Angelo C. "The food landscape across Texas is dominated by Mexican restaurants for as far as the eye can see. So, finding a Guatemalan restaurant brought immediate excitement, as I'd never had the opportunity to sample food from that country. The restaurant is fairly large, with an amply sized dining area as well as a coffee shop, bakery, and small store.Upon my arrival it was pretty busy, with a wait of roughly 20 minutes. I figured surely this place had to be good! Once seated I was given a rather extensive menu that had a multitude of options I wasn't expecting. Let's start with the drinks; they have a large selection of hot and iced coffee beverages, from regular coffee to specialty flavored and seasonal lattes in addition to fruit flavored creations and smoothies. Essentially, whatever kind of coffee you fancy, they have it!The food menu is vast, and there are an abundance of traditional as well as American breakfast items ranging from enchiladas and chilaquiles to omelettes, French Toast, and pancakes. Although it wasn't on the menu, the server was accommodating and allowed me to get a mocha. After a long hard look, I decided on the eggs with loroco and cheese. The mocha was a creamy blend of chocolate and espresso that was quite satisfying, while the eggs came with plantains, refried black beans, salsa, and a slice of cheese. Wow, the infusion of flavor was something to behold! The eggs were perfect, while the black beans and plantains delivered a boost of savory satisfaction. The best part of it all? I left feeling satisfied, not uncomfortably bloated. If you're in the Dallas area and want to step outside your comfort zone, check this place out. I will be sure to"

The outdoor seating is in a lovely courtyard, surrounded by shops, which made for a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. We ordered the Chicken and Waffles and the French Ham Benedict to share, and both dishes were great but not anything to write home to. I wish the waffles had more of that jalepeno flavor as they are jalepeno waffles but that is more of a personal preference. They came out quickly, and our server was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. All in all, it was a great experience, and I'm looking forward to coming back."

There is a huge workspace towards the back, where you can sip your coffee and do some work.I got the Kentucky cold brew, for under 5$ this drink was 10/10. Guy H. "Nice start to hump day. There have been so many new "sweet shops" opened around Dallas in the last few years,I decided I'd better try a few.Next up on my list, is Palmeris. I found myself in this part of downtown on business so, decided to partake in a coffee and pastry. Palmieri came up with good temperatures on Yelp so, I went for it. Its located in the Gentrified area called Farmers Market. In my childhood this was a real working farmers market and you could come here on any day of the week and find a selection of common foods, from fresh vegetables to meat and everything in between. Now it's been enclosed and spaces rented to food stalls and shops. Nice area. Most businesses were still closed when I arrived at about 920am. I searched for a while until I found Palmieri cafe. I didn't realize it was a walk-up. No harm though, they have an excellent staff of three waiting to expertly help you.I ended up ordering a Cappucino and Cornetto. The Cappucino was perfectly prepared and placed in a Real Cup for my pleasure. A Cornetto is a pastry made with eggs, butter, water, and sugar, then filled with pastry cream.I have to admit. For almost $5 I expected more. The flavor of the bread was fairly average and I expected a bite of richness. The cream filling was almost nonexistent. They could improve here.I would say if you are here and in the mood for a coffee or pastry give them a try. Otherwise, I don't think id go out of my way to get here!"

Really enjoyed their dulce de leche latte, the chicken bacon ranch quesadilla, and their cinnamon bun! My partner had their cheddar and bacon scone which was also really good! The breakfast tacos were good but lacked a little bit of flavor. The salsa on the side made up for it. Overall G&G is a great place to work. They do experience small rushes during the morning so it can get packed but once folks have ordered and eaten, it clears out. The managers/owners are super attentive to everyone. The only negative was that the WiFi cut out in the afternoon so most people who were there working (including me) had to leave to finish out the work day. Keith B. "ProsTasteOptionsConsSizeAmbienceI ran into this place a few weeks ago on social media with someone tweeting local black owned businesses around the DFW metroplex. I am definitely a fan of funnel cake besides the residue that makes someone look like a cocaine addict, but other than that they're delicious. One free Saturday I decided hey let me check it out so I went here with the intentions of gorging myself on some deliciousness. Sure enough the Strawberry Delight was amazing and gave me everything I needed from the place. There was so much that I couldn't even finish it, definitely outdid the undersized ones at the fair. The pricing was fair also for the services provided. They had several different flavors to choose from with plenty of fruit options, maybe not the best place for a health freak but definitely somewhere to go if you're big on eating around the town.On the down side the location was pretty small and I could tell they were either fairly new to the space or they just didn't care too much about the appearance of their business. There was roughly space for about 6 people at a single time, besides those in the kitchen area working. Size was definitely something to be worried about if this place is going to continue to grow like I know it should. The ambience was also very blend, there were a few colorful illustrations of ice cream and a beach/island themed concept drawn onto the walls, however there was not much more that jumped out and said "Funnel Cake Paradise," besides the actual name.So GREAT taste, average decor, definitely check this place out and grab a goodie on the way out!"

Manda C. "I've been to the new location a few times and I have to say that I strongly prefer the old location and how things used to be. That being said, I would say from the reviews and conversations with other Yelpers that there are 2 distinct ratings for this place.First, there is the rating for ordering fresh products- designing a cake, ordering a tray of cupcakes, etc. The consensus on that seems to be 4 to 5 stars and I'm glad to know when the items are baked fresh, they are still as stellar as I remember. Every time I have been in there one of the bakers is at a table consulting on making and delivering a wedding cake or a large order of some sort, so special orders and catering seem to be a distinct part of their current business model. The second rating is for the bakery itself, when you walk in off the street and want instant dessert gratification. That's a 3 star, and not just because I miss how it used to be, that really has been my experience every time I've come to the new location. On a personal level, I'm so disappointed because this was the only bakery I could consistently count on for so long and now they are so different. On the other, I respect a small business has to make changes to survive and I think the changes are a reflection of what the local audience is demanding. The current location is fairly large with a lot of seating. Up front is the display area to the left, a couple of tables in the middle and a sofa/chair layout to the right with a coffee table. In the back are various tables behind a partition and they keep their bussing containers less noticeable in the corner. It's actually a nice layout and the staff is much larger now, accommodating the size. I hardly ever see a familiar face when I stop by.In the previous layout, mini cupcakes could be found on any day of the week and in a variety of flavors. Since they've done away with those (unless you order an entire tray) I have been missing the perfect matching flavors, the moist cake and the great texture I came to count on.The larger cupcakes are dry and often bland. They usually only carry vanilla, chocolate and a couple of other flavors. I've tried multiple, including ones I used to get in the mini size and the filling has been lacking (both in flavor and actual quantity, there is very little) every time and they run from dry to stale. They have expanded their offerings in the bakery so you can also choose from a pie or two and several cream pie slices, cookies, brownies, bars, cake balls and usually another item or two. I've tried a couple of slices of pie and a cookie and they've been average to good. Many may find it satisfactory, but they are also a bit expensive for what you are getting.I am slightly annoyed that prices aren't easily posted like they used to be and on my last two visits, they weren't on the board at all. As a consumer, I prefer knowing ahead of time that the cupcake is now $3.79. I usually inquire about the prices before asking for a specific item, but if there is a line I may just ask for a slice of pie out of consideration and then get a little sticker shock when it's nearly $5. The point is, marking the trays or putting prices on the board would be both lovely and preferable. My rating is both a split of the in store and ordering experience, as well as a recognition that I probably took the adjustment harder than others because I'm so particular about desserts and loved the original format so much. Just because I can't find that old magic I loved, doesn't mean many people won't be plenty happy with it. However, I want a bakery to be consistent quality that matches the price so that I can count on it when I'm struck by a craving or want to eat my feelings in the form of sugar."

It's really really really good! The muffins I believe were regular sponge and when I say they were magnificent. Super moist and buttery, awesome snack! Milk Tea was good. If you prefer sweet boba and good flavored milk, you'd like this. I like them both sweet but this was still very smooth and I'd order again (if I can stop with the smoothies)!Only thing I was not a fan of is the cheesecake. Definitely needs some work. This is one of those posts. Yes, I know I've been bad about checking in, but I just had a son, so I've been a bit busy. Plus, since the Pandemic, we've been getting deliveries from here more than actually picking stuff up.We've been coming here for years and feel like they're part of our family. This place has become our go-to coffee shops because they have a great mix of friendly customer service (shout out to Brian, you're awesome) and solid selections. We come here so often, I think we are now over 100 visits, which may explain why my fiancé is the duchess here! But, they have earned our patronage through consistently good customer service, great coffee, and good donuts.Arguably, ABC may have too many items on their menu as I often say that businesses are better served as masters of a few items, instead of being mediocre at many. However, ABC does a good job at having a massive menu, and doing all items well, at least the ones we've ordered.Their coffee menu always blow me away. I've tried about 10 or 15 different coffee drinks, and each has been scrumptious. From white chocolate with raspberry to pumpkin spice, ABC's coffee game is on point.Whether you walk in or drive through, you will have a pleasant experience with an employee who seems to genuinely want you to have a great experience. If you need help selecting, you got it. If you need an explanation of anything, you got it. If something isn't what you wanted, they'll replace it. For me, spectacular customer service always brings a rating up, and ABC delivers on it here.Do I recommend this place? Yes. Jennifer S. "This was our first experience at House of Bread. It appeared to be a quaint little place to get all of the best baked goods. This review is just for the pre-made items, with the exception of my son's order of a plain grilled cheese. He said it was amazing. The absolutely highlight of the place is that you can buy a jar of sourdough starter. They take the jar to the back, put a cup or two of their starter and send you home with care instructions. We got a loaf of sourdough. The sour dough is "just ok." It is very dense. A little chewy. I've had a lot of homemade sourdoughs that were light and crispy. I appreciate the fact that it isn't super processed, so we are making the best of it. We got a pan of chocolate chip coffee cake. The streusel on top looks like it would have a good cinnamon to sugar ratio. Unfortunately, it tastes like brown-colored flour. No cinnamon flavor, no dusting of sugar. Nothing. If it had been a little more flavored it could have saved the cake. The actual cake was good but it isn't what I'd call "chocolate chip." It had very few choc chips in it and the chips it did have had floated to the bottom. Probably could have used a dusting in flour prior to adding to the batter. I have a little of this with coffee each morning but have to scrape about an inch and a half of bland crumble off to make it edible. We also grabbed this delectable-looking raspberry bread. Its ingredients include raspberry puree, honey, some kind of glaze. I was so excited about this one! I could barely cut through it. Then, when I tried to take a bite, I could not chew it. It was so tough. It felt similar to trying to eat a large, refrigerated gummy bear. It found its way to the garbage, unfortunately.I had a chocolate croissant. The croissant was amazing. It was "filled" with chocolate. The chocolate "filling" was a sprinkle of chocolate chips that weren't melted. I really wanted to love this place. We may try again when we are in the area."
