks and decided to go with a large cup of Honeydew Milk Tea with boba and pudding/custard. The honeydew milk tea was delicious and it wasn't too sweet, for me it was perfect so I didn't have to add tea to make it less sweet. They gave an option of making your drink less sweet with their unsweetened teas. Olivia thought of everything. You go girl. Their boba was soft, warm, fresh, and chewy which is how it's supposed to be not like other boba spots where their boba is rock solid. 5/5 Honeydew Milk Tea with boba and custard/pudding My friend and her niece loved their drinks. My friend mixed two of their drinks and it tasted pretty good. They have board games and they also sell small food bites. If you have not stopped by to experience this spot I highly recommend you give it a try. Happy Yelping and SYOY"

The chicken is a tiny bit spicy, just a pinch, and is big and tender. The crust is good, not too much and not too little. I got the Love Me Tender, and despite bein' a growin' boy, I actually couldn't finish it, so the portions are very nice. The potato salad was really good, but being a side-lover, I personally could have gone with a tad less chicken in favor of a bit more side, but it's fine. The biscuits are large enough to turn out as actual sandwich "buns", so they are very big and nice quality. Service and atmosphere is great (had enough country music to do me for a year or two). Trinh T. "The Budlong Southern Chicken is a fried chicken sandwich chain that serves Nashville Hot chicken sandwiches that uses chicken thighs instead of breast. This is the first location in Texas. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return)Atmosphere - The Budlong Southern Chicken is located behind Bar Louie in the Toyota Music Factory. Like all restaurants at TMF, try to get street parking, otherwise you have to park in the garage, which can be busy on event days. The restaurant itself is a long, quick serve style restaurant with booths along the sides, tables in the middle, and cool Budlong art and murals on the wall. If only it had better parking.... 1/2 Star.Service - The staff is super nice. We went on a grand opening day where the line was to the door, but the staff were all smiles, were super patient with our orders, and made sure we would enjoy our meals. Like most quick service restaurants, you order, give them your name, then wait for your food to come out. 1 StarFood - I ordered the original Nashville Hot chicken sandwich with Cajun potato salad. Kudos to Budlong because the thigh meat works. The chicken was hot, plump, juicy, and contained a good amount of heat. The soft, spongy bun held the chicken and slaw well. The slaw cooled the heat a little, and the cold, creamy Cajun potato salad cooled it a lot. IMO, it was a perfect paring. I chose the buttermilk ranch. And while I didn't dip my sandwich in it, my teens ate it with their hot, crispy crinkle-cut fries. But the star of my meal was the fried corn bread. Served with sweet butter, who knew boring cornbread could be transformed into such greatness? The only downer was the chocolate pie. The dough was very chewy and the chocolate a bit gooey. Otherwise, a great meal! 1 1/2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. While I'm not a fan of the parking at Toyota Music Factory, I'm happy that I now have a great local option (I live in Irving) for Nashville Hot Chicken. I'll be back for that fried corn bread! 1 Star"

My wife and I seesaw the spectrum since every dish we've had here is simply stellar. First and foremost, Hill Country. If you're going to ACK for the first time, this is what you will order. It's not a suggestion. It's a command. The jalapeño jam and goat cheese combo paired with their practically perfect fried chicken recipe on a super crumbly biscuit will make your eyes roll into your head and leave 'em there until about 15 mins. after you finished this bad boy. All their biscuit sandwiches are going to give you the "happies" but Hill Country does take the cake. Gotta hand it to a place serving fried chicken - they know not everyone wanting fried chicken wants the stuffed-gut guilt usually contributed by the accompaniment of french fries or mashed potatoes. I love that ACK has these healthy bowls of delicious veggies and quinoa (rice is another option). I have personally tried the teriyaki bowl and the peanut butter honey chili bowl, and both give me that rare balance of drowning in deliciousness but not because I'm weighed down feeling like I ate 5 lbs. of abhorration. It's great that a place can offer the two sides of the culinary coin with consistent, remarkable flavors. To add to the long list of positives - great prices under $10 a dish!"

Ben S. "Today was my third visit. I was hesitant to return as my prior visit sandwiches had chicken smaller than the already small bun, and the spice level didn't add up to its name. I have been seeking a true "Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich Experience." I expressed my concern, "Hey all the pictures on the menu show a large chicken breast sticking out both sides of the sandwich, but my prior orders didn't come close." I was assured that doesn't happen anymore. I ordered 2 Nashville daddys, a spicy daddy sandwiches and mild chicken tenders. All three sandwiches had chicken beyond the bun. The Nashville Daddy, even with the Extra Hot sauce level, still isn't authentic Nashville hot chicken. The sauce on the bun is hot enough to induce a scalp sweat, but the chicken itself is not. I guess the kitchen staff overheard my comments and decided to cake the mild chicken strips in a heavy, hot, dry spice rub. The strips were for my kid, who couldn't eat them at that spice level. I wasn't able to finish them myself, I prefer a hot sauce compared to the heavily caked tenders. See pic. I note that there is not a Daddy's Chicken Shack in Nashville or Tennessee. That might explain my overall disappointment in seeking a true Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich experience here. Not in a hurry to return."

I have been known to frequent food trucks, right?Ordered a 3pcs chicken strip dinner with cheese fries at the counter and had the medium spice level applied to the chicken. A lady brought it to me at the picnic table a short time later and I started in. I usually order things a smidge spicier than most folks, so was pleased with the "medium", as it was just the right spice/hot for me. The chicken pieces were larger than typical, the flavor excellent, they were tasty, juicy and served plenty HOT (temperature). The cheese fries were as expected and tasted good too. If they would have had a 2pc, I would have had that instead and I would have been plenty full for lunch. I really enjoyed the food, the service and the cleanliness of WGC.
