"Very impressed with the chicken wings, well seasoned and taste great. Went for lunch so not much of a wait, they cook the food fresh. We'll definitely be back to try the catfish."
"New review for newly opened restaurant. The quality of the food is great compared to any other chinese place in the area. The inside looks clean and remodeled. The service provided was great as well. I definitely recommend this place."

"Walking around the whole building, and came back to this one as it seemed the most appealing. I wasn't let down. If you are a fan of catfish, this will probably be some of the best seasoned catfish you've ever ate. Their fries aren't anything special, but fortunately they're not the stars of the show. If you had to pick one place to eat here, get the fried catfish from here."
"Pros: food tastes pretty goodCons: strong bleach smell that overpowers everything and dampens the mood. They charge for water, charge for sauce, don't honor specials listed. Overcharged for a few things. Bill should have been $60 and ended up being $90. Not very happy."
"Crawfish, boudin, and beer YUM YUM.What a fun little festival. And of all of our Yelp friends that attended, I guess we were the only ones that got any crawfish. Sorry Eric and Marianne, I guess Doug and I ate them all. This was my first trip to Keller and boy did we have a great time. The Crawfish Krawl is on two blocked off streets. The street we were on was full of vendors, food, and beer. The other was the kids section. We tried to take a look but were turned away because we had a beer in our hands. I guess this is ok but seemed a little over protective to me. The line for the crawfish was really long but luckily we walked around for a bit and when we returned we walked right up and got our mud bugs and we enjoyed every one in our 3 pound tray. After we finished eating we walked around and looked at the vendor booths. One of which was selling some of the best cupcakes I've had in ages. Dang they were so good.We decided to have another beer and watch the band that started. It was a southern rock band and they were pretty good.We had a fun time and would not be surprised it we show up again next year."
"Best seafood I've had in the long time fresh and very tasty. The staff was amazing quick and efficient."
"Always have a great time at the crab station Visting Mike and Julia! Best bartenders ever!"
"This is a must visit if you love a good vibe, drinks, and food. I've visited mostly on weekends when in Dallas and never a dull moment!"
"My wife and I visited The Free Man Cajun Bar and Lounge today, and we were blown away by the delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. We started with the Boudin Balls, which were sausage with rice, breaded, and fried to perfection. At $14.95, it was a great deal for such a tasty appetizer. For our main courses, my wife ordered the Hot Chick, a spicy fried chicken breast served with gravy over rice. It came with a side, so she opted for a salad. The dish was priced at $18.95 and was worth every penny. I tried the Crawfish Pasta, which featured crawdads in a rich, creamy sauce over pasta, topped with grilled or blackened chicken. At $28.95, it was a bit pricey, but the flavors were so amazing that I didn't mind.To drink, my wife had a sweet tea that was very southern-like, with a hint of lemon and a surprising berry taste. It was a refreshing complement to our meal. One thing to note is that a 20% gratuity is added to your bill, so be aware of that when dining here. Despite this, we highly recommend The Free Man for anyone looking for delicious Cajun food in a lively atmosphere."
"Excellent meal and the service was wonderful. I ordered grilled shrimp fettuccine. The order came out very quick and was cooked perfectly. I didn't even have time to finish my $5 house margarita. The portions were good. I brought home a nice portion of my fettuccine, but ate all of the shrimp. The only negative point in the evening was the people waiting to be seated were standing right beside our table. There was no other place for them to stand."
"Service was good. Food didn't taste good (Bland, even though I got the spicy one). Ambiance was good. Conclusion, will not be back for seafood boil."
"I stopped by to try their turkey necks cause I love a good turkey neck boil, and wow, they did not disappoint. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and just falling off the bone--absolute perfection! You can taste the love and care that goes into their cooking. It was definitely authentic Cajun food. And let me tell you, that purple Kool-Aid drink? Game changer. Sweet, refreshing, and just the right touch of nostalgia. It's the perfect combo with the food.If you're looking for authentic flavor and good vibes, Dat Bayou Spot is where it's at. I'm already planning my next visit!"

Walking around the various food truck options, and thought Cajun is always a good choice. Well, I was not disappointed!Tried the jambalaya and catfish with their signature sauce, it was fantastic. I like my food with larger chunks of vegetables, and the rice with onions and sausage was awesome, not fine chopped onions, but real sized you can see and enjoy. The flavor, give it a 9, I just wish it was spicier. But, I like HOT food, so it is very satisfying. Come hungry, it's a good sized portion The catfish was seasoned well, light batter with enough crisp to enjoy, but not overpowering. Fried to perfection, and able to cut with a fork. Definitely be back to try more, it's that good.

Some stuff was good while others not so much. The Lo main, dumplings and chicken kabob sticks were awesome. The breaded shrimp, house rolls and peppered chicken was also pretty good. Everything else was bland at best. My wife liked the fruit salad with the marshmallows though. Also maybe add a dessert called Flan? It's very popular at the other Asian buffet we usually go to.

I LOVE DRUNKEN CRAB.Their sauce on their boils is just seriously supreme. The sampler for 41$ seems like a really good deal to me for the market prices in the area currently. Service is good. Fun atmosphere suited for drinking with friends and eating seafood. I will say, I'd stick with beer here. We ordered 10 shots of their "house" tequila for my table and couldn't figure out why we didn't get drunk. Then got the bill and realized they were like 1.25 a piece. Soooo it's not liquor. Lol. It's wine. No complaints anyways because it's still fun and their beer is affordable but don't go wanting to take shots because it's fake. All in all it's a really laid back place to eat a delicious boil.

The Keller Crawfish Krawl is a fun event that you need to check out when it comes to Keller. This was our first time and we had a good time. It is free to park and get into the festival. You will have to find parking. You will need to buy coupons to eat the Crawfish boil and to get a beer. The cost is 20 dollars for I think 3 pounds of crawfish with corn and potatoes. This amount was plenty for 2 people. Five dollars for a beer on tap. And they have a good selection of beers. The event is not real big it located in old downtown Keller. Just one small block with tables lined up in the middle to sit and eat. With vendors along the side selling things. And at the end there is a stage with a band playing. The street over is for kids. I'm not sure what they have over there. The crawfish was very good. I had a crawfish boil once before but was not impressed. But this crawfish boil was very good. So much so that I would eat one again. We had a nice time very laid back. The line for the crawfish can get long and you will have to find a seat. But we had a good time and will be back next year.

Was randomly driving around looking for a spot to eat when we stumbled upon this awesome hidden spot. We walked in and it was all decorated for valentines. We decided to sit at the bar, right choice. Immediately we met numerous regulars and got a great drink. The bartender, Denzel, is awesome and will take care of. You the entire time. The food was delicious and very well priced.

Alex was amazing!! Very attentive but knew exactly when to let us enjoy. He up served us on the deserts and drink specials. You cant beat $5 margaritas (rocks or frozen), the peach was my favorite. I ordered The Berling Sea and it was more than enough for one person. I got the garlic butter sauce and a side of Extra Shazam and mixed them, it was the perfect sauce with a hint of spice. You can ask to try the sauces before you mix it with your boiled seafood. My friend got the Wagyu burger and it didn't disappoint. We finished with the chefs bread pudding, which was pretty goof, but not our best.

"Went by on a stormy night- wanted some Louisiana Gumbo- boy, was I impressed when I got home with my take out order. Price was good, and I notice some other items are quite expensive in my book, but maybe the quality is as GREAT as the gumbo- sausage, file', shrimp, veggies + great rice all done like my Grandma from New Orleans did ( not a cajun or vietnamese heritage...), only with a "Viet/Cajun flair"- I can not wait to try an oyster Po boy, as I am not much on crabs, but they have also wings, nice looking noodles and teriyaki/rice which all should also tryWelcome to GP, guys!!"
"#1 favorite place I've ever eaten at. Everything tasted so good. I love bloody Mary's and they make them perfectly. The hostess has been very attentive each time I've gone and the service was very good even when they seemed very busy. It's a very creative environment with cool decorations everywhere you look. The huckleberry syrup SO GOOD I RECOMMEND TRYING IT !!!"
"I was at the doctor, and decided to get something to eat. This place didn't disappoint it was very unique, very much a hole in the wall. I ordered the brisket, mac and cheese and greens burrito. The place is small but luckily they have one table because that thing was not making it home, it looked and smelled amazing and was it good. I am definitely coming back to try more variations on the burritos and all the other food. I haven't made recommendations on yelp in a while, because I haven't been this impressed in quite a while. After covid so much stuff was expensive and mediocre not bruchaholics. Thanks for amazing food. The service was super friendly and very fast."
"If someone was to read these other reviews.. they would likely not eat here... but that would be a huge mistake!! A coworker recommended the burgers so I ordered their Kimchee Cheese burger, and was truly awesome. Cooked fresh, with fresh vegetables, a huge ground beef patty, and crispy potato wedges.. this was way more food than I should eat at lunch.. But I will come back now and try other things on the menu. I recommend this for a filling and tasty lunch! Kimchi Burger$10.99Topped with grilled kimchi is a cheeseburger with a fried egg, ketchup, tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, and mayonnaise on a sesame seed bun."
"Excellent food and service HomeyBest peach cobbler everShrimp excellentAssociate loved the crab cakes"
"Our food was fresh and delicious! I wish we had time to try more! It's not a fancy place. No table service, but good atmosphere; clean and neat. The young lady at the counter was nice qnd helpful. And once qgain, the food was really good!"
"Music was really good we went last night Tuesday 10/08/2024 for the live band. Food was excellent I got the catfish & shrimp basket with 4 wings. Some of the best catfish I have had in dfw!! Highly recommend. Its a old school chill juke joint type of vibe."
"First, let me share that I am from Louisiana . Since moving to Arlington, I am always looking for some Cajun spiced crawfish! We found Big EZ and we come here on average 2-3 times a week! The servers are nice and Happy Hour is well, happy hour! It seems as though the oysters are becoming smaller in size but the crawfish is getting bigger in size so I can't complain! The charbroiled pack great flavoring! At each visit, I tend to order 2 lbs of crawfish! Today, I decided to get three! My go to season is the Viet Cajun! The Cajun bites are yummy ! This replaced the crawfish beignets.... Now, the dry rub chicken wings are BOMB ! Packed with flavor! The crispness is fried to perfection! If you love crawfish and oysters , give them a try! You won't be disappointed!"
"Such a great concept! The Chef changes monthly. A great opportunity to get their up and coming food out and you can be one of the first to try it. Of course, then you're going to want to follow up on your favorite chefs to see where they wind up in their permanent location. In the meantime, try to hit them up at least once a month and see what they have going on.March is Caribbean. Great food."
"Good ol T. T. Went in just for some turkey necks, eggs and sausage. Inexpensive and convenient. Quick service and also friendly. First time at this particular location but it didn't miss a beat to any of the other locations from the past."
"We pulled up to the restaurant thinking the place was empty. We walked in and it looked nice and clean there were people there enjoying there food. We will definitely come back."
"1) Boiled Crawfish looked a promising bright red. Pull the tail from the body. Shuck the shell of the tail off to get to the fibrous meat flavoured with piquant, aromatic Cajun-Créole boil mix. A section of corn on the cob & red new potatoes as accompaniments. I like eating the yellowish-brown "butter" from the head, but found it for the most part tasted stale. Perhaps the crawfish was frozen which is detrimental to the delicate crawfish butter. Or the Boiled Crawfish had been cooked earlier and had been reheated hours if not a day later which allows the butter to lose its freshness. Anyway, it didn't have the superior flavour of what can be found in New Orleans or West Feliciana Parish. 2) 1/2 Crawfish Étouffée , 1/2 Fried Crawfish: Excellent, fried, sweet, fibrous crawfish tails covered with what may be corn starch created an Italian fritti like lightness & subtle crispiness. French fries were equally well finished. Must eat them soon to retain that exemplary just fried liveliness. Étouffée sauce has a buttery, golden reddish, brown tone. Smoothness comes from the toasted, brown roux. May be red mostly from tomato sauce. Just a touch of Cajun-Créole spice blend. If there were any Cajun-Créole Mirepoix of onions, celery, bell pepper, it was finely food processed. Soupçon of chicken broth to round out and give Umami to the thickened sauce. This version has flavours which are understated & subtle, but can be considered bland by some. Rice acts as a barrier between the fried items from the Étouffée sauce. Small, toasted white french bread to sop up the sauce. The Cole Slaw was sweetened vinegar based with pronounced herbal french thyme, mixture of cabbage and what may be red bell pepper which was supposed to be a palate cleanser between bites of the Étouffée. Problem was its extreme, hyper saltiness which negated its role in refreshing the palate. 1-2a) Abita Purple Haze Lager Raspberry Lager was thirst quenching and had a light fruitiness which was especially appropriate for some of the saltiness that was encountered. Service here is perfunctory. Not unfriendly, but disinterested. Passing the time and doing just enough to get by. There wasn't any "Laissez les bons temps rouler." joie de vivre at Charlie's Créole Kitchen. The food has its ups and downs. 3- stars for mediocre food & service."
"We tried gumbo, boudin, chicken fried chicken, kids nuggets, fried okra, both desserts-- AND EVERY SINGLE THING was perfect! Service was quick and kind! The vibe is clean and casual. Oh, I am so happy these folks are here, I need them to be here for years to come!!"
"So I stopped in here today and made a to go order for their seafood boil. I got the lemon pepper the number one. And actually I need to come back in here to dine in because the place is really nice inside and the ladies and the gentleman that greeted me at the door was very nice. . In total I paid all together 38 bucks for this meal. I got it mild and I must say it was good I just wish they gave me a little bit more shrimp because usually the other place i go to to give me more of the shrimp but they did give me a decent amount of snow crab so that was a plus but over it all I really enjoyed this place. I will be back to dine in soon."
"When Mauricio is there, this is a fantastic place to eat. He makes sure that everything is perfect to the order. He's been doing this a long time, he manages well. The food is always good, and it's a quaint little place to eat. Also when the weather is good, it's a wonderful place to eat outside with a great location on Pearl Street."
"Authentic Cajun food at a good price. Friendly staff. Roomy venue with big bar, tvs, live music, pool tables and Golden Tee. Great for lunch, dinner and night out with friends. Next to an axe throw place for a perfect Texas two-step."
"My family was in town visiting and I decided to treat them to a crawfish dinner. This place was great. I showed up, ordered my crawfish by the pound and they loved it!!!!Nothing better than a crawfish dinner sitting around the pool on a nice warm daySouthern Crab's Staff was very nice, and helped answer my questions. The crawdad's were a nice plump medium size. The red potatoes and corn were boiled just perfectly and everyone really enjoyed the treat. The place was nice and clean and I would definitely come back again"
"I ended up at Mickles mainly because of their reviews plus they were about 5-10 mins from where I was located. It was a little hard to find in the shopping center but it's right in the corner next to a dance school. Upon entering you immediately got an I'm at home feeling. I was greeted and given plenty of time to figure out what to order. I really wanted to try the gumbo everyone was raving about but my tastebuds said otherwise. When I ordered the owner stated all food was made to order & was that okay. I stated yes & the wait wasn't too bad, just don't be in a rush. Food: 2 piece dark with fries & a small side of red beans & rice -- $9.07; let me tell you, those red beans spoke to my soul ! Their a must try. The chicken was just as delicious with a nice crunch. I was starving but ended up still taking some home. Drink: Lemon Sweet Tea -- $2.15; I was hesitant about getting something to drink but I ended up getting the tea which was just right. Maybe a little too sweet for my taste buds but still better than any other place. Ultimately, I will definitely be back if I'm in the area. The owner was very personable & respectful."
"I'm back! I'm sooooo glad we came back years later to give them another shot. My last review speaks for itself, but I strongly believe in how management is everything and management can change.ANYWAY, we came at a time that could be considered off-peak, it was neither crowded nor dead, but service was spectacular. I asked the server's name and I "think" she said Sophie? Anyway, she was great, full of good suggestions and even made some substitutions I was grateful to get.The food was DELICIOUS! And they had a great promotion to get free "Dirty Balls" appetizer with 2 entrees (Sun-Thurs), and actually never had them before and they were very nice. Might get them again in the future. In short, it was nice to have what felt like "the old Bayou Jack's back". Glad we took the chance, nobody else's Cajun food is/was as good for miles around.See ya again soon, Jack!"
"This place has amazing Cajun dishes! And the owner, David, is a treasure trove of history and travels. Highly recommend."
"This is prob the best pho I ever have. I have tried lots of pho places from east coast to west coast including California with west minister locations and nowhere beats this place. I got the belle pho with brisket, meatball and tendons and the meat was very tender and well done not overcooked. The broth tasted perfect for me without needing to add additional lime. Noodle was well done. Price is reasonable and cheaper than most pho places. Everything in this pho bowl tastes perfect and come together in harmony. Tried their grilled baguette and it is soooo gooooooood and very creative. I highly recommend this spot to anyone and I am def returning here in future"
"This is some good southern fish and chicken! Always freshly made. Try it out you won't be disappointed."
"This place is always a vibe!! My daughter and I always love it. We always treated with respect and it's always a VIBE in here!! The food is THE BOMB!! Makes me feel like I'm back home in Shreveport!! Definitely a place I come when I'm homesick!"
