"We are visiting Frisco from out of town and noticed this great restaurant was right down the street. We had dinner here our first night, and wow it was amazing. I had the patty melt and my wife had the meat loaf. For dessert we had their beignets, and wow, those were amazing too. We were so excited and stoked about the quality of food, that we decided to go there again today (Saturday) for brunch. The food was again amazing for brunch. The staff is very friendly. The review lost one star because the chef was walking through the restaurant, stopped at our table, and reprimanded us for bringing outside coffee into the restaurant (we are from out of town and didn't know the rules and also double checked that it is not posted on the door). It is never a good feeling to be reprimanded in the middle of a family meal. Other than the one bad experience during breakfast, I would highly recommend this place! It is truly great food!"

"I'm recommending Big Tony's for the catfish, seafood basket which was too good for words!!! That's almost my grandmother's recipe (one other place in Texas makes it the same) & those Chef's know how to knock it out!!! Wish I'd gotten everyone's names but the Order taker /Cashier and Chefs were so nice and thoughtful during their busy lunch. She raced around to clean tables & took orders, one of the chefs brought me extra tartar sauce that they make in-house. It's really got some secret recipe goodness! The shrimp were cooked to perfect & three times better than the fancier shrimp my cousins & I had at a place in Arlington a few day before. We're all visiting family from out of state & now we know where to go in the DeSoto areafor a great basket of fish, shrimp, banana pudding -- oh and those spicy fries!!! Not super spicy (though we can take it!) but very crispy & better than any fries we had in the Dallas area. (A Paris, Texas restaurant came close!) Thank you, Big T's -- we will be back!!"

"We started eating at Big Tony's in DeSoto, Texas as my daughter introduced us to her weekly routine. Then she introduced her fiancé, now husband to weekends at Big Tony's. Imagine our shock in April when we were ordering food, and Amanda mentioned to the clerk her love of Big Tony's and how much she has missed it. Lo and behold Big Tony was there and over heard her. He was with some clients and came over and introduced himself. What a kind gentleman with the sweetest soul. My daughter and I were elated and she couldn't wait to call her spouse, lol. We enjoyed our delicious Philly Cheesesteak's again yesterday. Always made fresh and the we add the Philly secret sauce, actually we drown it in. So good. We just need a Big Tony's in Texoma land. Also, I may not actually die - but what sort of life would it be? They are a small business in a strip mall thing there next to the access road, they serve hamburgers and Philly cheese-steaks and such. "Amazing" is the first word that comes to mind. The place is smallish, there is a counter for ordering to-go orders and seating for people who want to dine in. Parking is adequate.I had the burger today so I will talk about that. Specifically, I had the single patty cheeseburger(with fries)!It is absolutely delicious. The bun is buttered, the meat has a fantastic char on it. The veggies are fresh and the fries are hot. It is a serious hamburger. I might get emotional just thinking about it. Really, the only downside to Hawkin's food is that you cannot eat it every day."

Kinda felt like their take on the popular Popeyes chicken sandwich, but better cuz it's local, haha. Mon-Thurs they have a 2 for $7 special on the chicken sandwich. My mom had the burger and she liked it though, she requested mustard only and they added mayo to the sandwich. Still said it tasted great. The wings were whole wings and we got lemon pepper and they were good. Didn't try the desserts but they had jumbo cookies and cakes as offerings. Definitely would go back in the future."
