I had either the cheese enchiladas or a cheese chile relleno, which was nice to know that they had some vegetarian-friendly items on their menu.The weird thing about this place is the restroom situation. There are 2 toilets, but no "stalls". To make matters worse, there is also a sign asking people not to flush the toilet paper, but to put it in the trash cans. At least there are extra trash cans specifically for used toilet paper, & they have lids on them. I flushed it anyways, since this is Texas and not some third-world country! Your plumbing just needs updating!I would still go back there to try other dishes. I just may not go as often as Papa's, since that's more convenient of a walk."

"I've been back to The Nest a few times since my first review and had to update it after this last visit with all three kiddos.They were not looking forward to trying someplace new, but when they read the menu they got excited and when their food arrived they were thrilled (so was I!)The older kiddos ordered the Kids Pancakes, which usually leaves them starving, but when the two large pancakes were placed in front of them with a side of whipped cream (a special request) they were thrilled. My youngest had the eggs, bacon and min pancakes kids order and was also thrilled. She shared the bacon with her brothers, ate the eggs and took home the pancakes she just couldn't finish. Meanwhile I got to enjoy every bit of my Wrap (still my favorite thing on the menu) with side salad. Everything was fresh, the service was quick and we all left full and happy. Family dining, grab your own seat, no fuss diner food! I always grab the omelette here and build it myself. Ask for extra crispy bacon! Lately the service has been a little bit slower but I don't mind as they're always so nice about it. Our toddler adored her pancakes and wants DJ go again!

This place is just down the road from me & has been on my list to try forever. I finally had a morning off work and had the best solo brunch! The cafe is so cute, the service is phenomenal, and the food/coffee... chefs kiss. I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!

Service was fabulous! Food was ethereal! I enjoyed the Belgium waffle like no other I have experienced. If you know, you well know I love waffles. At First Watch today my waffle was crispy and browned beautifully. I requested a sliced banana to accompany the waffle. Appreciate both service and food on this day. Tea glass was refilled quickly. Same with water bottle and glasses. Kale yeah was refreshing and just plain delicious, yeah! On this afternoon our wait time was an hour this after our check in with the kind and warm host! He clearly stated wait time would be an hour no less. He was spot on. But, we did not have much else planned for the afternoon. Happy to return. we should plan a Saturday visit not Sunday!

How many times do you wish a breakfast spot would ask how you want certain items prepared, like poached eggs, toast , bacon or hash browns. This attention to detail was awesome as Isabella made sure my eggs were to my liking (poached soft), my bacon was crispy and my daughter's hash browns were also crispy. Said daughter just moved nearby, so I'm sure we will be back! Cute and airy space with a little coffee bar at the front right. Peppermint lattes with oatmilk were wonderful on a chilly day. Food was amazing and service overall was also great, especially given it was a quiet weekday about 30 mins before closing.

Stopped in at the Yellow Rose Cafe for breakfast this morning. This is the 1st time I have visited this location. I was impressed with how clean the restaurant was for a small town and an older location. The breakfast food select use impressive (I will visit again to try more) with a combination of country cafe breakfast selects along with Mexican style breakfast selects. I had scrabbled eggs with mexican sausage, beans, rice with tortillas. The food arrived within 7 minute after ordering and the food was hot and fresh. The restaurant was about half full. The server was very polite and checked on us just enough to make sure we were okay. We will return again to try more food items next time I am in the area.

The food was delicious, a great little sandwich shop. The service was good, they were very friendly. The front room was cute and decorative keeping with the restaurant theme, but the back room looked like a mishmash of old school stuff kind of like what you would find at a thrift store. If they updated that back room and tweaked some details in the front then I think this place would be a knockout! Overall we had a great experience!

We came in for lunch and really enjoy their French Dip hot sandwich (full order) it's plenty to split between two, just ask kindly for a second dipping sauce and they will get you taken care of. We also love their chicken Caesar salad and all of their pastries. Breakfast is so delicious and their coffee is hot fresh and pleasant. If they run out, no worries they always have a back up freshly brewed and ready to go. We enjoy the outdoors patio on sunny days and crisp fall weather too. "I won the Fourth of July long weekend staycation discussion and almost won the how great was the Swexan debate until our brunch order arrived with the avocado toast on white bread and not on whole wheat bread like we had requested. Otherwise we loved the patio seating and enjoyed taking our time with the assortment of chef's choice pastries, vegetable crudités, and avocado toast. It was really almost the perfect breakfast after a long night of waiting for the baby to fall asleep. Why doesn't avocado toast default to whole wheat or multigrain bread?
